General | Posted 13 years agoI've been having some terrible anxiety dreams the past couple of nights...
Like 2 nights ago I dreamed that my school president (who I love and respect and know on an almost personal basis) was yelling at me and lecturing me about smoking weed, and in the same night I had a dream about one of my ex friends who I had to ditch this summer because our relationship wasn't healthy, hadn't been for a long time. In the dream, she was following me around and clinging like nothing had happened...
And then last night I dreamed I was at one of my dad's friends house, and there were a lot of like, disturbed redneck types there and I had ordered takeout, and apparently ordered bacon on EVERYTHING, so the delivery person brought like 5 sandwiches and burgers just loaded with bacon and meat and cheese. In the dream I was like, ready to cry--I don't eat animals, I can't eat animals, the thought of eating meat makes me sick. I do eat eggs sometimes and I try not to eat as little dairy products as I can (sometimes I accidentally get stuff with dairy in it). Ugh, it was just such a disturbing dream... Why do I keep having these!

3 Commission Slots, 1 Trade Slot, and an art Pen Pal?
General | Posted 13 years agoHi guys! So I have a few new watchers, I just want you all to know I have 3 commission slots open and one trade slot open! There are also a bunch of adoptables in my gallery that need good homes.
And I had an idea, I think it would be really fun to have an FA art penpal... Like we write little letters to each other, but also do drawings for one another every time we get a letter? If anyone is interested in doing that, just lemme know!

Wolf's Hollow

So where I go to school is like, less than half an hour away from Ipswich, MA. In Ipswich, there is this rescue place called Wolf's Hollow where, obviously, they have wolves! You can go and visit and get the tour, etc. etc., but you can also VOLUNTEER! And after a training period, interact with certain wolves!
AAAH!
I'm still struggling with getting physically close to canines because of my dog bite, but I have got to volunteer at Wolf's Hollow. It will give me something to do during xmas break and in the summer in case I'm not able to find a full time job. I'm so excited right now. I'm sure if I volunteered there, I would have the opportunity to watch and draw the wolves too!
My art would get so much better if I was able to observe REAL wolves!!!!

Things Are Looking Up
General | Posted 13 years agoYesterday my parents came down to visit me and see the big art show I curated. My dad helped me pay for a new scanner and it's AMAZING!!!! That's why I uploaded a whole bunch of stuff (sorry for the spam, watchers). It keeps all the detail and the colors stay almost perfect, with a little tweaking in PS I can get my pieces to look the same on here as they do in real life!
My show is over, and although I found out today that I am supposed to have the book Beauty Queens by Libba Bray finished tomorrow by 2pm (I'm 96 pages in... about 300 to go. Oh well), I'm doing a lot better than I have been. I'm hoping my luck is turning for the better.
Soon I'll have time to work on stuff for FA. Right now I'm coloring up a few adoptables, and still working on my commission for Arlesey. Look forward to more art soon! <3

General | Posted 13 years agoMy scanner broke... finally. Of course when I have a commission and am starting to gain some footing on here... I'm going to buy one tomorrow, I don't even care.
I guess something bad had to happen to balance things out, I got probably $60-$70 worth of mat board, paper, and mat frames for free today! Plus a little shelf to help me organize my art supplies. Ugh, why scanner why! I was having such a good day!

So I've had a FurAffinity account before, but I sort of lost track of it and haven't been on in probably a year or two. I've gotten this one because I'm now a Junior in college, and I know graduation is going to come up before I know it, and I want to start networking and creating an online market for my art.
I love the community here on FA, it's much more open and welcoming than dA or other art sites, and I feel that the nature of my work won't be criticized here.
I'm also looking to make a little extra cash with my art, and I'm hoping after a while I can gain some traction here and start getting commissions. We'll see how things go! I'm off to browse and start watching a few people!
