TransformNation in 2019!

Yes, the last journal here was from two years ago -- and a lot has happened since then! We've been having a lot of fun over on Twitter interacting with you creators and fans of TF; and this next year will be filled all that and more! Now, unfortunately this page has collected a little dust in the process, but true to our nature, that shall change! The first project we have planned is actually a new monthly one that ties in both accounts -- what we're calling our TFN Banner Project. On the first #TFTuesday of each month, we'll be rotating the featured images in our banner over on Twitter, to highlight new artists! Each new banner will be accompanied by a pinned Tweet with links to the artists' galleries and social media, so folks can easily find and follow them! At the same time, these new banners will be updated on this page so if you're not on Twitter, you will still get a mix of five new artists per month featured here on TFN!

Back to Business!
Posted 9 years agoAloha, all you fine, furry, transformation-loving furs! Travis, ShadowFox014, here with a few updates!
First off, Curious and I have regained control of this account again, obviously! :D It took a little time to get everything sorted, and after some confusion on both sides, the fine staff here changed our info to allow us to sign in! :3
Second, for those of you on Twitter, I'm pleased to announce that TransformNation now has a presence there! :D You can find it right over here! Feel free to ask questions, share stuff, it's all about building a better TF-y community! I'm currently on vacation now, so updates there a bit slow for the next week or so, but starting next Tuesday I've got some fun plans for anyone wanting to participate!
If you're interested in what sorts of things will be going on there, think small games, short contests, giveaways (including TF licenses, Pokemon Trainer licenses, free drawings/morphs, and more!), polls, artist shoutouts, and other fun things! I'm working on some designs for some schnazzy TF Nation Membership cards that'll only be available to winners and some participants in giveaways and contests here and on Twitter!
Lastly, I'm sure you may have noticed, we finally have an icon! :D Now, I'm sure some of you are wondering what it is! It's a flag! :3c I was thinking, nations have flags, we're TransformNATION, we need a flag! Thanks to a few furry folks who helped refine the design with their feedback! If any of you (that I haven't told!) can be the first to guess the inspiration of the shaping and colors, you'll snag a free sketch from me! :3 No worries if not, it's not too obvious, but let's see who can find out! ^^
If you're interested in showing some TransformNation pride, you can put the flag in your profile by using--

Might have a small contest in the works as well, so be sure to stay tuned to this page and/or Twitter for news on that a bit later! It may have something to do with these...Pocket...Monsters...on the go...and what not.... >;3c

Contest over!
Posted 9 years agoIt's past Valentine's day, so the contest is over (unless you just forgot to let us know about your entry). Thanks to those who made an entry, we really like them and appreciate it! You can find the entries on the old contest form, I edited and updated it to include them, so check 'em out!
In other news, things have been really busy for both Shadow and I, and I, and we currently don't have plans for anything immediately in the future. If you have any suggestions, feel free to share!
And we still need an icon for a group, we'd really appreciate your feedback on what you would like, would represent everyone in the tf community, and what might be fun!

Update and Valentine's Day Contest!
Posted 9 years agoHey, Curious here! Just giving you folks an update on the exchange. Thanks again for everyone who participated, it really produced some nice art and made a lot of people happy :D 
Rimme even made a collage of some of the entries! Check it out here! As for those who haven’t received art yet, we just sent you each a message and we are doing everything we can to get you something and sent out. We apologize for the delay, this was my first time running any sort of large group thing, and Shadow’s second, and boy was it a learning experience and a time commitment with the hours of logistics behind organizing and trying to make it run smoothly. We’re gonna take what we learned and improve any future events, and hopefully make everything better!
Speaking of which, we’re announcing our Valentine’s Day contest! This one is much more simple than the exchange. It ends on Valentine’s Day, when we’ll post the entries and set up a ballot for anyone to vote! A week later we’ll announce the winner. And here’s the prompt:
Magic is in the air, and it’s the day to share it with someone special. Luckily, a new card store, Pawmark, allows you to do just that! Create a Valentine’s Day card of poem that shares the love of transformation with someone, and/or show your special someone experiencing the love! Feel free to include your significant other, a great friend, or even yourself (you need love too).
Oh, and despite the theme, this is a general rating only, no adult artwork will be entered into the vote. Have fun with it!
I think that's everything for now, we'll have our first interview with a TFnation citizen later this week, so look for that too!

A Happy Transformation-y New Year!

It's been a crazy year, 2015! Lots of great pictures, stories, podcasts, and more! You're one heck of a community and curious~red~fox and I thank you for your support so far! As many of you know, the 2015 Holiday TF Exchange is going on currently and Cameron just posted up the entries we've gotten so far! We have had quite a large turn out and many folks have already turned stuff in, but if you're worried about when this "closes", that's what we're here to announce!
The "due date" for this year's Holiday TF Exchange is January 7th, 2015!
Now, we want everyone to shoot for this date but we understand that stuff can come up, and that you'll need more time. We just want to make sure nobody is left without a gift, so just let us know and we'll make sure the recipient knows they're not forgotten!
As we move forward into 2016 and the first actual year of this group, we wanted to know how we could improve this sort of exchange for the future! We understand there was some lack of oversight on our part regarding mature content, so rest assured, all future contests, exchanges, and the likes will reflect what we've learned from this one! We're still new at this as well, so with your help we can evolve and grow this group into something fun for the whole community! Feel free to post below what you liked, disliked, and what you may want to see added, altered, or taken away! A community can't be a community without the...well...community!
We've got a lot of plans for this next year; lots of fun things coming up! We're already planning another potential exchange/swap like this around Valentine's Day, so stay tuned for more information on that! As such, we also want to move into the new year with some new content such as interviews with creators and spotlights for folks and their work! IT IS TIME
Posted 9 years agoAlright! It's close enough to the holidays, and judging by some of these notes we've been getting, some of you guys are speedy with your art! Don't worry though, you still have plenty of time to finish! Feel free to upload your art or stories, just make sure you do the following:
1) Upload your artwork on Furaffinity
2) Send a note to your person, letting them know you finished
3) Send us a note so we can keep track of everyone's entry
We need to keep track of everyone's submissions so we know who completed their end of the bargain, and, if it comes to it, who didn't, which is why sending us the note with the link is so important. Remember, if we don't receive a submission from you, you WILL NOT be allowed to participate in any exchanges in the future.
Around the end I'll post a journal with the link's to everyone's entries, all nice and organized, so we all have one nice and neat place to see everyone's fantastic art.
Hope everyone's having fun, and happy holidays once again!

A Note to TF Exchange Members About Ratings

This is ShadowFox014 speakin'! I wanted to apologize for some confusion and straighten out some details about this year's TF exchange. As you may have noticed we allowed for mature and adult themes (triggers, etc) to be asked for by the recipients. Because of the nature of randomly assigning everyone a partner, some folks were matched up with folks who asked for something not within their comfort zone. We are aware that some folks rather not draw or create anything with those sort of ratings but we failed to separate everyone into separate groups.
If you received information for a person but are uncomfortable with drawing something adult, feel free to make something of a general rating! If the suggested triggers are too explicit for your tastes, feel free to go with our provided one (transformation via a present left at the person's door). We got more participants than we could have hoped for for this first run; and we are lucky to have a wide assortment of artists and writers from all sorts of backgrounds with all different sorts of tastes. Some folks might not get their preferred rating but I'm sure they'll be more than happy with a gift drawing or story with an animal they like.
Moving forward for future exchanges, games, and the likes, we'll probably look to staying at more a general rating. We'd never want anyone feeling uncomfortable in this sort of thing. It's the holidays! Have fun!

curious~red~fox felt like it was time for a more lively hangout for those tfers, tfees, and everyone else who is a fan of transformation art, stories, ideas, daydreams, whatever, and are hoping this will grow to be the place! This is a group for enthusiasts of any kind of transformation, regardless of species, gender, theme, trigger, body shape, composition, or any other factor you can think of!
We plan to lead discussions, host polls, interview transformation artists, hold contests and art exchanges, and more. Speaking of which, we're already getting together a Secret Santa TF exchange, so keep a look out for more info.
Who can be a member? Why, anyone! Lycanthropes, shapeshifters, experimentation subjects, curse victims, that random girl who accidentally used dog shampoo and soon found it more suitable anyway, or that guy whose fursuit suddenly can't come off. Any TFer, TFee, or spectator of such is welcome! Just watch the group and viola! You're a member!
