Over the next few days I will be going through my list of characters and I will be putting more up for sale. I’m taking a huge step back from the fandom so I don’t see the point in holding on to a ton of characters.

Well, let's start off that I know it's typical to write these types of things. Hell, I've said all this stuff a million times. Year after year it's been the same thing. Lose weight. Save money. Be more independent. Be closer with my family and friends. Practice drawing more. Be a better pet owner. It's always the same goals, and where sometimes I will improve in one area, I'll slack in the other. I've come to realize it's not fair. Not fair to me or the people around me. So, with 2018 fast approaching, I'm going to be making these goals again but I am going to put literally all of my effort into each one. Now, this means that I will not be around as much as I have been in the past, though I've kinda been MIA for a bit. This year has opened my eyes to a lot of stuff and I've learned some really valuable lessons...learned what's important. This year has definitely been one of the hardest for me, as I lost my 16 year old Border Collie, Brynn. She was my namesake. It's been really rough not having her around here lately, but I know she's not suffering anymore and that gives me a slight peace of mind.

I'm sure most of you who have spoken to me this year know I haven't been the best friend. I've said things out of anger, perpetuated rumors. Sabotaged friendships that I've had for years because I just have not been mentally ill, and to be honest, I don't think I saw the issue? I was a very "bandwagony" person. This means, if I heard someone talking shit, I'd join in. If I saw someone doing something I knew was wrong but it was "in", I did it. This all sprung from the need to be liked. I needed that attention. To be loved. To have a ton of friends. Hindsight is 20/20 though, because being that way -- having that mindset cost me a lot of friends. It cost me a lot of relationships. I haven't been a great person for the past few years - but this year was by far my worst.

I won't go into too much detail, unless you want to privately message me. I will say that the two people I likely hurt most this year were  Wielder and  Demiure. I know I said some really nasty things about the two of them because I was hurt. I was mad that we had severed ties essentially and I was 100% playing the victim. A lot of the things I said were heavily exacerbated and I wish I could take them back. I know I've caused a good bit of issues for the two of them and I am sincerely sorry. I've spoken to them and I've said my peace, so we are mostly good on that end. The moral of this though, is to please not hold onto things I've said about either of these girls. They've made mistakes, yes. But so have I. I will continue to make them. I'm human, so it's expected. But this year, and the understanding that I was met with by these people whom I've so severely wronged has opened my eyes tremendously. Like I said, I cannot take back the things I said/did, but moving forward I am going to try REALLY hard not to have this sort of negativity in my life.

I've recently started seeing a new therapist and with his help I have been facing some pretty gnarly demons and coming to terms with some really big things. I know that saying these things now doesn't do much, and I cannot erase the past, but I can promise to make an honest effort to move past it, and forward in the future. Admitting my mistakes has always been hard for me, so writing this is difficult, but it needs to be done. I want people to understand that who I was in the past 1-2 years is not who I will be moving forward. I have been working really hard since November already to better myself and it seems to be working thus far. I can only hope that I will keep getting better and growing as a person. It's hard for me to know I'm flawed, because I so badly want to be perfect - but I also understand that's not possible. SO, I guess what I'm saying here is this:

To those who I have hurt in the past - I really am genuinely sorry. I understand if you don't want to give me a second chance. I understand if you don't want to hear from me again or want anything to do with me. I know I've hurt a lot of people, torn them down just so I could feel good for a day or so - but know this is not me anymore. I am working on growing and being a better person, a better friend.

As far as other goals for myself, they are a bit personal, but just know I will be making lots of changes to myself and my life and they are all for the better. I'm excited to put my feet in front of me and not look back. I'm so ready to do this. I'm ready to be happy.

So things are okay for me. Aside from dealing with a load of shit IRL and a tiny bit of drama online things are going well. is here at my house for the entire month of October and we plan on doing lots of things together!

For one, we are going to a Portuguese Water Dog Jamboree in upstate SC, which Nauti will be going to to meet a lot of other Porties as well as Portie people! We are also going to be doing lots of spoopy halloweenie stuff so be ready for lots of crazy twitter pictures. It's nice having a sort of "step-roommate"! ALSO getting a new temporary roommate that is not a furry/has nothing to do with furry things on Tuesday so I will be spending a lot of time getting her settled in with her dogs! Things seem to be looking up for me after the shit I had to deal with last month. It's kinda nice. I have been meaning to write this journal for a good bit but could just never find the motivation tbh.

Many of you (lol probably not bc no one cares) may have noticed I'm not very active in the community anymore. This is for numerous reasons, mostly relating to real life which I won't bore you with. Being that I work 40+ hours a week and also have a new puppy I don't have time to sit on my computer all day. I am trying to lose weight as well as spend time with my family and get back into nature as well. After some recent visits to the hospital, I have come to realize being caught up in this online world just isn't what I need to be doing, especially not right now. I am trying to move forward and get my life on track and be a better person, and sometimes that means stepping back so that's just what I'm doing. I will still have my telegram and will still be answering that but please don't wait for a reply here.

SO FWA was really fun, despite all the drama I enjoyed hanging out with everyone. I got to meet new people and got to hang out with some pretty cool faces that I missed a lot. Also got to meet one of my biggest DJ idols and enjoyed getting to know him as well as 2 of my favorite suiters! This con was really nice and I had a great time with my YIKESSQUAD and even got initiated into the dumpterfire squad, haha. SO all in all, great con. There was a lot of drinking and i really miss it. can't wait for it next year. <3

I got a job literally TUESDAY that I got back and started work the next day. I am working at a premier grooming salon that does roughly 30 dogs a day between 4 groomers, 3 bathers and a receptionist. xD We are BUSY. So please don't take me not answering comments/notes/journals as me not wanting to...I just literally have been working anywhere from 7-12 hours a DAY and my days off, for now, are Monday and Tuesday. These will be the days I dedicate to helping some people with their emails for their art businesses. (I am for HIRE as a secretary, but I am only looking to add maybe one or two more people to my list of artists whom I help!)

Hey guys, unfortunately this update is not a good one. One of my good friends, has lost her dear dog, Sydney. Hey guys, so as some of you who have followed have noticed, I changed my name from ! The name didn't fit me anymore, and honestly Brynn doesn't. I know that's kind of weird thing for me to say, but she's been my fursona since 2006. At least as designed at the moment. There's plenty of things about her that didn't work with who I am now, and that's perfectly okay! People change, and so why wouldn't our fursonas? They are the furry....us???? I guess?!

If you really want to know why Brynn didn't fit me anymore, here's a small list of reasons:

Border Collies are not a dog I could see myself as, anymore. I have slowed down as I've gotten older and I'm starting to not be so insane with keeping things tight and close together. This was definitely a trait I could match with this breed, as it's almost borderline OCD.
There's a LOT and I mean a LOT of negativity tied to the "Brynn" design. Some of it is petty, yes. Some of it is detailed and real. You can't really put a price on how it makes me feel though. So with wanting to get my REAL LIFE back on track, I figured my online life needed somewhat of a re-boot too, if that makes sense? I think in my head...I felt like if I stuck with Brynn, there would be no escaping that "old" me.
Bynn was a much more aggressive, much more "get up and go" type character. I just...am not like that anymore. I'm much more reserved and kept to myself lately. This of course isn't a bad thing, but it's a part of me that has changed and something I just have to accept.

So what does that mean for Brynn the Border Collie?
As of right now she's being marked as retired. What does that mean? It means I will no longer be actively using her in my art or commissioned work past this date. Now, I know some of you are wondering if that means she can no longer be drawn, or if you can still refer to me as "Brynn". I do not mind gift art being done of her, as she is still a huge part of me and is still something I hold near and dear to my heart. I will always love Brynn and would never have the heart to sell her. (I've thought about it but she has so much invested it'd be close to 5k to pry her from me.) Of course you can still call me Brynn! It's a name I have adopted over the years, and people were calling me that even before Brynn was set the way she is as far as design goes. I am still looking into legally changing my name to this, so of course it's acceptable. HOWEVER, if you would like a new name to call me by, feel free to call me Travel, or any derivative of that! (:
