My stories! an announcement for more of them
Posted 2 years agoLets get the first thing out of the way; i suck big dragon balls at keeping my FA updated with all of my stories. Like not even 40% of my stories are on here.
Why? idk i find FA terrible for story uploads, basicly we have a dutch saying for what my opinion of FA is and their redesigns. "All draagt de aap een gulden ring het is en blijft een lelijk ding"
I always said all my stories are on https://tretron.sofurry.com but thats a lie, truly old stories, back from 2009 or earlier are not uploaded on sofurry. They are deviant art only, Deviant art who has shown to be horrible to.
And this is something that worries me about the whole internet, the Enshitification of the internet. While I really enjoy sofurry and will keep uploading there. I am not comfortable to keep uploading to one platform. (Like, for example the german law suddenly being "oh you are not allowed to do this" and threatening legal action)
So, what i do about that? I it's not like I am going to suddenly keep uploading here, i try that several times. No, i need a site that is my own, hosted by me, run by me, like a little safe space on the wide web. An space where you don't have to log in to view adult content, one where i can easily share my stories.
I did just that; https://tretron.me is my new story blog, all of my own. all stories uploaded even the old onces, even the deleted onces. And all in my controll.

thoughts on copyright
Posted 11 years agolately i am just thinking a bit about it and how people handle it. since the in the furry community a lot of people share and spread pictures the lines of copyright get blurry...really fast.
at first i think copyright is far to long, life time from the author plus 70 years. that totally undermines the reason copyright exist the first place. but that besides; what is it really? copyright is "he exclusive and assignable legal right, given to the originator for a fixed number of years, to print, publish, perform, film, or record literary, artistic, or musical material" (oxford dictionary)
and that brings me to the first frustration i have "fair share" etc etc people spreading other peoples work claiming that such things. personally i hate it, i want to have control over the work i have copyright on or shared copyright (art made by other persons or art with other persons's character) yet different sites are made to tap in on this...okay i they mostly do link the source what kind of justifies it and different people have different opinions but i find that even that is not alright. since i can't check all the sites on the internet and i do not want my character to appear on other peoples account. the argument "if the artist doesn't want it he/she needs to take it down" is not an ethical one for this kind of work. you should not just post art of artists on sites, that itself is already against the copyright law since the copyright holders have control over the distribution.
one other thing...art theft, character theft....please do not call it like that, i know i used the term in the past also...but seriously taking others people art or character and claiming it to be yours is not theft; it is copyright infringement. now it might be a bit nitpicking on the term but using "theft" gives those who are guilty something to hide behind saying "it is not theft i never remove the original"

at first i think copyright is far to long, life time from the author plus 70 years. that totally undermines the reason copyright exist the first place. but that besides; what is it really? copyright is "he exclusive and assignable legal right, given to the originator for a fixed number of years, to print, publish, perform, film, or record literary, artistic, or musical material" (oxford dictionary)

Posted 12 years agoso i sold an dragon on the action and i from almost 70k to only 1k FUCK YOU YOU HORRIBLE GAME! learn to freaking programm your freaking game and get those fucking bugs out your fucking game! i can make better games when i am asleep! and i still need to learn PHP on a level to make a game site!
