Lykos Wild Things - Season One over!
Posted 11 years agoOkay, since the first arc of Wild Things is officially over - don't worry, I've already started writing chapter 7! - I thought a journal where I ramble about some unnecessary and minor details could be interesting. Or maybe not. Whatever!
First of all, however, it's time for some advertisement! For those of you who don't know, Argouru (https://argouru.sofurry.com/) has started publishing the second official Lykos spin-off, titled "Lykos - Lone Wolf" (that you can read here: https://www.sofurry.com/view/637558). Go read it, because it's very cool and captures another side of the wolves in the Lykos-verse that is different both from Leo_Todrius' vision and mine!
So... Let's start with the plans I have for the series right now. The idea is for the series to last three arcs, each one comprised of six chapters; since the first arc is over, this means there will be twelve more chapters left. I have almost everything planned, more or less... But considering that the story I've written so far is almost completely different from what I planned it to be when I decided to start writing it, nothing is set in stone, of course. That's why I'm asking you readers for some feedback: is there any part of the story so far you liked in particular? Some characters or situations you would like to be expanded upon more? Feel free to tell me everything you want about it!
And now, time for some random - and totally irrelevant - trivia!
- the initials of the name of Wyatt and Drake's packmembers spell the world "pack". Believe it or not, this was totally unintentional;
- the inspiration for the character of Cordelia is actress Sarah Paulson, who you can probably recognize for her roles in the three series of American Horror Story; the fact that she's named after the character Ms. Paulson is currently playing was intended;
- as I more or less explicitly said in the story, Richard is modelled after Johnny Depp, except with longer hair;
- Grace, Wyatt's little sister, was inspired by Kirsten Dunst's performance of Claudia in "Interview with a Vampire" (except Grace is, well, not THAT creepy, lol);
- the idea for Talia and her four betas comes from an anime, more specifically from Satsuki Kiryuin and her Elite Four from Kill La Kill (funny thing, the character of Nui Harime has recently appeared in the series, and she's basically how I was imagining Jeanne, except for the hairstyle and the eyepatch); her looks are taken from Chell as she appears in Portal 2, however;
Um... I can't think about anything else to say, so... I hope you'll keep reading Wild Things until the end! For now, Happy New Year everyone, to a 2014 full of werewolves!
