Confirmation Tw: Miscarriage
Posted 4 years agoSo, everything I was concerned about came true. I was in fact pregnant and I had a miscarriage. Granted it was a very quick affair. It was more the after affects that had anything to due with my health. Yesterday I ended up going to the hospital for acute abdominal pain and after some rooting around in my guts it was confirmed.
I am home safe, just a little sore. Please be patient with me as I take the next couple of days to heal and work on some personal art to try and move past all of this.

The funeral went well and I've been working when I can. Before I left for GA I had been about a month late for my cycle, and this really wasn't normal for me given the circumstances. I went to the doctor and got a pregnancy test done but there was no call back. I sat in a limbo for another two weeks before I started bleeding again. That was about a week and a half ago and I haven't stopped - which is also weird. So doing as much research as I can (my doctor is backed up for appointments, thank you Tricare), I've come to a few conclusions.
1) The Pfizer vaccine fucked with my cycle and this is just my body getting back into the swing of it. (I don't regret it)
2) I have a Chemical Pregnancy and this is infact a first trimester miscarriage; which is fine because I don't want kids anyway - it just fucking hurts physically.
So thank you guys for putting up with my time down, I am still working through the Ref sheet list and the customs.
Remember to drink some water!

A note to my commissioners. [TW: Death]
Posted 4 years agoJust an update for everyone who is still on my working list, I want to give you guys a heads up that I'll be going on a two-three week hiatus from my work due to the death of my Mother-In-Law. I'll be spending most of this time with my husband and helping him as I can.
I will post the finished pieces when/if I get a chance to work on them, but I should be back in action soon. Thank you so much for your understanding.

On Friday a minor tragedy happened at my home that cost me my external hard drive. Lady, just trying to be the pupper that she is, ended up knocking over my computer desk in an attempt to join her people on the couch. I wasn't quick enough to catch the TV tray that serves as my desk.
Everything went down; my laptop, my tablet, the external, and my phone. Luckily the laptop and phone got off without a scratch, but the external and the tablet suffered some damage.
The tablet has a scratch across the center of it - but it still works and draws just fine. It's something I can work with happily. The external however... One of the mechanisms in the machine has come lose and it would cost an estimated $1.2K to get a professional to open up the case and do a data retrieval since it no longer connects to computers.
So, I will be restarting the WIPs that had been on there, and I'm really, really sorry for the additional time they're going to take.
