Not Dead
Posted 8 years agoIn case anybody's curious. I'm not dead I just don't have much time for the things I like to do.
New book!
Posted 10 years agoOkay, so you might know about
Cobalt_Raccoon and my yearly competition with each other. But I bet you didn't know (and this is kind of awesome) we put our stories into a book! Now since I wrote the winning stories, Rusty designed the cover and it looks great for the most part! We each got a copy and I certainly approve. It's not perfect, but I doubt that it's flaws will be that distracting for most people. Besides, it's my First Ever Book! I'd be more concerned if it didn't have it's flaws. I'm sure Rusty feels the same way about his copy. What about you?

I'm tired of all the hate.
Posted 10 years agoSeriously, I am tired of all the hate in this world. Most of you out there don't know that I was gone. Even more of you don't care. I get it. I either can't (or in some cases won't) give you what you want. That's fine. I've been in quite a bit of an artistic depression lately so that why I haven't posted in a while. The main reason for my depression is the large amount of hate that I have to work with on a daily basis from those that I had worked with up until now. (but that's a different story, so it has nothing to do with today's post.)
I'm okay with hate to some degree. It's certainly much better than Apathy (of which I consider a greater sin than anything you can come up with). I honestly believe that hating someone is better than not caring about them at all. Or at least I did, until I remembered, Love greater than any negative emotion.
Today, a close relative of mine told me something that was extremely personal and I realized… he didn't trust me as much as he used to.
Honestly, I felt a bit betrayed, but he did ask me for advice and support and I gave it to him the best that I could, not even knowing that today the Supreme Court had made same sex marriage legal. Now a friend of mine and a friend of hers summed up their thoughts about this. Which leads me right back to my opening statement. I am tired of all the hate.
This is her account
A dear friend of my family and I summed this up perfectly today. And my thoughts exactly :
"I want to begin by saying God is not freaking out. He's not even shocked. Not even a little bit. I would go so far as to saying that He's not even concerned, because He knew this would happen before the foundation of the world. What's more is that I don't believe that Father is shaking His head in disgust either. God does not hate gay people. God does not dislike gay people. God is not annoyed by gay people. God LOVES gay people so much that He paid an incredible price for them, the price of His own perfect, sinless, precious Son. And the Church, at large, should start by agreeing with Him. Not "but"s, no exceptions. So gay people are getting married. So what? This does not in any way destroy the sanctity of marriage. The sanctity of marriage was "destroyed" (I use that loosely), long, long ago when man invited sin into his life, thereby usurping God's authority, making Himself an idol, and loving self more than God an others... spouse included. Are we really so prideful to believe that somehow WE have preserved the sanctity of marriage up until this point? I cry, "Nay". Marriage has been filled with idolatry, adultery, polygamy, and sin since long before today.
Is the practice of homosexuality a sin? Yep. Yes sir. God says so, and I choose to agree with Him. But in light of His adoration for these individuals who fail to see Him due to the blindness of their humanity and the assault of a fierce, wicked enemy who would see us all destroyed, we must be VERY adamant about a correct response. Now gay people are getting married! What should we do?!? LOVE them. Don't talk to them about how homosexuality is a sin. They've heard that. Westboro has more than clearly shouted that from the rooftops. Treat people like people. Love them as people. Guess what unbelievers act like? Unbelievers. Real shocker there. I believe the church needs to quit judging lost people for acting the only way they CAN act.
Instead, we need to invite them into our homes: all unbelievers of any race, socioeconomic status, or gender relation, and let them into our lives. Let them see Jesus, and let Him lead us from there. I think it's interesting that the slogan of the day has been "Love Wins". The LGBT community has held "love" as their banner for a long time. What's interesting is that they are not the first to carry that banner. As a matter of fact, they picked it up when another group of people laid it down. And that other group of people, is the church.
So am I outraged? No. Am I freaking out? Nope. I saw this coming a long way off. And, from a political standpoint, I'm a libertarian, so I believe that the government should stay out of marriage altogether. The only reason we have marriage licenses is because people didn't want black women who were married to their white, former owners after the Civil War to inherit land. Government involvement in marriage has always been due to money and always will be."
I agree with them. Marriage was Never a Government thing to begin with. If you want to be married then Be married regardless of what anyone says. Please share this account. Spread the love. Real love.

New year update!
Posted 11 years agoWell, it's been a year since I decided to break away from
and officially join Furaffinity and subsequently the fandom on my own… And it's been quite a productive year.
I made dozens of images, a couple of stories and my first fursona is feeling more and more like me as I worked on those "Um… ask me?" comics. This year, I'm going to try even more things on my own as well. Though… I'm not quite ready for meeting anyone else in person yet. (Sorry Rusty. Have fun on your trip though.)
Since I'm over a few personal issues that I had during the end of the year, I want to start this year off with (getting some old projects done such as
RacoonCrtic's story and) on my first big image. I mean I was already working on it before, but I'm seriously hyped up as I just finished the forth Full Nature Mode design (which is half them btw). So yeah, look forward to that as well.
Who knows what the rest of the year holds for us. All I can really say is that today is the first day of the rest of my life! And you're going to hear me Baaaaahhhhhhh…
@_@ Um… yeah. Excuse me. See i-I meant to say "roar…"

Well, it's almost pumpkin season.
Posted 11 years agoLast year my friend
cobalt_raccoon and I had a little spat about how the next chapter of our book should have been written. To solve the issue we issued a competition between the two of us, Whoever wrote the best Halloween Story Wins.
Needless to say I won!
Well, we're thinking about doing it again this year and are inviting everybody to join us in attempting to write the best horror story this year. We're going have to change the rules a little bit, but the same basic concept as last year should be okay.
Last year's rules can be found by clicking this sentence.
The actual competition will begin next month (August 1st). We have until October 1st to complete and then turn the story at Midnight MST on that date. As per the rules of last year, to avoid favortism, the stories will be posted at the same time and judged by a point system. The winners will be revealed October 20th @ midnight MST.

HappyBirthdayAmerica!
Posted 11 years agoFourth of July today. It is one of my favorite holidays of the year for two reasons.
1. It's my Birthday.
and
2. I get to blow stuff up!
Had a great day with family and friends today, so that's always a plus. It will still be a few hours before I'll be allowed to blow anything up, so… any personal property out there is safe… for now at least…
For anyone who's wondering about my current Pokémon series, well… I kind of got sick last week and this week was crazy hectic for my party and all. So Raider's Steel's next picture will be continued next week. Hopefully… I don't know. Turning 2500 is a big deal right? :P
GAH i feel so OLD RiGHT now.
