Happy thanksgiving!
General | Posted 11 years agoHello again everybody.
First off, happy thanksgiving to everyone out there who happens to actually read this page still. The story I was writing for this page took a bad turn and the main characters disagreed about how to fix the story, so if you were following it than I apologize as it has been moved to an indefinite hiatus. I have, however, caught wind of another story that some characters have want of me to tell.
I don't know how the folks here feel about Sci-Fi stories that do not contain any furries, but I hope that at least someone might still be interested in hearing what I have to write. I'm still working on chapter 1. It might not actually be chapter 1, but for now this is the part of the story that they are telling me so it gets to be 1 until they decide otherwise. Also, there may be furries in this story, I don't really know yet. The two main characters aren't, but nobody will tell me what the side characters look like, and furries do have a habit of inhabiting my mind, so there's the distinct possibility that they are there.
Anyways, if you want to see what I have written so far, drop a line here and I can upload the incomplete chapter 1 as a preview. In fact, if you even read this at all feel free to drop a line here. It'd be nice to know that someone cares to hear what I had to say, especially since one of my biggest links to the furry fandom has unceremoniously abandoned me as a friend.
Thanks for reading guys, stay happy, stay crazy.

Such a long time
General | Posted 12 years agoSo, to those of you who still remember me, I'm back.
I've had more than a bit going on in my life in the past year or so, and I haven't had nearly the time for FA or for writing that I would have liked to have had, but I intend to change that soon. I'm currently jotting notes for a new Sci-Fi story I have in the works. I don't want to reveal too much before I start putting story out there, but the story is going to be set in a far future setting during an unsteady peace between two nations with radically different ideals.
I've gotten married since the last time I logged on here, which is a big change from my last post and status update here. I plan to hit a few conventions nationwide this year, but only one fur con has made the list as of late. Hopefully I'll run into some furs at the others as well though.
Anyways, this disjointed journal should find it's end before it gets any further out of hand.
Take care everyone, and hopefully I'll have my thoughts better collected when I post next.

Katsucon Anybody?
General | Posted 14 years agoHeya everybody.
It's been a while since I've written anything concerning myself here, other than perhaps some half-hearted promises that I will eventually start writing again. On that front, I have actualy begun planning out a new story, but for now all the details on that story are going to remain a well-kept secret for various reasons.
More importantly for now, is that I'm going to Katsucon this weekend. Any anime fans out there going to be going? I know that most anime cons turn out at least a few fursuiters, and if I see furs, I assure you there will be pictures taken. and Shenannegins. You can't have fursuiters without shenannegins, what fun would that be? Anyways, if you plan on going to Katsucon, drop me a note here. I'll write something up post-con as well, and I might just have a new project in the works that will make my journals slightly less pointless. Stay Tuned!

SOPA is bad news, and Here's how to stop it!

Take the 15 min. to watch this video, and then spread this out to everybody you know. I know not a lot of people watch me, and even fewer take the time to see what I have to say in my occasional journal, but I hope you will all take the time to act on this before SOPA gets passed.

Post-MFM Con report
General | Posted 14 years agoWell, had an awesome time with everybody there.
Arrived thursday evening, riding along with
fennecboy, rested up to be ready for the con on friday.
Met a lot of people on friday. I mean, a LOT of people. met
paddlefoot as I was registering, met a guy by the name of bunniboi and helped him take his arms off (anyone know his FA?, helped a guy named Mr Wolf (I think it was, not sure) up in the lan room for a few min, met
stuntcoyote in the atrium with
fennecboy and another suiter whom I can't remember, and played with a ball for a good hour, met Crimsonred at the Furoticon table and brought him a meal (remember, dragons will always eat the tastiest thing around, so you're safe as long as there''s something that tases better nearby). ran around a lot, had a lot of fun with the fursuiters. finally ended up at the dance, gave some glowsticks to anybody I came across and then danced and danced until I stumbled upon
Rouka and Snowcat almost simulteneously (snow has no FA, I've asked her).
Well, the night passed by, I passed out on my bed, and morning came, bringing me in just in time for the fursuit parade. watched the suiters passing through the dealers room before meeting them out on the lawn for more shenanigans until I met up again with the Snowcat from friday night. at this point, me and her started running about together and became pretty well inseperable. It was saturday that we met
enic and got lots of hugs from him. Saturday was the day of the Furoticon tournament, where I lost spectacularly. Saturday was the day that we went to the japanese restaurant, had a lovely dinner with a couple of random families and maybe, just maybe, brought a new furry into the fandom when one of the other people eating got interested in the artwork and things he saw on the wikipedia entry. Saturday was a glorious day, and I wouldn't have traded it for anything.
and then it was sunday. sunday was such a fun time, but such a sad time as well. Everyone was aware that after sunday, the fun times were over and we all had to go home, but that just made us that much more energetic, so we could all get as much fun as possible out of the weekend. Running about, I got a last minuet commision in for
DMK. I could be seen all over the place confusing snowcat for a backpack, and I got to see all of the friends I made over the weekend and a last chance to make a few more. it was on sunday after the fursuit games, after all, that I threw a rubber duck across the room at
bucktowntiger. Played a wonderful game of Werewolf where I managed to survive the entire game and still lose (hooyah heretic), before saying my goodbyes to snowcat only to find that
fennecboy had one last thing to do at con. watched him running around in Flagstaff's fullsuit, which is owned by
electropaw.
All in all, I had a great time, made a lot of new friends, and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. I hope to see each and every person I met there again in the future, and I look forward to going to MFM again in the future.
Until then, though, all you anime fans in the Virginia area get ready, cause next up is Nekocon, over in Hampton, VA! I may be moving out on my own soon, so I may be able to offer crash space to people I know for Neko, but it's all up in the air right now. Keep an eye out, and I'll get a journal posted about it when I can.
Take care until then everyone!

One More Candle...
General | Posted 15 years agoAnd a trip around the sun. yep, for those of you who care, I've turned another year older today. sounds like as good of a time as any to renew my efforts on writing this story I keep neglecting. For those of you who have read or taken interest in the story, Thank you for reading. Starting this friday, I plan to add a new chapter approximately every two weeks until we reach the end of the line. Hope you enjoy what I've got thus far, and that you will enjoy new chapters to come starting on Friday.
Sincerely
Tristam
EDIT: forgot I'm on duty today. I'll have today's chapter typed and posted ASAP tomorrow. Following this, I intend to keep on or ahead of schedule. Thanks for understanding!
