I'm going onto my tenth month of being a full time artist. I was not prepared for the workload that that demanded but I'm doing my best to grow into it. At this time I've managed to overwhelm myself with commissions to pay bills and while I was going through an emotional low point failed to keep on top of them. I am back at it again though and have figured out who's I'm getting done each week this month.

As I hit the trail on the 5th I realized that I forgot to mention here that I was disappearing for a few days so that my best friend and I could go backpacking for the first time. It was fantastic. We didn't managed to make it to our end goal (we vastly overestimated ourselves) but we did manage to make it to a small village with awesome food and found out the town over has a B&B for hikers. I'm so happy I finally went backpacking and I look forward to doing more of it in the future! Hoping next time I'll get some more sketching in!

We have a few more trips planned for this summer though no dates picked. When we figure that out I'll let you guys know too. We wanna do a few day trips before we go on a week long trip in Sept.

First day back I spent most of it face first in bed and yesterday I was with family for my mother and I's birthdays. Now that I'm back all I want to do is draw and finish playing Secret of Mana 2.

I'll be sending out a few WIPs later today.

For the last few months I've been using Patreon as a place to upload and track my progress while finally being accountable for learning my craft. It's been a tough but enjoyable journey. Right now I've narrowed down 4 things that I want to be focusing on to make the most noticeable improvement, but out of the four there is one that can have me drawing more of your guys on a daily basis!

Gestures! Gesture Drawing is the study of the figure in motion and what I've been doing is 3 ten minute drawings that I upload each day. You guys are all different shapes and sizes and I'd love for a chance to sketch a bunch of you on guys everyday.

So for $5 of support a month, I get to sketch any of your characters regularly. There are a limited number of slots though to prevent me from one day being overwhelmed, so claim one early!

Once you pledge I'll message you asking for references. There is not a limit on characters you can provide for me. One thing though, these will not be sexually explicit sketches and the poses cannot be hand picked, but if I ever am feeling at a loss for what to sketch I'm more than down for suggestions.

Moving took up more time than I expected but I'm back. Other than my couch not fitting into the apartment and quickly hunting down a new one, it pretty much went without a hitch. ... And I was scammed for my furniture I was trying to sell. Not amused by that, still have the furniture, just out some money cause I'm a goof.

So monday my hand stopped a slamming door... My knuckles of my drawing hand have been swollen and I havent had much success holding onto a pencil for short periods of time. Its going down but there will be a sligg delay to my art.

Hey everyone, there's been a slight delays in my studies and art (ex, not always having daily studies or weekly illustration completed). I keep setting goals and I'm not always reaching them. And that bugs me because I do wish to create consistency with my uploads on FA and Patreon.


There are a few reasons:


1) My sleeping schedule is a bit of a mess and I have days where I end up choosing between work or being social. I think one day soon I'm gonna have to use meds to knock myself out at night, because currently I work and study at night when everyone else has free time and wants to be social. Juggling work and a social life while being a night owl isn't panning out well. Why do I stay up all night then? Cause I need alone time to be recharge and let the weirdness and creativity flow, and I have a roommate that doesn't work and stays at home all day. Also my SO has high anxiety and will sometimes need me instantly if she has an attack. If that happens I basically lose the rest of the day. I've tried having my computer in other areas of the house but it didn't work out for one reason or another.

2) I can't stress enough my need for alone time. Not being able to easily be isolated for even a few hours so I can draw, write or even game is draining. In May this won't be a problem for my buddy has a full time job and a social life that keeps him out of the house, but up until this point it has been my biggest cause for stress. If I can't get those hours alone on a regular basis, I just shut down and sleep and won't leave my room for half a day. (My weird coping method I've had since I was a teen that I should probably do something about) On a normal day I might get an hour to myself.

3) I've begun sorting and purging through all of my belongings and I just want to get it done. If I can have a dozen or less boxes on moving day that would be great. Other than my bed and desk, I only want to bring my books, games and clothes. Getting rid of a lot of useless crap that's just been sitting in boxes or the basement collecting dust.

Other than those I've developing vision issues over the last few years and only recently can I say it's been affecting my art. I can't do life drawing cause I can't properly see the models and when it comes to drawing people from life, unless I'm close I can only do gestures with confidence, but that's an issue I'll tackle after the move when all the issues above have been dealt with.

I don't normally like to rant online, but I felt like this was something I've been needing to get off my chest for a bit. I just want to be able to draw and upload regularly. Maybe all that I wish to accomplish is too much, but I won't accept that until I can create a more productive work environment for myself.

Hello you beautiful people,

I haven’t had much time for art for the last week as my best friend Adam and I were looking for an apartment together. It’s something we’ve long discussed and we’re both excited to finally see it happening, one reason for me being lowered expenses. Not having to pull in as much each month means more time to dedicate to my artistic development. We have already found a place which is great and I am now in the process of purging some of my belongs. I hope to be able to maintain a steady workflow over the next few weeks to get the funds I need for the move.

Also I discovered that I’m covered for my bilateral mastectomy surgery! I have a consultation appointment next month and I’m pretty sure the only thing I have to cover are my monthly expenses while I recover. I’m so freaking happy about this since up until this point I thought I would have to save seven to ten thousand dollars to get that done!

Later this month I’ll make a Patreon and InkedFur Update, but there are still some things I need to get done for each of those first. So that’s it for now, I’m gonna go do an anatomy study before diving into more commission work.
