It's taken a few days to collect our thoughts on the loss of our community head, Dragoneer.

The loss of a person is a complex process. We have known Dragoneer personally since joining the IRC channel on FurNet well over 15 years ago and being an operator on the IRC staff. Dragoneer allowing us to start advertising on FA offering commissions back in 2009 aided in creating the career we have today. There are no words to properly express how great a loss it is to the community he put his heart into keeping alive and well. Or how grateful we are that he put these efforts into allowing artists like ourselves and thousands of others to make their living doing what they love. To allow the users who come together with the appreciation of the art and expression of the furry community to have such a wonderful place to gather for so many amazing years.

Rest in peace, Dragoneer. Thank you for all you've done for us and the furry community.

Not much has been posted yet, but it's the start of spooky season. So just. Expect a lot of dhampirs. A lot of them. Like one for every day of the month. Probably the same one. Every day. Gotta be consistent.

It is likely a surprise to no one, but we'll let everyone know here anyway:

From today forward, we will no longer be posting our artwork to Twitter or using our Twitter account. Since Twitter has changed hands, it's gotten far too musky and unpleasant to be there or desire in showcasing our artwork on a platform that's gaining the reputation of being an all out dumpster fire.

For anyone who's watched the account and enjoyed having the art posts there, we've appreciated the support and your following us along. It's been great, but it's definitely time to close that chapter and find somewhere new to share our work.

With all the different sites and their coding, the things they required for making tags and format has been difficult to keep up with. This year has been a rough road and history has proven-- This trend will continue.

The outcry heard all over the world is one which has never carried such a booming voice. A voice that for far too long has been forced into silence over and over in the past. Beaten, bruised, broken and brutalized.

Do not be afraid to be part of that voice.

We want our clients and watchers to know that even though we generally do not write journals pertaining to our political views or where we stand on human rights issues-- We are with you-- Black Lives Matter.

It has taken considerable time to find the words to put into this post. Working on commissions, but watching the events unfold which lead to the protests in Minneapolis. To the countless videos posted. To our Twitter feed being almost entirely about the movement-- posting the art without letting our clients, watchers, and followers know where we stand-- became hollow. Reaching out to close friends and people effected the most by this movement on a personal level has simply not been enough. We felt that it was important to show our stance in the community. Imperative for it to be known before we could continue supplying our art to the masses.

For everyone attending the protests. For braving the risk of your health and safety to improve the lives of others-- This is monumental. It is amazing. Without stepping up, stepping out and demanding the change, the voice would continue to fall on deaf ears.

Stay safe and keep moving forward.

So! It's been a while. We sadly missed attending BLFC this year and have been slowly revamping some things, trying out new social media outlets and places to post art. We'll still be posting here on FA-- it is-- after all! The original home of where our career started.

However, there are new (or not new, but new to us) alternatives for posting some people might fancy more than others. Our FA is largely used for final, completed pieces. But if you want to see parts of the process, this is where the new accounts come in!

Recently we've decided to create an Instagram account, which will feature things similar to the Twitter account: WIP shots here and there, personal project ideas, daily sketches, commission progress shots and other odds and ends.
