Do you DARE to see the NEFARIOUS output of NOT TUBE?!
General | Posted 16 years agoSo my vile nemesis, Not Tube, has actually gotten permission from SofaWolf to publish his little story "Moonthief" online somehow. Don't ask me. I guess they figured they couldn't make money off of that bit of tripe, but HE seems to think he can somehow be nominated for an Ursa Major, and he's angling for it like the transparent little attention whore he is.
Anyhow, if you want to see this story -- just to see how freaking BAD it is, of course -- you can head over to his FA account at www.furaffinity.net/user/nottube/ and give it a read. I only mention because I'm complete convinced that none of you would ever be motivated by THAT story to buy a copy of the otherwise excellent anthology from Sofawolf (http://www.sofawolf.com/catalog/pro.....roducts_id=100)
Nor would you ever in a million years nominate his story for an Ursa Major at http://www.ursamajorawards.org/nominations.htm !
That's right. I have confidence in you guys and your very excellent taste. But if you wanted to leave a nasty comment or two on his story, that would be okay.
Cuz he's a giant jerk.

OMG no do not read
General | Posted 16 years agoYou guys seriously if you are finding me on FA for any reason other than searching for 'muscle' here do not read what I post here! You will be super-disappointed!
Seriously it is... uh... specifically... tailored. Don't read it. Read Not Tube's stuff -- he's much "better."
Or he would be, if he posted anything ever, the lazy little fuckwad.

My arch-enemy, NOT TUBE
General | Posted 16 years agoSo that fiendish writerly otter Not Tube has gone and got himself an FA account. He's over there blogging now about some stupid novel/novella thing he's been working on.
And you all can stuff it: I've heard the rumors, and I can assure you right now that I do NOT hate Not Tube just because he's better than me at the writing thing. Seriously. He sucks.
You can check him out at his FA account at http://www.furaffinity.net/user/nottube/ if you want proof for yourself. He doesn't have any stories online there, but he claims there will be stuff posted there later this year, so I dunno.

Contraindications to end...?
General | Posted 16 years agoI've been mulling over the story arc, and I think there are only three more chapters left. Planning on going out with a... bang... though.
X!
General | Posted 16 years agoSo some of you may have heard of a new anthology coming out called X. It's got all these adult stories (10 of them, to be exact) based around the ten commandments and the breaking of them. I dunno, it sounds pretty hot, and plus it has lots of awesome writers in it. People like
kmhirosaki,
poetigress, and
kyell, who edited the whole thing and pulled all the writers together. I'm definitely gonna be getting a copy when it comes out at AC (well, actually afterward since I won't be at AC).
But I did want to mention that one of the awesome stories in there -- I think it's the Thou Shalt Not Steal one -- is mistakenly being attributed to me by some people. That story was actually written by Not Tube. As you can tell by the guy's name, this is a totally different person. Not me. He's actually a really good writer. You should check out his story. But I didn't write it. Not Tube did.
Different guy.
Thanks.
EDIT: Oh yeah! And his story has an illustration by
dnapalmhead, who is all flavors of awesometastic.

General | Posted 16 years agoWriting porn --at least non-generic porn-- takes an odd amount of courage. It's like standing naked in public, except it's the crazy little workings of your id that you're exposing. If there's anything that makes you vulnerable to other people, it's them finding out what sort of weirdo things get you off.
Porn gets a bad rap, and maybe rightly so, a lot of the time... but it's strangely personal at the same time. Look in my head. Here are the ways I'm broken. Discuss.

Contraindications
General | Posted 16 years agoNew chapter coming this week
You can't stop the beat
General | Posted 17 years agoCross-posting here from LJ:
So this morning, I was awoken by a dream that Bennie had passed me election results showing that Prop 8 had passed... by the exact margins that it turned out to have when I got up to look.
It is tempting, I suppose, to feel bitter and angry about this, to sulk and rail against those who passed it, but really, there's no reason to.
Yes, Prop 8 passed. Yes, the forces of hatred and intolerance scored a victory, but believe me when I tell you that they are not celebrating this morning. They needed a resounding declaration, a mandate (ha!) against gay marriage, and they did not get it. The prop looks to pass by a measure of 52-48%, a far cry from the 61-38% that the last, similar measure passed by back in 2000. Give it five more years, put this back on the ballot, and it will be overturned. The prop 8 supporters know it, and we know it. The tide of love and tolerance cannot be stopped. And what's worse, these religious institutions that led the fight against prop 8 have fatally compromised themselves to do so. To pass the proposition, they had to sell their souls to the devil. They had to lie, cheat, and steal to get here. They had to trick people into thinking that the proposition was about government control of schools and the dismantling of religious freedom around the state before they could get it to pass.
Listen to what I am saying: they won nothing. All they did was briefly, temporarily revert California to the state it was in at the beginning of the year. But they are standing there with their thumb in the dike (Ha!) and new leaks are springing all around them.
To any of my friends who are feeling sick or sorry over Jakebe and my wedding, don't. We're still married. There are wedding rings on our fingers. We still stood up there in front of all of you and said what we said, and committed ourselves to each other, and we are just as devoted as ever before. And if the state of California chooses (for now) not to recognize that marriage, it doesn't mean we're not married; it just means that they're blind.
We woke up in a new America this morning, one in which its dream was finally realized for millions who believed it never would, one in which the spiteful and ignorant find themselves disoriented, cast adrift. We are going to have a real leader for a President again, a man who, from every perspective, promises to be intelligent, capable, and wise. We wake up this morning in the America we remember of old, in which we can be respected on the global stage, in which we can play some role other than the bully and the braggart. How can this be anything other than inspiring? How can we not see this as a message that anything is possible, that any obstacle, no matter how insurmountable it seems, can be overcome?
Did any of you think that if Proposition 8 did not pass, that the fight would be over? Of course it would not. The fight would have continued then, and it will continue now. This may be a setback, but really, it's just a single slap. I do not intend to cringe and sulk in the corner. I do not intend even for one tiniest second, to let the forces of intolerance think they have won even a battle. They haven't. They want to rest now. They want to think that this is it, that they can go back home and sleep because they've stopped something they hate and are afraid of. They haven't. We're not down. We're not wounded. We're not battered or bleeding. We're in love.
Cause you can't stop the
Motion of the ocean
Or the rain from above.
You can try to stop the paradise
We're dreaming of,
But you cannot stop the rhythm
Of two hearts in love to stay...
And you can't stop the beat.

Regrets about the story
General | Posted 18 years agoTrying to work on part 5 of Matt's Little Problem.
Two big regrets: one is that I sort of don't care for the way the fourth chapter went. I feel like Matt's mental changes went too far and took away some of the inherent hotness in the story. Things are progressing a little too fast. My only defense is that I was REALLY worked up when I wrote it.
The second is the title. If I had to do it over again, I'd rename this story "Contraindications." For those not in the know, contraindications are conditions in which drugs or other medical procedures should not be undertaken -- most commonly used to specify which drugs should not be taken with other drugs because of interactions between the two medicines. You can see how it fits. I think it's a better title than the banal "Matt's Little Problem." Oh well, live and learn.
I have an idea for another story I'd like to do, too, something a little more self-contained but ripe for sequels. Maybe I'll try to put up something with that over the holidays.

Pending further story entries
General | Posted 18 years agoTo those of you who are still awaiting further entries in my story, don't give up hope.
The story's stalled because I'm working on another story project (one that you won't see posted here, most likely), and that story is giving me a few roadblocks.
I have not lost interest in Matt's Little Problem (snrk!) and fully intend to continue it. I've committed myself to an hour of writing a night on every night I do not have other engagements, so I should finish my main project soon and be able to post other parts for you guys shortly.
I'm really glad you guys like my story and want to see more -- it means a lot, honestly.
