Going To Be Busy
Posted 12 years agoJust a heads-up that I'm going to be on my teaching professional practice for the next three weeks, so if anyone wants to get in contact with me then they should probably send me a note - I'm not likely to be up late or early enough to catch anyone beyond my timezone via AIM or Steam.
Additionally, if I don't come on Steam for a day or so, then I've probably been devoured by children or crushed under a pile of test papers. If that happens, tell my waifu (whoever the hell that is)... hello.

Slamming With The Best Of Them
Posted 13 years agoDue to the release of Sonic Adventure 2; the game that defined my childhood; on Steam; I think it is only courteous that I warn everyone who has any interest whatsoever in contacting me that for the next week or so I have ceased to exist in the present timezone; and have instead packed up my guitar and laptop and travelled back in time to the 90s.
If anyone does witness any proof of my existence during this timeframe then it's likely that you are just hallucinating; or have somehow established a connection across a wormhole. Expect some increased amounts of 'jamming' during any potential conversations with me; and perhaps a slight chance of 'cranking' some 'radical beats'; assuming that the subject matter at hand is not already 'way past cool'.
I also offer my sincerest apologies to anyone who happened to fall prey to my inevitable tsunami of hyping about Sonic as well; as I know that it is generally not an enjoyable experience for parties besides myself. I do however expect that anyone else who becomes involved can respect that I 'gotta go fast' and make some attempt to 'c'mon, step it up'. Doing so will make the entire process far swifter and less painful for all involved.
YES I KNOW SONIC ADVENTURE 2 WAS RELEASED IN 2002 NOT THE 90S BUT IT STILL COUNTS

PMD Roleplaying Group
Posted 13 years agoJust a head's up that there's been an RP setting that
sanodi
thronezwei and myself have been working on; and that's it's just being launched here:
pmd-awakeningoftheancients
There probably won't be a whole lot of stuff up for the moment; but we've got a lot of stuff done already and will be posting it up soon enough. And no, it's not just another PCA thingy; it deals with an older age group and has a bit of a plot; although it's not too over-the-top for the setting or anything.

I Will Be At A Place Until A Time
Posted 14 years agoFor those who don't know and care (a precious few), I am heading off to Singapore for about five days; starting tomorrow (the 27th of November) and getting back to Australia at about the 5th or 6th of December. So yeah. See you later, interwebs. You will be missed.
PCA TV Trope Meme Part 3.5: Melanie And Arthur
Posted 14 years agoAs always, all you gotta do is find character-related tropes which are relevent to your characters, and justify/explain why they work with your characters. TV Tropes is right here: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.p...../Main/HomePage and I'd recommend people do it, it's fun, gives readers more insight into your characters, and you might learn that your characters are more stereotypical than you think. I sure did.
Figured that since I've been using and developing the pair so much that they probably deserve to be next up; but since they're not in a proper group of four they're only half a part of the meme that I've done so far. But dear god they have a lot of tropes. Honestly, I've become rather concerned as to whether Arthur is cliche or not thanks to all his ones.
Melanie:
Tiny Guy Huge Girl: Her relationship with Arthur is exactly this. She’s almost double his size!
Pink Boy Blue Girl: Melanie wears the pants in her relationship (or lack thereof) with her little manservant. It’s pretty obvious on looks alone.
Like Brother And Sister: Melanie’s demands of her Minun ‘partner’ and Arthur’s respect for his comrade, along with their size difference would probably make most assume the pair were related like this; Arthur as a little brother to Melanie. But they aren’t. And Arthur’s older than Melanie; albeit barely.
Pettanko: Melanie is flat-chested, a point she is rather frustrated by.
A-Cup Angst: ... especially thanks to the fact that both of her female teammates (and dormmates) in Team Roadbusters are rather buxom in comparison.
Beserk Button: Melanie’s rather masculine appearance; especially when she’s compared to other girls. She has it worse than Alicia, and is rather paranoid regarding peoples’ thoughts on her appearance; usually outputting her frustrations over the fact on Arthur by getting mad at him for so much as talking with other girls.
Tomboy: She’s no Ladette like Alicia; whilst Melanie is sporty, somewhat blunt and has rather masculine hobbies she isn’t interested in drinking or being a bloke. She’d much rather just laze about for the day, getting pampered, rather than go out and get drunk or swear all the time, unlike the aforementioned Arcanine.
Ojou: Type 2. Melanie was brought up in luxury and being surrounded by servants. She isn’t going to give up her belief in her superiority just yet.
Tsundere: Type A. She’s generally pretty harsh on everyone and has a pretty fiery temper, is actually fairly nice once she gets used to things. Arthur seems to believe she’s sweeter for the most part though; despite her obvious abuse of the little boy.
Creature of Habit: She loves her luxurious life as it is, and wouldn’t give it up for anything, despite how boring many would find it.
Inferiority Superiority Complex: Melanie sees herself higher than most thanks to her childhood in a luxurious and upper-class society. She has quite a bit of trouble dealing with other people in the PCA; unable to deal with the fact they are on equal standing as her. She keeps her self-esteem by putting down others, particularly Arthur, thanks to his lower class upbringing.
Not A Morning Person: Not without a long, warm bath, a backrub, a satisfying breakfast, all her work being done, a clean set of clothes, all her books packed and ready, and her timetable properly set out.
Jerkass With A Heart of Gold: Whilst Melanie is generally a bit of a snarker and makes her belief in her superiority known to everyone she meets she really isn’t as mean as she seems; generally put on such a selfish persona in order to try and fit in with teenage society in her new culture.
Cool Cat: Well, she definitely thinks so.
Cats Are Snarky: Given her clueless sidekick Melanie is given a lot of fuel for her sarcasm and general snarkiness; and gets along quite well with anyone who can manage to keep up with her wit.
Cats Are Superior: Thanks mostly to her childhood Melanie thinks herself to be the world; or at least says that she does. Arthur certainly agrees, but he seems to be the only one.
Mistress And Servant Boy: Her relationship with Arthur, obviously. Albeit without the teasing. And most of the care, too.
Does Not Like Men: Melanie has had generally bad experiences with males; albeit only minor ones; and has a general dislike of most masculine traits as a whole (rather ironic given her somewhat tomboyish attitude). This is probably the main factor behind what made her become a lesbian, really; rather than any strong sexual attraction.
Arthur:
Tiny Guy Huge Girl: As noted already, this is pretty much Arthur’s relationship with his boss. And pretty much every other girl he knows, given his size. Especially notable with his crush on Ruka; seeing as she’s about three times his weight as well as being far taller.
Shrinking Violet: Arthur is very, very shy. Even more so than Zeke.
Guilt Complex: As one would expect from someone brought up as a servant, who is part of a family of servants who have been servants for generations… and generally to people twice their size and strength too, no less.
Extreme Doormat: Arthur would never complain about his position, and definitely not about other people.
Battle Butler: Arthur is generally a relatively subpar fighter, taking a highly supportive role thanks to his personality; and is only really in anyway effective when he’s supporting Melanie. However, if anyone tarnishes Melanie’s life (in a dramatic way, not just a typical irritation, and only if there’s no proper reason for it), he will gladly fight to the death on her part. And when he’s in a mood like that, he’s quite the foe thanks to his strong and precise usage of Thunderbolt. But in general he’s far more proficient with weapons than he is with his moves; as he’s been taught plenty about being a bodyguard as part of his training as a servant; despite most peoples’ assumptions thanks to his timidness and weak physical state.
The So-Called Coward: Arthur is quick to flee from bad situations, particularly when he considers himself to be alone; but if it comes to protecting someone else directly or indirectly he isn’t afraid to face any odds.
Submissive Badass: As said before, Arthur is very willing to fight to the death simply to uphold Melanie’s lifestyle, and is quite the opponent with his spears of lightning. He’d never show these skills in typical fights though; appearances are very important to him. After all, what sort of servant would go about boasting about; let alone showing his superiority?
Cute Shotaro Boy: He’s pretty much this for the most part, especially appearance wise.
Undying Loyalty: To Melanie, and anyone who she’s told him to serve whom he gets along with. He’s only slightly less loyal to those he doesn’t get along with yet has been ordered to serve, though. Unfortunately this loyalty also leads to him believe everything the people he looks up to; which pretty much makes him utterly closed-minded at the best of times.
Happiness In Slavery: Naturally, since he was brought up in a culture based around the fact; although it was really just thanks to the fact that the lower class had simply gotten used to being the serving class; rather than having any actual satisfaction in the process. Arthur enjoys serving people though; though he can be fairly unimpressed if anyone apart from Melanie mistreats him in the process. He doesn’t mind not being appreciated, though.
Yes Man: To everyone, as per his duties as a servant. He tends to be a bit less of the type to compliment his master/s constantly, but consistently recognizes his inability to reach the expectations of them. Well, at least he thinks he’s not worthy. And unlike many ‘Yes-Men’ he’s actually honest about his compliments for the most part; thanks to how easy it is to impress him.
Hypercompetent Sidekick: In comparison to Melanie in most people’s eyes, at least. Arthur’s far better with household chores, basic tasks, and simply dealing with people than her, but pales in comparison when it comes to fighting or understanding (let alone actually knowing) Western culture.
Sharp Dressed Man: What kind of butler/servant/wannabe bodyguard/adorable midget would he be without a suit?
The Dulcinea Effect: Subverted. Arthur’s always straight on the case when it comes to serving female ‘superiors’ (i.e. everyone) but seems somewhat less enthused about aiding men in comparison. However, this is more due to having been around Melanie with her slight sexist attitude for so long; so it would make sense that it would be passed onto the boy who admires her so.
Stoic Woobie: Well, not really. He is pretty much abused by Melanie and screwed over by his society; but he never angsts about it; thanks to how he was brought up to think; rather than any full attempt to hide his emotions regarding how Melanie and her race treat him.
Precocious Crush: Although Arthur’s age isn’t technically far from hers, Arthur’s crush on Ruka is a pretty clear case of this, thanks to his naivety, appearance, and, y’know; the existence of Dante. Though in his defence he really is head-over-heels for the girl; even if she doesn’t quite realize it.
Cutesy Dwarf: He’s pretty much a midget for a sixteen year-old. But given that his folk were pretty much bred to be servants it’s probably just an effect of adaptation to the role. Or I’m just making up nonsense handwaves to have more short adorable boys. Meh.
Legal Jailbait: He’s cute, naïve, short, is highly police and subservient, likes his suits, and is often simple-minded… and he’s sixteen.
Older Than They Look: See above.
Ride The Lightning: Arthur can turn into a bolt of lightning as needed; although he tends to avoid using the ability; firstly because of how potentially dangerous the transformation could be to him (Melanie can be a bit trigger happy with her lightning; and with Arthur’s electric form in her stores…) and because it’s logically fairly uncomfortable to be in such a metaphysical state. It doesn’t help with transportation as much as one might think, too; what with the way most wires branch off or actively use electricity at some point in their paths.
Knife Nut: As mentioned earlier Arthur is quite well trained in lethal self-defence; logically preferring knives since they can be excused by their domestic uses; along with their easy-to-conceal nature. And Melanie is all too happy to let him cart them around on the inside of the front of his jacket; ignorant to the boy’s somewhat… unstable nature.
Chubby Chaser: An unsurprisingly subtle quirk in the Minun’s nature; and one that only really Melanie knows of but definitely doesn’t approve of. His crush on Ruka isn’t solely thanks to her personality, despite how it might often appear.
Incorruptible Pure Pureness: More because he’s oblivious to darker options or temptations than he’s particularly idealistic. Lacking in education and experiences has it’s ‘advantages’.
Pose of Supplication: Well, duh. He’s utterly submissive, a slave, and a wimp. It’s pretty much inevitable that he goes into the position on occasion; regardless of the severity of the crime he demands himself to atone for.
Casual Kink: Melanie has quickly learnt not to go to him for fashion advice, since the answer is always the same; at least when a woman is involved: wear a suit. Of course, he doesn’t have a clue as to the true nature of his interest in suited-up girls…. yet.
Peek-A-Bangs: As a symbol of his shyness and emotional vulnerability, I guess? It just seemed cute at the time in my mind…
Curtains Match The Window: Again, more coincidental than anything; but then again pretty much everything about Arthur is blue anyway. Sort of inevitable given his species, I guess.
Fantastic Arousal: Arthur’s ears are… sensitive. Very sensitive. Not quite actual arousal, though; since he’s a bit too mentally and emotionally naïve; but enough if rubbed give him enough pleasure to essentially paralyze him. Though this is sort of justified; since it was bred into his kind as a sort of emergency brake; a way to essentially paralyze a rebellious or foolish slave immediately. And such sensitivity works both ways; too; yanking on his ears is conversely incredibly painful for him.
Innocent Inaccurate: Arthur is fairly smart and understanding when it comes to most things, despite his rather backwards origins and thinking; but is technically somewhat psychopathic as he can’t quite understand death; despite reacting fairly conventionally to other kinds of suffering; apart from his own, of course.

Laptop's Dead (Again)
Posted 14 years agoUgh, talk about a good day. Get drenched with rain, fail a test and have my laptop die completely just as I buy a new game; and on the weekend no less so I'll have missed one of my few chances to stay up late enough to chat to anyone overseas. Anyhow, that doesn't matter to anyone reading this (if there is anyone), so I'll just get to the point rather than whining the whole time.
Basically, my laptop's dead, so just wanna give a heads-up to anyone who cares that I will probably not be about the PCA IRC or on FA or whatever else much until it's fixed, which will probably take at least a fortnight; I'll have to confirm the date at some point, and even then I'm not really sure if it'll be fixable at all. Hopefully I'll be able to use one of my other family members' laptops to make up for it in the meantime, but no promises as to when I'll be able to be online.

PCA TV Tropes Meme Part 3: Team Throne And Independants 1
Posted 14 years agoAs always, all you gotta do is find character-related tropes which are relevent to your characters, and justify/explain why they work with your characters. I sure did.
And here's my last team. Now I've got to work through the bunch of Independants I've got. Yipee.
Janice:
Ethical Slut: Janice is very sexually minded, but she’s just in it because she thinks it’s the best way to make people happier. Yeah; her childhood left her a little misguided.
Ms Fanservice: Well, she is a model, and proud of it. But she's sort of a parody of the idea, as most wouldn't dare touch her in fear of her long long list of rather forceful kinks.
Nightmare Fetishist: Why do you think she’s dating Andre?
Too Kinky To Torture: Considering her range of ‘interests’…
Safe, Sane and Consensual: Why (and how) Andre ends up on that lead all the time.
Crouching Moron Hidden Badass: Janice tends to be quite the ditz most of the time, and doesn’t seem to care much for anything academic, let alone interested in fighting. However, she’s the strongest of all my characters, using her instincts and experience to make up for her lack of training.
Bare Your Midriff: Whenever she gets the chance.
Casual Kink: She talks about all her… interests… in casual conversation. She doesn’t have any inhibitions about discussing anything sexual, let alone anything at all.
The Glomp: Janice tends to be a bit overaffectionate, and she loves hugs. She yearns for physical intimacy constantly, much to her friends’ chagrin.
Good Bad Girl: She… gets around; but is also by far the nicest character of mine. She just figures that boys like being flirted with (and some girls too), and it’s fun for her too, so hey; win-win situation.
For Happiness: Everything she does.
Boobs of Steel: Again, she is a model. But she can kick ass when she needs to, too. It’s how she keeps so slim, after all.
Berserk Button: Don’t call her a ‘freak’. She had some issues with her parents over her… interests, to say the least.
Anything That Moves: And she seems proud of it.
The Tease: To anyone who is flustered by her initial attempts. She loves shy boys because of this.
Hollywood Pudgy: Janice has recently become a plus-size model, having been replaced in her original modeling job. She is horribly ashamed of the fact, and Eyrie is a bit too happy to spread it around…
No Sense Of Personal Space: Much to the chagrin of many she meets. Or enjoyment, depending on the person.
Obfuscating Stupidity: She tends to seem like this with her fashion knowledge and all, but cross her and you’re dead.
Femme Fatalons: Well, she uses them to fight, so she’s got to keep her claws neat. Being a model is a factor in it too, obviously.
Combat Sadomasochist: They are in her endless list of kinks, so duh.
Yin:
Roaring Rampage of Revenge: Since he lost his wings he’s never forgiven the Dragon Tamers, despite it partially being his fault.
Well Intentioned Extremist: From his personal experiences Yin does not like the Dragon Tamers, thinking that they’re all evil cultists, and beliefs that in order to protect the world he will have to wipe them out on his own.
Determinator: He’s quite confident that he can wipe out a full religion of trained warriors. Alone.
Can Not Spit It Out: Yin has quite the crush on Mitzy, of all people; but cannot spit it out.
Freudian Slippery Slope: One would have thought he’d gotten over it with Janice around him all the time. Or maybe she made it worse?
Axe Crazy: When Yin sees blood, he makes sure you know about it. Besides; he’s got blades for arms! How could he not be like this at times?!
Good Is Not Nice: This tends to show up often in my characters; as does it’s opposite.
Blood Lust: After that fateful encounter in his youth, the image of blood has become indented on his brain.
Licking the Blade: Since it reminds him of the blood that he got on his blade during the fight with his mentor in his youth. Unfortunately for him, it isn’t his enemy’s blood that he remembers tasting on his blade…
Andre:
The Medic: He is a medical genius, after all.
The Stoic: Probably more so than even Corrine, even whilst being blatantly hit on by Janice. Or whilst on a lead. One must wonder about how he got such a high tolerance, though.
Nightmare Fetishist: He likes dissection a bit too much… not to mention those syringes…
Torture Technician: Only if asked, thankfully; he doesn’t really find it interesting. He prefers to stick to medication.
Playing with Syringes: As mentioned before with Nightmare Fetishist.
The Quiet One: He rarely talks unless he’s going to correct someone about some meaningless fact.
Loners Are Freaks: Assumed by many; but in truth Andre is fairly social. He just doesn’t talk.
Dandere: According to Janice, apparently. She’s not really the most reliable person though.
Nietzsche Wannabe: Thankfully Andre is quiet about this fact; but it’s still in him somewhere.
Tano:
Apathy Killed The Cat: Tano just isn’t interested.
Big Brother Instinct: Not an obvious trait considering the boy’s usual apathetic behavior, but he does have a soft spot for the younger students.
Dance Fighter: Tano’s love of b-boying covers all parts of his life; including battling.
Knight In Sour Armour: Strangely enough; Tano believes that free expression and originality is truly a dying art; a believe born of the scorn he gained from some for his beloved practice of breakdance. He doesn’t voice it too much but it always comes into play when his temper is riled; whether it is related to the incident or not.
Sarabi:
Wrench Wench: She’s a technical genius and female; but is definitely not friendly.
Broken Bird: Very much so. She hates her body, and thinks very little of anyone, let alone herself.
Don’t You Dare Pity Me: She hates being pitied for her hatred of herself, believing her determination to drive herself to keep to these goals is a strong point of hers.
Leave Me Alone: She doesn’t let anyone help her in her problems. Ever. Except possibly Corrine, though she insists that their relationship is strictly business.
Hidden Buxom: Sarabi is not proud of her looks; let alone her chest.
All Men Are Perverts: One of Sarabi’s chief beliefs.
Tsundere: Type A. She has yet to show any sweetness to anyone in the PCA yet, so don’t get your hopes up. If you want her to act at least neutrally to you you’re going to have to be doing a lot to get her favour.
The Cynic: Whoa, boy. She’s far worse than even Eyrie when it comes to her opinions on sexism, and pretty much hates everyone due to her initial and almost unchanging judgments of their character.
Mr Fixit: Sarabi is an incredible engineer given the resources; particularly skilled with vehicles and firearms due to her background. This along with the resources Corrine is more than happy to supply her with makes for some impressive inventions and replications.
Reed Richards Is Useless: Purposefully avoided with justification. Sure, Sarabi will manage to eventually make some sort of sentry gun or something in my stories and roleplays but none of her products are really suitable for mass production or are overly efficient; she’s only a teen after all. Usually they’re one-use only; Sarabi is not good at building things to last.
Homemade Inventions: Logically; Corrine might supply her with most of the rarer parts but in the end Sarabi is far more skilled with scrap metal and simplistic ‘cobbled together’ resources. Her inventions usually work though; and there’s no arguing with that.
Mitzy:
The Chick: All the way.
The Glomp: To everyone she meets; regardless of size, gender, species, whatever.
Fat Girl: She doesn’t seem to care, though.
Cuddle Bug: Mitzy loves snuggling up to people, as proven by her tendency to glomp everyone on sight.
Girls Love Stuffed Animals: Well, she has to hug something when no one’s around.
No Sense Of Personal Space: All the time, to everyone she meets.
Strawberry Shorthand: Mitzy’s favourite food; rather fitting considering her personality.
The Ditz: She’s quite absent-minded and not the smartest around; but she does have some moments of genius now and then; much to the astonishment of her teammates.
The Klutz: Mitzy isn’t too bad in this respect, but still causes trouble around the place.
Cute Clumsy Girl: In Yin’s opinion, at the least.

PCA TV Tropes Meme Part 2: Team... Zeke?
Posted 15 years agoAs always, all you gotta do is find character-related tropes which are relevent to your characters, and justify/explain why they work with your characters. TV Tropes is right here: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.p...../Main/HomePage and I'd recommend people do it, it's fun, gives readers more insight into your characters, and you might learn that your characters are more stereotypical than you think. I sure did.
Enough copy and pasting; here's the rundown on the stereotypes, cliches and tropes that Zeke and his teammates follow.
Zeke:
Cowardly Lion: Zeke is always sweating over failing in fights and is generally classed by his teammates and foes as a terrible fighter and a coward, these facts only being further justified by the boy’s nervous nature. The truth is that he’s not as bad a fighter as he classes himself, but he’s still no great fighter either.
Hot Mom: And Vivian knows it.
Tranquil Fury: His mom has been teaching him that he shouldn’t be so submissive when he’s in trouble, and thus he now tends to be a bit more likely to fight back. And when he does, he does not feel the need to be loud about it.
Shrinking Violet: Zeke is very shy; a rather blunt comparison with his loud brother Twitch. His submissive attitude doesn’t help either.
Knight Templar: Zeke’s almost medieval ethics tend to be a bit corrupt at times; causing quite a bit of surprise when people see how cruel the boy can actually be.
Elephant’s Child: A little less curious than the trope would imply, but still likely to ask questions if allowed. Most of the time he’s too terrified of being hit by his brother for saying anything ‘stupid’.
Big Brother Worship: Zeke really does look up to his brother, but doesn’t always take his advice to heart. Thankfully.
Apologize A Lot: If you’re his friend, at least.
Twitch:
Rollerblade Good: Whenever, wherever.
Fragile Speedster: Very fast on his feet, even without his rollerblades; Twitch is definitely the fastest of Isabella’s team. He’s not as fragile as one would think either; all that training with his rollerblades must have ended with some accidents, so he must he relatively tough.
Big Brother Mentor: To his little brother Zeke. Whilst only separated by one year the two have very different personalities, with Twitch taking the lead due to his.
Big Brother Bully: Rarely; but Zeke’s whininess and his tendency to embarrass his brother leads Twitch to be a little quick-tempered towards him.
Corrine:
Villain Protagonist: Depends on your interpretation, really.
Real Men Wear Pink: He tends to wear pink and violet clothing, due to his species’ fur colour. He’s straight, though. Of course, Valence still thinks he’s gay.
Badass Bookworm: Corrine is smarter than he is strong, but that just seems to make him seem even stronger. He’s not physically strong of course, instead relying on his psychic powers to make up for his incredibly fragile body, and using his mind and planning skills to make upfor any shortcomings in his psychic strength too.
Child Prodigy: No, he’s not another one of those ‘is amazing just because’; he’s only as smart as he is because he was pretty much forced to study constantly by his parents during his childhood.
The Woobie: Sort of. On one hand he’s a meglomanic sociopath and on the other he’s an emotionally unstable pink kitten.
Antihero: So much so.
Well Intentioned Extremist: He wants to make a utopia. By taking over the world. Real original…
Perpetual Frowner: He’s just never happy. But since he’s been spending time with Karah this could be averted in the future.
The Stoic: His parents taught him to keep emotions out of his life, but he’s beginning to recover.
Technobabble: Corrine is not good at explaining things.
Egopolis: It’s probably only a utopia in Corrine’s mind…
Chessmaster: Whoa boy. And he’s not bad at manipulating emotions and such too. Well, so he thinks.
Friendless Background: He doesn’t have time for friends; damn it. Except maybe Karah…
Hidden Heart of Gold: Corrine cares a lot for… alright, just Karah, but he does have a hidden heart of gold, as suggested by his dreams of a utopia. Finding it is an insane challenge in itself, plus the fact that Corrine reveals in a slightly more… aggressive way. Threatening her boyfriend with death, for example.
Hidden Depths: Corrine seems pretty stoic… but get him going on his emotions and he will not stop.
Good Is Not Nice: This tends to show up often in my characters; as does it’s opposite. Corrine just happens to be a bit of an epitome of the trope; as he’s cruel and manipulative but often has society’s best interests at mind.
Karah:
Breath Weapon: Water and air; since she’s a Lugia.
The Ditz: While she’s usually smart and serious, she tends to be a ditz at times. Especially around her boyfriend.
Fat Girl: Thanks to her species and height having a high weight was pretty much unavoidable. She’s highly sensitive about the fact, too, and Isabella’s constant mocking does not help.
Tiny Guy Huge Girl: With her boyfriend, Rayza; although he’s not actually that short. Karah’s just that tall.
Huge Schoolgirl: Karah’s definitely one of the taller girls in the PCA, at least from my experience.
Deadpan Snarker: Karah tends to be a bit snarky, at least compared to her teammates. Zeke’s too naïve, Twitch is too busy, Corrine’s too stoic and Isabella’s too… gossipy?
Elemental Baggage: Unlike most of her type Karah cannot ‘summon’ water or air, instead simply having larger lungs to store air (and logically for holding her breath longer underwater) and having to store water in her stomach (thus all of her water moves are her regurgitating it, rather than summoning it somehow). Unfortunately having to store water within herself makes things really awkward on freezing days; since whilst having water in one’s stomach is bad enough for digestion, having your stomach frozen over pretty much ruins it. And I suppose that’d explain why she’s overweight; that water must ruin her metabolism.
Isabella:
Rich Bitch: She’s not too bad, but does have a bit of a superiority complex. This is probably fair enough considering how submissive most of her team are, though.
The Libby: Again, sort of. She and Eyrie go hand-in-hand as the ‘plastics’ of their social group, although they’re not too bad. Janice joins the duo on occasion as well, but she’s not as judging. Not even close.
Gossipy Hens: Isabella and Eyrie are like this most of the time, especially when they’re together.
The Prima Donna: She isn’t much of an actor, but the attitude fits well with the way she treats her team.
The Fashionista: She’s a clothing designer for a reason; y’know.

9. Favourite Drink: Diet cola; of any brand.
10. Least Favourite Food: Carrots.
And that's that for the time being. If I do repeat this meme for my other characters; I'll have to make sure to change the 'Favourite Muppet' question, as I don't think it's very fitting for many of my characters' backgrounds. I'd probably change it to 'Favourite Music Genre' myself.

7. Secret #1: Has romantic feelings for Sarabi; despite his insistence that their relationship is strictly business.
8. Secret #2: Enjoys the attention he gets for being ‘cute’.
9. Favourite Drink: Bottled spring water.
10. Least Favourite Food: Gobstoppers.
Day Ten: Isabella
1. Favourite Movie: 10 Things I Hate About You.
2. Favourite Colour/s: Cream; since it is simple but elegant, at least in her eyes.
3. Favourite TV Show:
4. Favourite Muppet: Sgt. Floyd Pepper.
5. Left or Right-Handed: Right.
6. Best Friend/s: Janice, Eyrie, Rochelle and Mitzy.
7. Secret #1: Absolutely hates Alicia, but wouldn’t say it to her face for fear of being beaten down by the girl.
8. Secret #2: Quite likes Zeke, despite constantly bossing him about.

10 Character Facts - Day 1
Posted 15 years agoWell, I'm jumping aboard this bandwagon whilst I finish off the TV Tropes Meme, write up at least one new character, complete No More Heroes 2 on Bitter, take care of my nieces, and wait for my sister to finish colouring my comissions.
Yeah, I stole this from
. I'm bad; I'm a bad man; I'm like a 12.0 on a 10.0 scale of badness. Don't need originality; originality is for wusses!
Step 1. Pick 10 of your original characters
Step 2. Answer these 10 Questions about them
Step 3. Post one character each day. If you have less than 10 original characters, you have less work!
Step 4. PROFIT.
Day One: Aero Erako
1. Favourite Movie: I don’t think he’s actually seen any, considering his father’s policies.
2. Favourite Colour/s: Blue, like Sonic; naturally. Red is up there too.
3. Favourite TV Show: Again, I don’t think he’s really seen enough for him to have a favourite.
4. Favourite Muppet: He definitely hasn’t seen The Muppet Show.
5. Left or Right-Handed: Right.
6. Best Friend/s: Tano, Eyrie, and Medli.
7. Secret #1: He’s addicted to sweets. It doesn’t take that long for most people to realise that, but he still sees it as a legitimate secret.
8. Secret #2: Despite his love of the series, Aero has actually only played five Sonic the Hedgehog games.
9. Favourite Drink: Fanta.
10. Least Favourite Food: Anything too spicy; rather ironic considering his type.

PCA Battle Themes Meme
Posted 15 years agoI’ve seen this a couple of times now, on several different journals, so here’s my version. Whilst having more characters generally means I have more work to do in profiles and such, it also means I get a lot more freedom with things like this. PCA TV Tropes Meme
Posted 15 years agoI've been reading TV Tropes for a good, I dunno, three years or so now, so this meme came kind of naturally to me. As always, all you gotta do is find character-related tropes which are relevent to your characters, and justify/explain why they work with your characters. TV Tropes is right here: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.p...../Main/HomePage and I'd recommend people do it, it's fun, gives readers more insight into your characters, and you might learn that your characters are more stereotypical than you think. I sure did. Anyway, this is just Team Excalibur; the other teams and independents are coming up soon. I'm probably going to be updating all my profiles soon too; gotta add some more character depth, especially to Eyrie. I've also got a story in the works about how Aero and Zeke's rivalry began, which is about a quarter of the way done.
Anyway, onto the main event:
Team Excalibur
Aero:
Fragile Speedster: There’s a reason why his battle experience is low. Though in truth his speed doesn’t really make up for his level of fragility…
Unstoppable Rage: When Aero gets mad his flames are hot enough to scorch himself, despite being fireproof.
Angst What Angst: He doesn’t have a mother and his father doesn’t seem to care about him at all. Does he make a single complaint? Nope. Though I’m not entirely sure if he realises how much he’s tormented.
Idiot Hero: When Aero’s in a heroic mood, he pretty much thinks he can do anything. Running on water, bragging in enemies’ faces… and he still hasn’t realised how much of a jerk he is.
Berserk Button: Don’t insult Aero’s father. While it’s not like Aero is strong enough to do much even if in a rage, you’ll probably get quite a bit of flak from his teammates due to his self-destructive nature of fighting.
Informed Ability: I’ve completely forgotten that he’s an artist.
What Would X Do: What would Sonic do? Aero’s delusions do not help this view on life, either.
Grind Boots: Well, they’re actually just homemade soap shoes, which aren’t too reliable; but his practice and dedication to making the most of them makes up for that.
Super Speed: He’s not really as fast as he says he is, but he’s certainly one of the faster students on foot. He does spend most of his time running after all.
Super Drowning Skills: He’s not that bad at swimming, but he’s pretty terrible. He doesn’t really get many chances to practice after all
Butt Monkey: His teammates are not fond of their youngest and weakest team member.
Cheerful Child: He’s not that young, but he is definitely naïve. And definitely cheerful, much to his teammates’ chagrin.
Theme Song Power Up: Being the obnoxious Sonic fanboy he is he loves his hero’s various theme songs. And thus, when it comes to tight situation he will actually sing them, much to his team’s horror.
Cute Shotaro Boy: I guess. He is pretty short and naïve. But I can promise you it wasn’t intended. Plus the fact he’s a complete ass from time to time.
Alicia:
Biker Babe: Well, she did come from Pyrite; y’know.
Action Girl: She’s probably the most enthusiastic about fighting out of all my characters. This tends to cause arguments amongst her team, though; especially with Medli’s studious nature.
Hell Bent for Leather: She likes her leather jacket. A lot.
The Big One: While one could say Medli is stronger and, well, bigger than Alicia, Medli is the only one who can act as the smart one. But yeah, Alicia’s the big strong dumb one.
Big Eater: Alicia has by far the biggest appetite of her team, but it’s probably fair enough since she spends most of her time fighting and thus needs a lot of energy.
Crouching Moron Hidden Badass: Alicia’s not that bright; although her main problem is that she tends to be very, very blunt, and absent-minded. Get her into a fight, on the other hand…
Hot Blooded: Mainly in fighting, but can be like this in pretty much anything if it’s necessary.
Ladette: To the extreme!
Boobs of Steel: Subverted; Alicia’s a great fighter, but her bust is actually fairly average considering her height and weight.
Team Chef: She’s supposedly a great cook, but most don’t get the chance to try her cooking, apart from her teammates. And even then she often purposefully makes boring meals in order to spite them. Which end up good anyway.
Hot Amazon: Well, up to interpretation like all sexuality-based tropes, but Alicia isn’t too bad looking despite her size and weight. Not really the best looking though; as evidence by her current lack of a date. Although that could be more due to her rather blatant lack of charm.
Eyrie:
Action Girl: Eyrie quite enjoys fighting and tends to be on equals in skill with Alicia, despite their major differences in fighting.
Deadpan Snarker: Whenever she gets the chance Eyrie will snark, especially towards anyone she doesn’t like, such as Karah and Medli.
Cool People Rebel Against Authority: On one night she’ll go around causing a ruckus like any other teenage girl, but on the other night she’ll be prim and proper like a proper lady, following every rule of etiquette in the book. This fact drives most of her potential boyfriends mad, and is her justification for dumping most of them.
The Lancer: She’s sort of the second in command of the team, being somewhat more level-headed and intelligent than her teammates.
Cool Big Sis: Towards Aero, sort of. She can be quite the jerk to him, but seems to have a genuine soft spot for him since he’s too naïve to be interested in her due to her looks.
The Tease: Eyrie enjoys getting boys flustered over her looks, although in truth it’s a form of subconscious spite. Eyrie has a tendency to dump every boy she meets because she believes they’re only interested in her body, regardless of whether they actually are or not.
Kuudere: She is well and truly sick of boys who are easily charmed by her flaunting of her looks; and has become highly cynical towards society because of it. But if someone does bother to think about her mind first…
Fag Hag: Eyrie gets along quite well with Valence, enjoying the fact that he isn’t interested in her sexually.
Medli:
Mighty Glacier: She can take the most punishment of Team Excalibur; let alone all my characters. She’s not that interested in fighting though; ironically.
Only Sane Man: Compared to her teammates; let alone most of my characters. Aero’s nigh-on delusional, Alicia is far too hot-tempered and absent-minded, Eyrie is pretty much a bitch (most of the time) and, well, Valence.
The Smart One: Probably the only member of her team who even bothers using intelligence rather than running straight into trouble (Aero), hitting the cause of the problem (Alicia), complaining a lot (Eyrie) or… well, I guess Valence studies too.
Team Mom: To everyone; not just her teammates. It helps that she’s got considerable skill in medication whilst in a school partially centred around fighting. She isn’t very impressed by her teammates referring to her as such, though. She has an irritating tendency to be a bit too motherly to even her older schoolmates though.
Mama Bear: While she tends to seem quite uncaring for her teammates due to their constant arguing, and the number of insults they throw at her, she is actually quite protective of her team, particularly Aero, and often Valence.
Beware the Nice Ones: Despite being somewhat of a pacifist it’s rumoured that Medli wiped out a full team of Freshmen once.
Big Breasts Big Deal: She’s a Miltank; she doesn’t really get a choice. While she is usually embarrassed about them she has become more resentful about the attention she gets from them, as they’re about all she has that her classmates seem to be interested in.
Fat Girl: She is a Miltank, after all. Made ironic by the fact that she probably eats the least of the team, especially in comparison to Alicia.
Valence:
The Chick: Compared to the rest of his team, Valence is by far the most effeminate.
Flamboyant Gay: Dear god yes. Wearing bright colours, hitting on every boy he meets, talking about how ‘fabulous’ Aero is looking…
Jerk With A Heart of Gold: While Valence tends to mock his teammates and irritate most people with his flamboyance he truly cares for his team, particularly Aero, being Medli’s partner in taking care of the unstable team. He’d never help someone to their face, though.
Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Despite his seeming ditziness, Valence is a damn genius, rivalling Corrine’s marks in academics. In battles, whilst seeming quite lazy (no seriously, he will read magazines in the middle of fights) should anyone bug him he will seriously screw with their mind, being a Ninetales after all.

Urban Dictionary Meme
Posted 15 years agoBecause I have too much time on my hands (or really I have stuff that I can't be bothered doing) I figured I'd steal Crovirus's meme from his recent journal, which he in turn stole from someone else, who probably in turn... well, you get the idea. Chain-stealing. That's a good word, now that I think about it. Anyway, the meme is to look up these pieces of personal info on http://www.urbandictionary.com/:
- Your name
- Your age
- One of your friend's names
- What you should be doing
- Your favourite colour
- Your birthplace
- Your month of birth
- The name of the last person you talked to
- One of your nicknames
Pick your favourite answer for each and put 'em in a journal for all to see. But never un-see.
1. Daniel
This is a difficult name to define because it defies many boundaries of human perception, let alone various languages. One of the closest translations that experts give is God or many other variations of that general idea.
Other definitions are thought to be:
Tao
Chi
The Great Spirit
Chuck Norris
Energy
Infinity
Sublime
ect
Despite the fact that various names have been pinned to Daniel, its seems that all of the above examples (including that of God)cannot even withstand the magnitude of Daniel.
The reason this name continues to elude even the brightest of human minds is that the idea of Daniel cannot possibly exist in a dimensional state. Daniel is so powerful, it defies all laws of this or any other universe. Recent studies have shown that people who have attempted to comprehend this name have either disappeared, died spontaneously, or driven themselves into a pertinent state of insanity and/or catatonia. One common belief is that Daniel is possibly the grounds on which everything and nothing is based. It seems to surpass the idea of infinity. Quantum physicists report that this Daniel is Everything and Nothing. It or He is said to have unexplainable connections with the String and Superstring Theories as Daniel resonates within every single layer of the multi-dimensional complex and yet still exists beyond that point which is where scientists have lost the trail. Various theologists and spiritual leaders believe that Daniel is one who is, as they say, "The Answer". All attempts to understand this idea of Daniel have failed.
Daniel. Nothing else can describe him.
... Wow. I never knew I was that deep.
2. 16
16 is not to be confused with 15 or even 17. Its the age when you are able to drive and earn your independence!
If you are 16 you are pretty much an adult, which means YOU ROCK!
Now that I'm 16 years old, Im not late to school and practice any more!
Hooray?
3. Tim
A pretty cool guy who likes to talk and joke a lot if you're his friend but is pretty quiet if he doesn't know you.
You think you're funny? Try talking to Tim without laughing.
Pretty much a spot on definition of my Tim. Hm.
4. Probably Study
Memorizing material the day before a test (the day of for some) and completely forgetting all the information exactly after the test is taken, or sometimes even before.
Oh crap the test is tomorrow! I guess I should study. I wonder what chapters it's on.
I just remembered that I have a biology test tomorrow. I hate you, UrbanDictionary.
5. White
The color white. Contrary to popular belief the word "white" is not a racial comment or slur.
This paper is white!
(idiot human rights activist) "Oh my GOSH you racist bastard!!"
6. Perth
The most isolated capital city in the world. Population of 2 million people.. white sandy beaches.. beautiful weather.. sexy easy-going people.. and cool kangaroos.
Man, if we were in Perth we'd be having hot sex with pretty girls right now.
7. June
The month in which the most awesome girls ever are born. June babies are sweet, caring, sexy, lovable and all around cuddly.
Cause June is just awesome that way...
W-What about the June boys?!
8. Andrew
The Newest breed of Penguin.
This type of penguin is an Andrew.
...What?
Danny Boy
Term used to describe a straight man that a gay man has a crush on/is attracted to. Coined from a song of the same name by Rufus Wainwright, this term can also describe a deeper connection and longing for a straight man by a gay male.
Kyle: I love Steven...but he is straight. He's my Danny Boy.
I am now horrified by the fact I am called this in an all boys school. D:
Nice work Crovirus, you've scarred me for life. I hope you're happy. And now I need to study for Biology too. Damn.

PCA, Eh?
Posted 16 years agoI've always wanted to do something role-play, uh, -y for Pokemon, and this seems to be pretty much what I'm looking for. I'm also a bit of a writer as I've said, so expect some characters to pop up here soon. Not that anyone's exactly watching me, though :P
