So as some of you may, or may not know,  Clumzy,  Cobaltin and my band Xephyr is recording a new album and we've launched a Kickstarter to help us with studio, production, art, and manufacturing costs.

What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
Play a kickass show with my band, hang out, suit, drink, etc. This will be my first MFF so I'm really looking forward to taking it all in :3

So this has been in the works for quite a while now, we just had it confirmed the other day; my band along with and cobaltinicon: will be playing at MFF this year on Friday, December 1st at 3:30pm! We will be joined once again by our pals and as well as the crazy talented Matthew Ebel! On a personal note, this will also be my first time at MFF, so if you're there, don't be afraid to say hi to a derg! :3

7 years ago I started dating my best friend, and I don't think I would ever have guessed how much my life would change in those 7 years. However, the only thing that I've had that has remained constant is  kodisnowpup, and despite the ups and downs, has been the one thing that has always been in my life, and I still love him like the very first day. Now I know every year I do this and I talk about overcoming so much together and what not, but I think don't think it's ever been as important as it has been over the last year. After 2016 without question being the worst year of my life, we both had some news delivered to us at the very end of last year that essentially turned our world upside down in the worst way possible, and 2017 has very much in a lot of ways been a year of coping and recovery. It certainly has not been the smoothest of sailing, but the one good thing that we were able to pull out of this is it put a lot of things into perspective and pulled us closer together than I think we've ever been. We still have a long road ahead, but we're laying the groundwork together and pushing forward one day at a time, and I couldn't ask for a better person to be doing it all with.

So myself,  Clumzy, and  Cobaltin will be headlining at Lee's Palace in the heart of downtown Toronto Friday night! This is gonna be a big show for us and it's our first since March, so if you're in the area, come hang with us and watch us make asses of ourselves!

My good pal and bandmate  Clumzy is in a bit of a tight spot right now. He and his friends were traveling from BLFC to San Francisco to catch their flights home when someone broke into their rental car along the way and made off with his bag containing both his passport and fursuit head. Now he's stuck in California at least until he can get his passport situation solved and get on a flight back home to Toronto.

That's right! My band Xephyr (along with  clumzy and  cobaltin) will be playing at Furnal Equinox this year on Saturday, March 18 at 3pm in the Main Ballroom - Metro East! We're also super excited to be playing alongside this year's Guest of Honour  PepperCoyote! To my knowledge, we may be one of the only rock bands to ever play at a fur con, so we're beyond stoked! We maaaaaaaaaaay also have another surprise planned for opening ceremonies, so be sure to show up for that :3.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday yesterday! Whether it was on here, Twitter, Telegram, Facebook, whatever, I was really feeling the love <3. Went to go see Monday Night RAW last night with my doge kodisnowpup and another friend and it was an absolute blast!

On the downside however, my phone crapped out on me today so now I'll be phoneless for a few days until I can figure out with Rogers or LG how I can get a new one. So I might be a little dead on Twitter and Telegram until then :l

Just thought since I've recently started using FA again more regularly again, as well as the recent bizarre influx of watchers I've had for some reason in the last little bit, I'd post an update on what derg has been up to!

So as usual, been super busy between school, work, music stuff, etc. Started my final year at school a few weeks ago and it's already in full swing and keeping me swamped. Also finished up my contract with the government for the summer which actually had me working in the Ministry of the Attorney General's building, otherwise known as THE Ontario law office. Gained some very valuable experience there and really hoping that it helps me get a job with the government once I graduate.

Otherwise, my band along with Clumzy and cobaltin has really started to make some noise, having played some of the biggest name venues in the Toronto/GTA bar circuit. We're hopefully going to be getting into the studio soon to record some new tracks and shoot a video, among some other really cool stuff we have planned!

However, the big news is that I am officially going to be getting a fursuit come early next year! I am officially on temperance 's queue and I should hopefully have it by April. I really can't wait to finally bring Turi to life and finally live out all of his dragony shenanigans, especially with how great he's going to look :3. There's also another commission or two on the way which I'm really looking forward to seeing.

Anyway, other than that, derg is derg. Go about your business :P

So here I am, still on vacation in Vancouver and I get a call at 6:30 in the morning telling me I got the job I was interviewed for almost 2 months ago! I'll be working for the Government of Ontario, particularly the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services, full time over the summer :D. It's just an internship position for now, but it's a foot in the door and my chances of being hired back as a permanent full time Government employee will be exponentially better. I believe I'm starting the week after next, but I'll be hearing all the details early next week. Things are all good! :D
