My landlords cashed the various checks we wrote them WAY earlier than we all anticipated. WHy am I the only one of us 3 without a fat paycheck or a trust fund????!!

So yeah, if the second check clears anytime before Thursday (payday), I'm going to be about $100 in the hole and face the lovely overdraft fees my bank hits me with.

It WAS a power source problem after all! So now everything is fixed and I have a friend coming soon to upgrade this clunker. I have internet and new house mates and my bunny is settling into our new home

An aquaintance has ordered a new power source and once that arrives, we'll see if the ol' clunker comes back to life. If not, then it's a motherboard issue. Thankfully, i have a friend who was on teh Geek Squad for 3 years and he's offered to come all the way out from Cape Cod to fix/upgrade my machine.

I'm about 90% moved into the House of J's, just my bed, bunny, kitchen and bathroom stuff to be moved, plus myself and clothing. Weather willing, I'll be moving the last of my stuff in on Sunday or Monday.

Luggage is deeply confused by the lack of furniture in the apartment and has been following me around mroe than usual. I feel bad for the lil guy but soon he'll be less "Where did everything go?!?!" and more "Who are these people and why can't I run around free-range anymore???!?!?!?!"

From the outside world.
My computer died yesterday. Just up and keeled over. No system crash, no error message, no nothing. It just stopped sending information to the monitor, mouse, tablet, and keyboard. It took me nearly a full minute to shut it down manually and then when I tried to turn it back on, it made a series of clicking noises befiore the fan finally stopped whirring and it refused to start up at all. There's a current going thru the system, i can hear the electric buzzing noise, and the lights are on, but absolutely NOTHING happens.
Called 2 tech-savvy friends and they both agreed it sounds like a power supply issue. My nephew built the damn thing but he doesn't have the time to come out here and run a diagnostic this week. He's going to be helping me move this weekend, so MAYBE I can get him to take it into his care or at least look at it and see what I can do.
So needless to say, I'm not going to be reachable except by phone for the forseeable future... I'm currently making use of Mom's computer and doing laundry, and I wish to all that's unholy she'd at least let me take this fucking laptop for the week. But nooooooo.... That'll never happen >:/

So yeah. Email and LJ will be checked from either mom's house or from the House of J's once I get my stuff moved in there. No IM's, no music, no art, no downloads, nothing else. This is worse than not having internet access, since at least then I could still listen to my music and work on my art work and writings.

Alternately Rawked and Sucked

I caught a cold for Christmas.

Went out Wednesday, didn't get home till 2am (my own fault entirely, but SO FUCKING WORTH IT!!!!)

Felt like death warmed over at work and so left after 5 hours.

Car started making funny noises again so I pulled off at the Belchertown Stop & Shop, called Daddy for a rescue and had a hysterical fit while I waited 45 minutes for him and Mom to come.

They said it sounds like a busted spring so in about 10 minutes I'm going to call my local mechanic and have him take a look.


Had a rough night's sleep, woke up still sick and just want to sleep all day. Buuuut I can't.





And to top it off, I have a mild case of heartache :/

It never fails; all the money troubles show up at the end of the month, at once. and especially when things at work are not going well >_<

Like Frank N Furter at the end of RHPS, my car tranny is dead.

My dad had to cash in stocks to get enough money for the estimated price for $1500 to fix it. Now it turns out it's a lot worse (something about the torque converter being totally destroyed). About $2400 worth of worse.

I was out of work for about a week, due to lack of sample for the studies in the office, so I was behind on cash anyway. Then, of course, I get car troubles the very DAY I get called back into work >_<

There's not much I can do to help pay now, aside from possibly looking up lower-interest-rate credit cards for myself. As it is, I just have a debit/mastercard, so it's not like I can just help them out by plopping my half of the bill on that, yanno?

So I guess I'll be opening up for commissions to pay for the DSL and any other bills I can... Got a new tablet after my idiot mother 'accidentally' threw my old one out in a bout of overzealous cleaning. Stay tuned for further updates.

Got DSL. It's more expensive, but 3'xs faster. plus, 2-3 commissions a month should keep me going for a while.

So internet is taking a little longer than I thougth to get up and running.
I R not smrt and forgoted that you need a working PHONE line for Dial up to work >_< ANd I have NO idea who the local phone company is, aside from the fact that it NOT AT&T...

So when my Ex moves out at the end of the month, the cable will go with him. That means I will be 'net less unless I can whore myself out for artwork to pay for cheap-ass dial up.

Gonna call AT&T for their prices on a land line internet hook up deal. I'd only need it for about 3-4 moths until I can get the hell out of here and find a new place that allows Luggage the Destroyer.

So it's been a while since I updated this thing. A lot has happened in my life.

I'm still sitting on commissions, i know, i know. I've done several but for some fucked up reason, NONE of my email programs will let me send the files to their recipients >_<

I got my job back and I'm doing very well with it. The company bought a smaller company and projects are flowing in nice and steady, so layoffs are the last thing on anyone's mind and there's a reliable rumor that there will be a significant pay raise in the near future.

And I am now single.

My ex-fiance and I are over. Long story short, 2 years ago, I had an affair with a then-friend. Obviously, I didn't tell the Boy about it and it fizzled after a few weeks anyway. The Boy found out about it while reading my journal and then asked a mutual friend if I had ever been with anyone else. She didn't exactly say yes or no, but apparently, her silence and Deer-in-headlights look was enough confirmation.

He's moving out of the apartment at the end of October, I'm staying here until at least January. But once he goes, so does my internet connection and cable TV, since they are both in his name and even if I work 40+ hours a week, there's no way I can afford even DSL or dial up. My parents are helping me pay half the rent once he leaves, so I actually CAN afford to live here, I just won't have any contact with the outside world except from my phone (which I have to get a new one, since that's also part of his phone plan).

So yeah. That's about it. I've been sleeping on the couch for the last 3 weeks when I'm not couch-surfing at friend's houses or my parent's place. I feel bad about leaving my bunny all alone, but the Ex has grown very fond of the lil guy and I figure they could use the bonding time while they have it.

I'll try to post as much art as I can before then end of October, and I hope to see lots of people at FurFright this year. Come hell or high water, I WILL be going to that damn con.

Got back @ 2am on Friday morning. Enjoying the last few days of vacation.

Then I get a call from my office. There were some massive layoffs while I was away, but I still (technically) have a job b/c I"m the only person doing the MS study at night. Well, it seems there's not enough sample for me to dial during the week and I can't work until Friday the 15th!

Fucking Randstad... So I'm in the process of fuming, biding my time until Friday and filling out applications to other jobs. At this point, I'm desperate for some kind of job security. And first thing Monday morning, I have to call my student loan office and explain that I can't pay them for a lil while. Hopefully they'll put a hold on my bills...

So yeah. Haven't had a chance to draw much, but since I"ve got an 'extension' of my vacation, we'll see what happens.

I'm going on a much needed vacation.
I"ll be gone for about 10 days, starting tomorrow (6/1). I"ll be flying out from CT at ass-o'clock in the morning for Arizona. Spend 2 days out there, and then drive back home across the country with 4 other friends and a cat. We're all helping a dear friend move back to Massachusetts and getting a road trip into the bargain.

I've already posted about the money issues, but now here's the health.

Strep throat, bronchitis, and sinus infections are floating around my office. I've been dilligent about wiping down my station upon arrival and using the hand sanitizer, but it looks like something has taken up residence in my left tonsil. I have that familiar tingle that says SOMETHING is doing battle with my immune system. Time to down some nasty-tasting medicine and pray that my day of rest tomorrow will be enough to keep a case of strep from taking over.

No, I don't hate money.
I HATE NOT HAVING MONEY!

Becasue I fille dout my W-2 wrong when I first joined Randstad, I ended up oweing the federal Govt $280. I got my taxes done, thanks to Matt's mom, but after being laid off and spending my $2000 inheritence on bills and living thru 3 months of no-income (Thank you, Gramma for leaving me the money, but I"m sorry I coudlnt' save it....*tries not to e cry again.....and fails*), things got messed up.

I was expecting to get $229 back from MA and use it to help pay off my Federal bill. I got the check today and it was $100 LESS than what I expected. Apparently, there was an error in my calcuations.

FUCK.

HCC is still after me to pay them off. I thought I was over and done with those fuckers. So I owe HCC $141 for last month. PLUS I need to pay FAFSA $65 for this month AND my electric bill is... i have no idea, prolly $50 again.

DOUBLE FUCK.

To top it off, I have that roadtrip coming up. I am going to have NO money at all for it, what with paying rent right off the bat, food, motels, etc.
I"ve been looking forward to this fucking triup for a YEAR. I want to just cancel my ticket.. oh wait, I cna't since MATT BOUGHT THEM.
Working extra hours is a fucking JOKE. There's not enough sample to go around. Those 5 other survey's Im' on are nearly done and the huge project is wrapping up , and it's going to be another month until the new one is finalized. The best i can do is call in early on Thrusday and Frisay to see if they have extra work I can do, or stay all day Saturday from 9-5, skipping the un-paid half hour lunch break at some point.

Mom and Dad don't really expect me to pay them back. But my IOU with Matt is getting higher and higher. He just wrote me a check for $100 to help make up the difference with my taxes.
