Where to start. Lets start with me. I'm fantastic. Life is cheery and looking up. Vacation has imprinted an optimistic outlook for the time being. Got a lot to say about learning from mistakes and listening to the little man in the back of your head that says "don't do this" and don't get carried away". Friends who know you better than you know yourself should be listened to when they pull you aside and give you advice. Some dramatic events have unfolded in the last 5 months. I've left some bad impressions on people and tested my solid friendships. I'm glad the ones who were close are closer, and the news ones aren't jeopardized. I feel a little more sound now. Time for damage control lol.

As for vacation...

Con was interesting to say the least. Lots and lots of drama, between friends, strangers, and even hotel staff lol. Some things that needed to be taken care of were. Met some great personalities... if you were added to my FB that means thats you ; ). Once I got to Chicago had to deal with listneing to relative after relative talk about family drama and ask me what im doing about the situation... the answer is nothing. It's not my place. There is nothing I can do. So next time I visit lets try to keep it cheery.. Sound like a plan? The only person who can and has the right to talk to me about my sister or anyone else is my Mom, no one else has earned that. No offense, if I need advice I'll come to you. Other than the family drama... Had a super fantastic time catching up with all my buddies, wish I could have fit so much more in the time I had. I'm glad I got to see everyone.

So lately many many things have improved in my life. I'm finally full time, got a raise. Have great friends, and family is well.It's been ages since I've given in to any of my addictions. The point of this journal isn't to talk about all that though. The point is I'm trying a new personality/character trait. I'm going to be more open to people and not as unapproachable. This will entail letting quite a few guards down, which I did this past weekend and so far it turned out well. Had a great time at my get together. Got to wrestle with someone (nothing dirty people get your mind out of the gutters) which I haven;t been able to do in forever. Was a pretty good match up but ultimately the ice ended up in my pants... Did some petting and scritching all PG of course. So I think I'll try to continue not being so closed off to people. Who knows maybe something good will come of it.

I have no idea why I'm writing this, maybe to sharpen my online grammar. I'm pretty confident that by the end of this my grammar will have gone to shit... So I realized today that I have not had any kind of contact with my lil sister for over ten years. This made me try to find her on one of the various social networking sites online. This was of course to no avail, which I fully blame on Tomah, WI not being civilized enough to have the internet... Does not knowing my sister, my own flesh and blood, make me a bad person? I mean she may only be my half sister but I've considered people family for less than half blood. I feel like I should have been a part of her life. Should I feel obligated to her because she is "technically" part of me? I think so. I'm sure that some would argue the point. Family, to me, is a huge part of who I am. Who am I to have denied this to her. On to other thoughts. Wow sooo much has changed in my life in the last 6 months. I tried to think of a defining point to pin point the beginning of the change, but I cannot. Since I've moved back to the Seattle area I've been forced to cocoon and emerge once again in my life. I am positive that everything that has changed has been for the best. I can't think of one bad habit or though pattern that I've adopted since all this change has started. Lets start with the actual move here. I got back here in July of 09' and quickly learned that someone who I thought was a best friend had changed drastically since I last knew her. This ultimately led to us no longer being friends. I've learned that sometimes no matter how close you are to someone and how similar your lives are at one moment this does not mean that you will always be at the same level. It definitely hurt to lose such a close friend. In the process of losing her I gained several new friends who are at the level I am right now. I'm confident that they will continue to grow as people as well as will I. Things went ok for a couple months after arriving here, then BAM Mom has a heart attack. This happened in September and started a crazy insane spiral downward in my life. The first and obvious aspect being my broken deluded concept that my Mother was invincible and would always be here. Thankfully she fully recovered. I wont even try to touch the magnitude of hurt and fear this whole event caused in me. My family is everything to me, all I have. The only constant in my life up till this point. In one simple flash of life this can be taken away. I drew back from reality and put on a facade for my friends after this that everything was honky dorey. Fell into the grips of one addiction and tried to fight it off by opening myself up to a wholly new addiction. Lost my job, woke the hell up and now found myself here. I think I left a part of me behind, but at least now I can focus on developing whats left. I'm fearfully optimistic over whats happening in my life right now. I will say loneliness can still be a bitch sometimes. I've still got so many random thoughts and no one to bounce them off of. I need a new ranting friend. Someone I can stay up with till the sun comes up talking about nothing or not saying anything at all. The kind of friend you can call at 3 am and they are happy to hear from you. I miss Meg

RF is coming up fast. Life is moving even faster. One day you think you got it mostly figured out and then you realize a piece along the way didnt fit. All in all im satisfied with my progress in general. I plan on having a blast at this con. meeting some new people. making some new friends. building memories with current friends. Cant wait to have all our roomies there to see how they take to the furry world lol. Who knows maybe in a couple years i wont be a "fan of furry" anymore and ill just be a furry. Some really terrible news came my way recently about a longtime friend and it knocked the wind outta me. so im trying to catch my breath and learn from others and their journeys. I've come to realize that the way I perceive myself is not how others perceive me. I've been trying to reconstruct myself for the past two years, and nearly thought I "had it". In the past I considered myself insecure, irritable, difficult to get along with, nieve, inconsiderate, and anti-social. So when all the crazy gambling stuff happened and lead to me moving back to Wisconsin I decided to have some reconstructive personality surgeory. I've been trying to be more positive, thoughtful, consitent, encouraging, and less sarcastic. I know I've hardly become the epitomy of these aspects but I do believe I'm much closer than before.
I need to do some serious soul searching, in the past month I've been called really nasty things by friends past friends and aquaintances and they all seem to be on the same page.
Each time this happened I was taken back to hear them said about me. Just last night I was called arrogant rude inconsiderate and bossy by someone I hold dear as a friend. Up till that point I had no idea I treated that person in any of those manors. I still think it was exagerated but there has to be some reason that he would come up with this logic, some truth to the point. Last week another friend told me Im critical, gossipy, and cutthroat. a month before that I was called childish, immature, condescending, and inconsistent.
what the fuck am I really this bad of a person? I am human and am trying to become a better person but I hardly think Im this extreme of a failure. I dont know what to do. I dont know what to say. I feel like I've clearly been extending myself in the wrong manor to people. Im so glad Im moving, not because Im upset with anyone but because I feel like a complete failure in Wisconsin. Even my family thinks I extracted myself from the family tree. I was told I'm uppity and act like Im to good to be part of the family. I dont feel this way... I feel lik emy family doesnt like me because of who I am. That I have a giant perpetual pussing zit on my forehead and need to be avoided.
Someone please tell me Im not a horrible person...

So I have great news an awesome friend decided to move to Seattle with me on July 1st. This is amazing in several ways I will list them in the appropriate sequential order.
1. We both encourage each other to grow and become better people.
2. This will get him out of a horrendous living situation in which he has been stagnant for the past 3 years
3. I no longer need to come up with the entire 1500 my current roommate screwed me out of by backing out. I am only asking my friend to come up with a portion of it but every dollar counts. I am more than happy to front part of the cost for him to allow him to move with me.

On another note. I was invited to be on staff next year at FCN and its being reviewed by the panel. Everyone cross your fingers because I'm thrilled about this. To think this was my second con and I had this much fun. I cant wait for the next con which is Rainfurs in Seatac WA. I will be living about 5 minutes from the location as well as my furry friend who is moving with me. So expect many furry fantastic fananzas to be appropriated. : )
