All Are Welcome Here
General | Posted 13 years agoWhat happened to believing we were artists?
If you ask a kindergarten class how many of them are artists, they'll all raise their hands.
Ask the same question of 6th graders, and maybe one third will respond.
Ask high school grads, and few will admit to it.
What happens to us growing up? We begin to fear criticism, and tend to keep our creativity to ourselves. Many people keep journals, of writing or sketching, but not many share them with people. (when was the last time a friend invited you to read their diary?)
We are convinced for those reasons that whatever we do isn't good enough to be called 'art'.
But art isn't something to be feared of - it's one of the most vibrant, important, vivid and creative ways to show our individuality.
Whether it's a drawing, digital art, traditional art, prose, poems, liturature, vodeos, music, spoken word (yes, it IS considered an art form!) sand castles, food, photography or anything else we can do well.
Art is meant to be fun, as is life.
'Art IS life.' Never forget.
You will not be judged here. ALL art is welcome. You are welcome here, and we are here for you. For everyone.

For the simples reason there is……………
Because I’ve never had anyone or anything to fight for.
I don’t see the point in this fight anymore, so this is my final journal.
