Deviantart?
Posted 10 years agoHow many of you guys use it? Do you prefer it?
I love DA, but it's almost impossible to get a following going unless you're out-of-the-water spectacular. Just curious if any of my watchers here prefer it or not, because I want to start shifting some attention to it potentially. The pronz will only be posted here though.

Still Alive
Posted 10 years agoYEASS I'm still here. I've been sort of distant from all things pony, but season 5 has been rekindling my flame. Sometimes I forget how much I love ponies, to be honest. BUT I always come back to them.

PWYW Stream Rules!
Posted 11 years agoFor those of you who are unaware of how a Pay What You Want stream works, I've prepared this list of processes and rules as a guideline.
Put simply, a PWYW stream is meant to be easier and simpler work on me, and to be affordable commissions for those wanting art from me but who may not have a lot of money to spare. I will do as many of these as I can in the allotted amount of time per stream.
THE PROCESS
-Join the stream.
-Make me aware of your interest so I can add you to the queue!
-Pay your desired amount (anything over $3)
-Provide me with links. Just links. Not a paragraph of what you want me to draw, just the character links. These are meant to be simple and easy on me and affordable for you!
-Watch me draw!
RULES
-Be polite to everyone in the stream.
-Wait your turn.
-FOLLOW THE STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS.
-Please read over my commission info for details on things I won't draw.
-Everything will be posted after the stream. This is subject to change if I find a better way of doing things in the future.
-Please leave character links on the stream submission.

STILL ALIVE
Posted 11 years agoSo I just realized not everyone who watches me here watches my other accounts.
Activity has been sluggish lately because my computer hates me. I'm rather desperate for funds. Work has come to a grinding halt now that my laptop has decided it won't run my tablet, even after a fresh driver install.
As badly as I want to work on art lately, I've got badge orders to fill from AFC now as well as the fact that my computer is incapable of doing art. T_T
So until I can get this sorted out, things are going to be slow going.
I've gone and set up a gofundme:
http://www.gofundme.com/hj7ndc
If you don't have funds to donate, spreading the word is also helpful. I'm reaching out everywhere I possibly can for help here. I'm going to see what I can do to raise money in the meantime, but offering discounted streams and regular commissions never seems to work out for me. :/
Expect me to do a fundraising stream sometime soon using my mate's computer. This isn't a permanent solution, and sort of inconveniences everyone, but I don't have a lot of options. >>
Thanks for reading, regardless.

Woah
Posted 11 years agoFA going down startled me.
I'm considering moving this to InkBunny if anybody would follow.
I wanted to state this before I had too much on this account to see where it would leave me. I prefer InkBunny anyway to be honest, and the fact that I had an issue with a watcher within 24 hours of creating this account, I sort of have a bad taste in my mouth now.

PSA|| There are no "Free Commissions"
Posted 11 years agoCommissions are art that you have paid for. You are commissioning someone to do a piece of art for you, meaning that you are paying them to set aside time out of their day to create something unique just for you.
By definition, there is no such thing as a "free commission."
There is such a thing as requests, however. These are art that an artist has offered to do specifically for you for free. That means if you say "can you please draw my character?" and the artist says "yeah, sure! I'll do that for yah" it's a request.
Then we move on to another subject: simply offering a suggestion. I have posted a link to my suggestion box and would love to hear what sort of ideas my watchers can think up for me to draw! Sometimes fresh ideas can help stir my own creativity. However, just because you said in passing "You should draw (insert idea here)" and I happen to take your suggestion, does not mean that you have any ties to the image produced. It is still my art, with characters that do not belong to you, and therefore you have no right to post it in your own gallery. I'm all for people posting artwork I make specifically for them that they have paid for! However simply grabbing an image from my gallery and saying "this was my idea, so I get to post it" does not fly.
Please, please, PLEASE, have some respect for artists. We're people too. We have thoughts and feelings and emotions. When we say no to something, don't argue. That should be a basic rule when dealing with anyone, not just artists. No means no. Nit "keep asking and maybe they'll change their mind" or "well they said no, but I'm going to do it anyway." If we apply that action to some "irl" situations you end up in jail, really fast.
/end heartfelt expulsion of emotion
