Just mentioning this because I need to remind myself of it and some other stubborn artists could prolly use the advice as well.

It's perfectly okay to use references for poses and body parts, you don't need to claw your way up from nothing to be legit. Don't trace*, but no one is going to jump down your throat if you use a reference pose or take inspiration from a picture (as long as you're honest about it). If they do, fuck 'em.

I've been having trouble knocking off the rust and realized I fell back into old, bad, habits like that. Don't be like that, it's okay. That is all!

*Disclaimer, it's okay to trace when you're starting out, but like with other things don't claim it's all you. You're learning, it's okay, but if you want to get better it's best not to rely on tracing.

For the last month or so   bastionshadowpaw has been dealing with simultaneously the most American and the least American situations someone can go through. Now it's all coming to a head.

The judge gave us 27 seconds... not even an entire minute. They are planning on deportation, and we have until January 9th to convince the court not to proceed. They wouldn't even hear our attorney's other arguments or consider our open requests.

So... We have 3 weeks to try to get a whole lot done, and to be honest we are close to running out of funding to do it with. I really do hate asking for more, especially after so many have already donated so much, but we are going to need the support for us to be able to continue.

Being deported to Venezuela right now is a death sentence, and the alternative is remaining in an ICE Detention Center indefinitely. Please consider helping us if you are able.

I probably should make some kinda journal here before the last one turns a decade old. So... yeah, journal!

Trying to draw more, experiment with ways of drawing with my tablet and having fun with it again. Coloring things too! Gonna try drawing more stuff I can post here too, but if it's your thing I do post other things elsewhere :3

Besides some AC problems and a neighbor's tree leaning on the service line coming into the house we seem to be okay here ^^;

Ah, not much longer now. Supposed to hit sometime tonight and end sometime in the morning. I could deal with this better if it was happening during the day ^^; But we'll be doing what we can.

Looks like my area's possibly gonna be ran over by Irma's eye. I'm not at the tip of Florida though, so hopefully it's knocked down a few categories before reaching us. Not that I'm all that active, but I figured I oughta let folks know what's going on here.

Trying to get my characters verified on F-list so I'm hoping that a little journal mentioning TD (http://www.f-list.net/c/twisteddragon/) and Skip's (http://www.f-list.net/c/lil%20td/) pages might help a little with the process x3 Aaanyway, I've been trying to yet again get back into drawing, things are a little more comfortable and I'm kinda feeling it, it's just not quite there yet. So a little more tweaking of my surroundings and such should hopefully get me back in the groove. And no, nooooo more commissions ever, maybe requests in the future, but if commissions have taught me anything is that I suck horribly at drawing when I have a perceived deadline >..<

I've felt pretty bad about a few things as of late so I thought I might apologize to everyone at once.

Those of you on my IMer's have probably noticed even if I'm around I haven't said a thing unless someone says something to me first. I've just felt incredibly shy as of late, I can't bring myself to make first contact because I feel like I'd be bugging you all. I know it's irrational, but I haven't been able to pull myself back up and take that leap. So if you've been wondering, well that's why :c

The other is for the fans of my artwork. I'm sorry I haven't drawn, or at least posted, any art in a while. I've had a real art block for the past few years and I've found it hard to just pull out the paper and pencil like I used to. There's all kinds of things I want to draw but I always find reasons to kill my drive, whether it's putting my skills down or I just can't find the drive in the first place, something's always kept me from drawing. You all deserve to get some decent doodles, even if I can only manage some sketches. Sorry folks.

From the outside it just looks like bugs, but if it's you that has to deal with 'em it feels like you've been violated. Your possessions get destroyed and dirtied up. Luckily they only ate the box and boxes contained inside and didn't ruin the video tapes and electronics within. I'm stressed out :( Bet you didn't know termites can eat a Swiffer sweeper...

Since everyone else is doing it I might as well give my stance on all of this. I'm not all that upset that cub art has been banned, I understand why and I believe it's a perfectly logical reason to do so if FA wants to get a new pay service. My only gripe is that I have to sit here and delete things in mass quantities with a system that isn't designed for it xD Control Panel > Manage Submissions > Next Page > Delete > Repeat. It all gets very tedious.

But I'm sure a few are curious of my stance on cub art itself, everyone knows I draw it and I'm pretty sure it's about all I'm known for with people outside of the "loop". But the way I see it is fairly simple, I believe everyone should have any and all liberties they want as long as those liberties don't encroach on someone else's liberties. Simple as that. I have no problem with what's called "art" (I still see art as something with higher purpose other than to get your rocks off) when it depicts cubs or the human variant in adult situations, although I myself find it extremely uncomfortable and disturbing to look at when it's humans. Same goes for things such as guro, snuff, all that gory junk. I don't like it myself but I'll fight for your right to enjoy the fantasy of it. I have an extreme distaste for someone even mentioning anything eluding to the thought of real life acts, I usually find an excuse to drop the conversation with the person immediately, more than likely just leaving in one form or another. The thought of "it" especially happening to boil my blood, I know it sound strange coming from me but it does. If I ever think someone, especially a child is in danger from someone like that I'd either be on the phone or finding someone that'd be able to stop them, even if they were a close personal friend.

When it comes to the fantasies I think of they're often things I thought of a long long time ago when I was little. I was a perverted little boy and I knew it, I knew it wasn't normal either so I didn't "experiment" and I still have no desire to, unless it's something exclusively limited to my own person such as sounding or something like that. More times than not when I roleplay or draw I'm the one that's the cub, only doing things the other way around when someone else wants to try. For me it's when those things were their most fun, when most things were the most fun, hence why it has an appeal to me. I'm not the best at explaining things, I'm probably going around in circles, but I hope at least managed to get something out that made sense xD Just hoping to give a little insight into my messy unkempt brain.

Oh and if no one gets the subject it's from Futurama, Old Man Waterfall, the old bisexual polygamist satanist war hero, figured it kinda fit here given my stance on liberties xP

So much to delete, so much clicking! It'd be alot easier if it was set up like the incoming submission folder. Instead of clicking control panel, clicking manage submission, clicking delete, then starting all over again for each and every picture, so tedious D: And don't worry, I saved all I'm deleting.

Ooookay... don't have my old image editing program so I'm having trouble scanning anything I've drawn, so... I can't post anything I've drawn until I figure out Photoshop ^^; Sorry folks.

Simple question, what should I try and draw? I need practice and I can't bring myself to draw any of my ideas sooo... idears, gimme 'em, anything except for the things ya know I don't draw :P

Just a heads up, Bob's mom kinda fudged her finances this week and we'll be losing the internet possibly at the end of the night. So I'm gonna try to be on as long as possible if anyone wants to say hi before I'm gone for about five or six days xP We just don't want to pay their $150 cable bill ourselves this time, even if she keeps hinting she wants us to, once was enough.

Woo! New hard drive is in, it's just an 80 gig but I rarely if ever get even close to using half that, even with all the porn I got piling up in folders xD Computer's running nice and fast, also got real quiet so everything's back to normal, awesome! :D And I really hate trying to find the right obscure drivers when you install an OS ><

Well um.. now it seems Bob's laptop can't boot Windows either, but luckily I at least got everything of importance off of it thanks to my thumbdrive and Linux once again. Bob doesn't know yet but I'll tell 'em when he gets home in the morning, he'll be bummed but it's not like I don't get plenty of time to use the computer while he's out xP If anyone wonders why I'm not around as much, this'll be why.

Is the company behind the Bratz brand (MGA Entertainment) headed by a board full of a bunch of wealthy pedos? I mean really, open up Google and type in "Bratz Costume". Yeah, they're not trying to influence little girls to dress slutty through dolls, they're skipping that step entirely now and going directly for the clothing! D:< I know they're just costumes but c'mon, if you buy this for your kid you're a terrible terrible parent. "But TD!" you say, "I thought you'd like something like this! It's right up your alley!" It's quite the contrary, despite my affinity for drawing cubs in the ridiculously strange and perverted situations I loathe anything remotely nearing the real. It's one of the few things, the few buttons you have to push, to get me riled up and my normally cool blood boiling.

Professor Bob and I decided to go out for a late Wal-mart run around 3am, that alone probably wasn't a good idea but we've never had problems. At least up until now. I got out of the car and Bob stayed in the car because I said something stupid (never mind that xP) but as I turned around some shirtless Eminem wannabe was walking across the mostly empty parking lot and called out "Wanna fight?!" I looked around for a second to see if there was someone else giving him the eye and all that got was "Yeah you! Wanna fight?!" All I could say was "...No, I don't wanna fight." xP Bob got out of the car when he heard me say "No" and hopped out. The guy piped up again asking if there was anyone in the cars nearby, Bob and I told him no, I wasn't sure if he was trying to find someone else to fight or was trying to see if he could get away with going after me. This guy was all hopped up on something, flicking a lighter and being twitchy, I was ready to grab the 21mm wrench I keep in the driver's side door when he decided to keep walking and try to fight people coming out of the store. He even tried to push his chest out to a bread truck xD Anyways, we left, stopped at a stop sign nearby and called the cops. We circled a few times once a cop car drove through, stopping once we saw two coming from around the back of the place. Couldn't see if he was in the back of either car but we assumed if he was in there he probably would've been hogtied with the way he was acting. Gonna check the sheriff's site later and see if they snagged the assmunch, here's hoping his mug's plastered on the list :D Anyways that's uh... it, I'm still tense >.<
