Summer Projects
General | Posted 9 years agoYes, I'm still here. Just preoccupied with life and adulting and stuff.
I do have a few projects that I'll be posting about this summer.
The first is a mystery project that will be revealed soon.
The second and third are new and edited characters that I'll be posting pictures of in the next couple weeks.
The last is a personal fursuit that I'll be working on slowly in my spare time, and another personal suit I'll be finishing later in the summer.
Cons:
Unfortunately I wont be going to any of my usual summer cons this year (sitting in the broke con-lover corner).
Hopefully by the time September rolls around I'll have some money saved up for RF; but until then I'll just be doing suiting stuff in my spare time.
Also; I'm hoping to have more pictures of my new Griffin suit Skreech up as soon as I can get a friend over to help me one of these weekends.
Commission Info:
I am currently open for commissions, though turnover will be a bit slower than usual due to work and life and all that. But if anyone is interested just shoot me an email (its in my profile).
So look forward to some more activity soon. ^_^

Discounted Tails etc!
General | Posted 10 years agoOk, so I'm still here I've just had way too much else to do lately.
But I'm working on suits again and loving it!
The only bad thing is that I'm seriously low on funds. Like, below poverty level low. If I dont get some stuff sold I wont be able to pay my bills.
So I'm doing discounted tails, handpaws, silicon pawpads, and taxidermy eyes and eye blanks.
I've got some extra fur to use so if the tail or handpaws you want utilizes that color I'll discount it even more for you.
Simple tails will start at 10-15$ apiece, not counting shipping cost (usually 5-10$).
Handpaws will start at 30$ and go up from there if they include more than two colors of fur, pawpads, and/or claws.
Silicon pawpads are 10$ for a basic black set, and 15$ for every other color besides white; and footpaw pads are 15$ per set. A set of four (hands and feet) is 20$.
My taxidermy eyes are about 1 and 1/4 inches in diameter and are cast in resin. A pair of blanks will be 7$, a pair of painted eyes 15$.
If you guys could help spread the word I'd really appreciate it!

Just letting everybody know that I'm leaving for BLFC (Biggest Little Fur Con) tomorrow morning.

Pictures from the con will be up hopefully next week sometime.

Further Confusion 2015
General | Posted 11 years agoI know I've been absent from FA for a while, but I'm trying to get back into it. As I'm sure most of you know, Further Confusion 2015 is coming up in about a week, 8 days to be exact. I'm happy to say that I will be there and I'm super excited for the con. My fursona fullsuit is finally finished and I will likely spend the majority of my time at the con running around as a big purple lioness. If you see me feel free to come say hi and get a hug.
I will be posting more pictures here in the future as I do more projects and commissions.
A note about commissions: My prices have now officially gone up and I am no longer giving discounts. I am open to take commissions right now though. There are currently two slots open, including one quadsuit commission slot. If anyone is interested in commissioning a suit from me, please send me an email as I still don't check my messages here super often.
I hope everybody had a great Christmas and New Year.

Fursuit commission discounts
General | Posted 11 years agoHello everybody, I am indeed still alive.
Things have been crazy busy for me lately, but I'm getting back into the swing of things.
I've recently decided to increase my fursuit commission prices, as my techniques have improved vastly since I last adjusted my prices. Before I do this though; I'll be doing a fursuit commission sale, or discount per-say. Here are the basic discounted prices:
Head alone: $200-300 (maximum of three colors and cannot be hyper-realistic in style)
Partial: $300-500 (This includes a head, feet, tail, hands, and arm sleeves)
Fullsuit: $400-600 (Subtle digigrade and plantigrade options)
These prices do not APPLY to quadsuits or quadsuit parts, as that is a very specialized kind of fursuit construction and requires specific skills and materials.
These discounts will only be available until the end of September. So if you're looking for a fursuit for Halloween, start the commission process now.
As of the 1st of October my base prices will all be going up by around $100 each. For base prices: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5970326/
If you are INTERESTED IN commissioning a discount suit from me, please email me at lilamck30[at]gmail.com with a link to a reference sheet, or a VERY detailed description of the character. I will email you back with a (discounted) price quote and a copy of my detail checklist and contract to look over. Any comments or notes I receive here will be replied to with a simple "email me".
A note on artistic liberty suits: I do take artistic liberty suits at a discounted price even when I'm not doing an overall commission discount. However, an artistic liberty suit will be designed by me. The customer can specify the species, and colors (no more than three), and up to one special feature they would like (extra tails, wings, etc.)
So get a discounted suit while you can.
Thanks for reading.

Fursuit commission info
General | Posted 11 years agoHey out there. Do you have a cool fursona that you want to make into a costume? Well I am a professional fursuit maker/costume creator, and my rates are very fair. So if you want a fursuit or quadsuit you can contact me through email at lilamck@sbcglobal.net. And if you personally don't want a suit but you know someone that does, tell them about me, I post pictures of my work here on DA and occasionally on youtube, FA, and Facebook. so if you want a fursuit at a fair price come to me.
My Rates:
Partial fursuit: Head(mask),arm sleeves, hand paws, feet paws, and tail.
$ 400-600+
Full suit fursuit: Head, body suit, feet paws, hand paws, and tail.
$ 500-700+
Quad suit: Head, body suit, special padding, arm stilts, feet paws, and tail.
$800+
Just a Mask: ~ 10 an hour for labor plus 50+ dollars in material cost
Just a tail: ~ 30-50+ depending on complexity.
NOTE: The prices listed here are only rough estimates, for an accurate price quote contact me with info about the character and what kind of suit you want.
My prices may fluctuate depending on the complexity of the character( lots of special markings, antlers, high quality jaw set, etc.) or simplicity of the character(solid color, tooney jaw set, etc.) but those are your basic prices.
The way I charge goes like this; I do not accept cash through mail, I can take payments through checks (cashiers checks or money orders please, though I can accept PERSONAL CHECKS as well), I can also take payments through paypal, though if you are looking to commission a quadsuit or a very complex fursuit, I would prefer a check; in order to avoid paypals transfer limits and charges.
I require the materials charge (usually 200-300$) up front before I start on the costume, then while I work on it I will post regular updates here and in youtube videos if you like(if you don't want your costume shown here or on other websites let me know in advance), then when the costume is done I will need the rest of the total cost, ( I can also do payment plans for small increments over time, but I still need the money for materials up front ) the day I get the last payment in the mail( that same day if it is not too late; if it is, the next day) I will go down to the post office and ship the costume out to you.
I require the customer to pay for shipping costs. If you want your suit shipped express or by next day air; you will be paying the extra cost.
If you would like a price quote send me a note with your email address and I'll send you a checklist to fill out for the parameters of the costume. Once that is filled out and sent back I can give you an accurate price quote. The checklist will also include an ALLERGYwarning, a list of information I will need from you, and my contract.
If you are a minor you will need a parent or legal guardian's signature as well as your own in order to purchase a suit from me.
Thanks for reading and I hope to do BUSINESS with you in the future.

Tattoo Design Help
General | Posted 11 years agoHey everybody. I need some help.
I'm planning on getting a tattoo in the future but I want to get a design of it to put up somewhere that I'll see it every day for a few months at least to make sure I wont get tired of it. Tattoo art is not my forte, so I need some help.
I need someone to draw up my design for me so that it looks professional.
If anyone is interested in helping me out I'm willing to do an art trade.
Comment if you're interested and I'll give you my rough sketch to work with.

Fur scraps for the taking
General | Posted 12 years agoSo because I'll be moving in the next year I need to start consolidating my stuff. I've got a TON of small fur scraps that I need to get rid of. I'm willing to give them away to anyone who is willing to pay the shipping to mail them. That shipping would only be around 20$ depending on how far from California they are going. If no one wants them I'll just end up throwing them away and I'd prefer not to do that if I can help it. The scraps range in size from a few inches to about a foot square. I've got a lot of white and ivory luxury shag (two garbage bags worth), and some short white fox fur. I've also got some three toned brown that I used on the timber wolf quad, some red-brown, and a little bit of black and grey. If anyone is interested please let me know; I'd like to get all of it out of here before the end of the week if I can.
I've also still got some premade tails available, name your price.
Please comment or note me if you're interested.

Premade fursuit head - help
General | Posted 12 years agoHey everybody.
I've been so busy with commissions, cosplay, and cons that I havent had a lot of time for social networking.
But with the spring school semester starting up soon, I'll have a more regular schedule to work with.
I'll probably be moving sometime in the next year, and I'd like to get rid of some fursuit material before then, so I have less to move.
So I'm planning on making a premade fursuit head, and possibly a tail to go with it.
I'd like your help to decide what species I should do.
It will be a realistic/tooney hybrid head; and color will be basically random (I.E. whatever leftover fur I have that I need to get rid of)
What would you like to see?
What would sell well?
etc.
Let me know!

Still Alive!
General | Posted 12 years agoYes, I am still alive; just very busy. School, holidays, and conventions have caused me to neglect my FA account lately. But never fear, I shall be doing more here.
For the next week and a half, I'll be working to finish some fursuits for FC coming up, and doing a tail commission or two, to get some extra con money.
After that, its off to FC; I'll do my best to get pictures and videos up for you guys.
Then its back to school for the spring semester, and its going to be a tough one. I've got a full schedule, which means I may be absent again from fursuit making and art. But I'll do my best to keep up.
In other news, my Noyo fullsuit will be undergoing some alterations. I've recently lost some weight, and now his body suit is too big on me. My Nakatsukasa quadsuit will need to be taken in also, which will be an opportunity to do some other alterations as well. I plan to make more vision ports so that I can see better when suiting, and hopefully put some yellow LEDs behind the eyes so that they glow like I originally wanted.
Thats about it for now. I'm still doing discounted tail commissions if anyone is interested.
I'll post pictures of the FC fursuits in progress during the next week and a half before the con. Then some finished suit pictures before I leave.
So stay tuned.

costume plans
General | Posted 12 years agoLately, I've been so busy that I havent been able to work on the personal costumes I want to.
I think I need to pick which things I want done, rather than trying to do it all.
Cosplay:
My Sam cosplay is basically done; I just have to finish the demon knife replica.
Lan Fan, is only partially done, and I may just do the casual, rather than the full, version for SacAnime.
I'd like to get more use out of my Nakatsukasa quadsuit, before selling it.
I dont think I'll start my Unimon quadsuit until I'm close to ready to sell Naka.
I might also do Medusa from Soul Eater for SacAnime, and if not, for Fanime.
Fursuit:
I still need to refit my Noyo Kangaroo suit before I can wear him again.
My new hyena partial is on its way to being done. I hope to have it finished for FC.
My fursona, Malaika the lioness, is something I'd like to have at least a partial of sometime this year.
I'm also still open for last minute tail commissions, to make some extra money for christmas presents.
I think the things I'll work on during the next two weeks (I'm leaving from the 19th to the 3 or so) will be mostly cosplay stuff.
I just need to finish the handle, paint, and assemble the demon knife from Supernatural.
If I can finish the automail, and get a wig, I can do Lan Fan, in casual dress.

Christmas discount?
General | Posted 12 years agoHey everybody, what are the chances any of you would like to buy a discounted tail commission or a premade head for Christmas? I need a little extra money for gifts for my family this year. So I'm doing discounted tail commissions, and will be making a fursuit head to sell. What kind of head should I make?
Tails can be discounted even more if the fur is a color I have surplus of.
So let me know o lovely watchers of mine!

Fursuit stuff for sale
General | Posted 12 years agoHello all my wonderful watchers.

Updates
General | Posted 13 years agoSorry for falling off the face of the earth for a while there.
I've had a lot to deal with.
Kyuubi has been sold and is on his way to his new home. Hurrah!
I just spent a ton of time and money on Christmas presents.
I'm currently working on four different suits with another on the way soon.
Its finals week and I feel strung out already.
And just the other day I managed to injure my foot bad.
Thankfully I'm up to date on my Tetnis shots, but its getting tiring limping everywhere.
As for cosplay and conventions. I'm planning on going to SacAnime in January and Fanime in May.
I'm going to try and get my Reiji cosplay done in time for SacAnime but if I cant find the time I'll just wait to wear it until Fanime.
I'm hopefully going to FurCon as well in January. I've got a new OC that I'm making a full suit out of to wear there and a little at SacAnime.
He's a green kangaroo. Me and my friend Sora(you know who you are) made him and his brother together. They are brother kangaroo characters with opposite green and yellow markings. We plan to run around in our suits together at SacAnime.
I'll be uploading pictures of them soon.
I'll try to get on here more.
If anybody wants to get a hold of me I check my DA every day.
Thats it for now.

Work Work Work
General | Posted 14 years agoThere is just so much to do.
You know when you turn 18 it seems like the amount of work you have to do and things you have to take care of and remember triples. Ever since I turned 18 its seemed that way.
The new school semester is starting up for me on Monday and I still have a ton of break homework to finish. At least I've got half of it done.
I'm taking new classes including public speaking and statistics, so I'll have a lot of work to do this semester.
Excuse me if I don't update my journal very often.
Although when I'm busy with other things, I somehow find the time to do more artwork as well. Its odd.
But, expect to see it. I'll probably be uploading more artwork here for a little while.
I've also got to get Kyuubi ready to sell, and up on Furbuy.
I will post an official journal when he officially goes up for sale, with a link to the auction.
But first I have to go over the seams, and clean the suit; and I don't know when I'll have time to do that. Probably not for another week or two; I'll be super busy with the start of the semester so I wont really have time next week.
I'm also still open for one full fursuit commission and one quad.
And I'm taking artwork commissions and requests right now if anyone wants to make an offer.
Nothing really big will be happening, like construction on new kyuubi or uri or any cosplay work, until February or March.
I will be going to Fanime in May though so never fear.
As soon as hotel booking opens I'll be reserving my room.
I'm going to go to the Naruto gathering in Kyuubi, and maybe the Soul Eater gathering if there is one as Medusa; I may also go the the Kingdom Hearts gathering as Roxas if I can get the jacket done by then with all the other things I have to do.
Not much else to say other than I'm tired already.
This will probably be the last journal for a while unless something particularly important or interesting happens.
But I will still be online almost every day to check messages and possibly upload some art.
I'm going to bed now.
Thanks for reading.

Selling the Stilt Spirit
General | Posted 14 years agoThats right its a for sale journal.
I'm selling the Stilt Spirit costume to fund the new Kyuubi quadsuit and SacAnime in January.
The suit will be sold as is. Its not quite finished yet.
Here are some pictures of it.
[link]
[link]
I have some other pictures, but I never uploaded them. If you want to see them let me know.
The original designers of these types of costumes are here. [link]
That is also a good video to reference how to wear and move in this type of costume.
Right now I'm taking any offer. But know that the cost to ship this costume will be around 100-200 dollars all by itself.
The costume is built to fit me, but can be modified to fit another.
Right now the costume consists of the head/mask and shell (one collective part), the back stilts, and the front stilts. It does not have any pants/back leg covers, and the front stilts are only half covered with fabric and the back stilts are not covered at all. If someone buys this as is I will send the left over materials I have with it to be finished, so that the fabric color matches, etc. etc.
This costume can actually be worn two ways, the front stilts can be converted, to make it basically a normal quadsuit, where you are standing on your own back feet and leaning foreward on the front stilts. I will sell it as just a normal quadsuit if anyone wants that.
If you personally dont want it, but know someone who might, I would appreciate it if you could pass the word on.
Let me know if You're interested.
I can do payment plans for this if its needed.

Fair Review
General | Posted 14 years agoFor those who dont also follow me on DA; I went to the Dickens Christmas Fair this last weekend.
After I got back from the fair I was swamped with school work.
So I went to the fair dressed as a young gentleman. (thankfully my scarf covered my chest enough that I didnt have to bind)
I'll put up some pictures later when I have the time. (so busy)
I had a great time! I actually ended up dancing with a couple of people at one point.
I met up with Wolftale from DA and her friend; and we hung out for a while.
Then I got a historically accurate and very painful tea burn. the MT seemed amused when he arrived.
So now I have some lovely blisters on my hand, and a new respect for hot tea and its dangers.
I did get ice cream though, and that made me feel better.
The cow palace, where the fair took place, was amazing. First of all its huge, and it was decked out to look like Victorian London in winter. I'll definitely be going again next year, and hopefully taking some friends with me.
In other news, I'm in a bit of a tough spot right now.
I may not be able to afford SacAnime in January. :(
And if I can afford it, I may not have new kyuubi with me there TT___TT
I'm going to be selling the stilt spirit costume in an effort to make up the money, but I dont know if anyone will buy it.
I will also be selling my old kyuubi costume to make money for the materials for the new one.
But even if both these costumes sell; unless I can get the money within the next two weeks, I wont have the time to make the new costume.
So anyone who is interested in buying these costumes, please contact me.
I'll be putting up an official journal about the stilt spirit soon.
Keep your fingers crossed for me!
I really hope I can pull this off.
Sorry for that depressing bit of news.
Not much else to say, other than that I will be extremely busy for the next week. I have finals next week. *dies*
So I'm no longer taking art commissions, trades, and requests. I am, however, still accepting one fursuit commission.
After that, I will be closed for fursuit commissions also. Note: I do not do rush orders for the holidays, sorry.

I'm Back
General | Posted 14 years agoFinally, that was a long ass drive!
But I'm back from LA now!! yay!!
Thanksgiving was great! There was so much food! And even more people. Seriously, there were 27 people there!!
And we managed to feed all of them!
I had a ton of fun in LA; I was just so sad to leave.
Being there again helped me to realize how much I really want to go to school down there. So in two and a half years or so I'll be moving down to LA. I'm going to finish my GE at my local community college, and then go down to one of the movie studio-sponsored colleges in LA. The movie production studios sponsor the colleges and hire right out of specific classes; its the perfect way to get the training and the oportunities I need to break into the movie business. I want to be a costume/prop maker/designer; I'm still not sure which one I want to do more. Costuming is great, but I'm afraid if it becomes my work I wont like it anymore, and I love props! So we'll see what happens there. I'll also be majoring in Psychology, so that I can get a regular job as a councilor or therapist. I want to help people. And it really helped me to just have someone other than my family and friends to talk to, I want to help others like that. Plus its a job that will be steady and pay the bills, which costume making will not. My dreams have come alive again, I really hope that I can break into the movie business someday. My ultimate dream is to be a director, but I'm not going to get my hopes up to high for that; I'll settle for being a part, even a small one, of the amazing movie making process.
Ok enough of me rambling about my dreams.
Current events:
I'm still open for one partial and one full, fursuit commission.
I'm also still open for art commissions, trades, and requests.
I'll be continuing with the next part of my seven deadly sins dragons project, wrath, as soon as I can find the time.
The Dickens Christmas Faire is in a few weeks; and I still need to finish my costume! All thats left is my waistcoat.
I will be selling the stilt spirit costume; I'll be putting information about it up here, DA, and youtube later this week. It will be sold as is (only partially finished) I may finish it for the buyer, if they are willing to pay for the labor to finish it.
I will be registering and booking my hotel room for Fanime 2012 (runs to check if registration is open yet)... as soon as registration opens. O.O (waiting)
SacAnime Winter is about 60% planned at this point (still waiting to see if a couple of people will be coming with me or not) But I will definitely be going unless I need the money for something else. (hopefully the stilt spirit will sell and I wont have to worry about it)
I'm behind on homework right now, so I may not be online very much until Wednesday or later. But I'm doing my yoga class tomorrow, so that should de-stress me a bit. ^_^
Not much else to say right now.
Thanks for reading.
Live long and prosper...
May the force be with you...
