So aside from Pokemon GO walking, I also partake in regular ol' eastern monster hunting. Namely, the new Monster Hunter game. I've played EVERY SINGLE generation of Monster Hunter and this one brings all the feels. ;u;

"Hydrocephalus is a build-up of fluid on the brain. The excess fluid puts pressure on the brain, which can damage it. The damage to the brain can cause a wide range of symptoms, including: headache, being sick, blurred vision and difficulty walking, amongst other symptoms. Hydrocephalus can usually be treated using a piece of equipment known as a shunt. This is a thin tube that's surgically implanted in the brain and drains away the excess fluid. If left untreated, hydrocephalus can be fatal." - NHS Choices

So every September is Hydrocephalus Awareness Month! Not many people know about it so, I aim to make this journal in the hopes that it'll prompt people to ask more questions about the condition! I myself, have normal-pressure Hydrocephalus -- I was diagnosed before I was born, and fitted with my first shunt at just 18 months old. Since then I have only been in hospital to have it replaced three times (I'm 22). Hydrocephalus for some, can be a seriously debilitating condition that can impair mental capacity and leave a person unable to walk, or talk. There is no cure, and the condition can only be managed.

My aim this year is to raise awareness in my workplace by making an infographic, and also to have a piece commissioned of Ruairi wearing a pin to show her support on FurAffinity, too.
