General | Posted 15 years agoMRI results are back... it's a herniated disc. Last one, between the L5 and S1 vertebrae.\
Not that this is a particular surprise; an MRI back in 2006 confirmed exactly the same thing. So, I get to go meet up with a neurosurgeon on Friday to discuss my options. Gonna try to avoid surgery at least for now; maybe now that they actually KNOW what's wrong, they can treat it through things like physical therapy. Hopefully.

General | Posted 15 years agoI've decided I'm going to start taking commissions, both for the various things I've already made, and for new things too... so, here we go:
* Paw pillows: $60 each, if you use this shape (whatever colors you want). $70 if you want me to add soft stuffed "claws." Note me with details first, so I can see if I can find the right color of fur. If you want a different shape or pawpad pattern, I can design that; note me and we'll talk.
* Plush anything: price depends entirely on size and complexity; note me with details and I'll get back to you with a price. I can do plush critters, but I've never done one yet. Examples of other plush I've made are in my gallery, like this and this and this too. I can make the plush out of fur or fleece; fleece is cheaper. Also, some colors of fur may not be available to me, but I'll look.
* Specific plush: The plush pop kun is not for sale, as it's a Konami-copyrighted character. I think i can get away with selling copies of the plush IIDX controller, however, since it's not a character. $40 for those. They really do take quite a long time.
* Character bathrobe: Starts at $50, more if it's complex. I've made one bathrobe that is made up to look like a furry character, complete with a tail. Think of these as kigurumi pajamas without the hood, and of course as an open bathrobe, not a closed-pants pajama. Made of cotton terrycloth if I can find the colors, otherwise I could make it out of fleece as well.
* Paw slippers: $35-50 per pair (estimate). I'll probably be coming up with a paw slipper design some time in the near future. If you're really interested in being a guinea pig for them, note me and I'll see what kind of discount I can come up with for letting me experiment on you <3

I'd like to see several different designs before deciding on something to put on my suit. If anyone wants to sell me a commission, that would be fine too. Also, I ate dinner at a place that serves all-you-can-eat steak and meat and such. God it was amazing. My tummy's still recovering *grumble*
met tons of new people, pretty much all texas natives who are friends of jesper and silvy, who were wonderful roommates. Would definitely room with them again.
Made a point of being a little more outgoing in suit, and between that and the con being much smaller, my suit was much better received than it was at FC, at least judging by the number of hugs I got. I remember one specific person whom I hugged at least 5 times because I kept running into him <3
I think I spent about 1/3 of my time I was awake in my fursuit. It was wonderful.

General | Posted 17 years agoSo, I am going to be building a batch of adapters that'll let you plug Playstation controllers (and some others) into your computer. This uses the PC's parallel or "printer" port, so it'll only work on PCs with a parallel port, and not on macs at all, since they've never had that port. These require downloading drivers which are easy-to-find freeware (I'll direct you where). They show up as standard joysticks as far as windows (or linux if you so desire) is concerned, so you can use them for any game that supports joysticks, or use them with emulators.
These are better than commercial USB adapters because they have no "lag." In fact, they're about 10ms faster than even a PS2 keyboard.

Playstation (1 or 2): $12 for one player, $18 for two players.
