ohmygosh-ohmygosh-ohmygosh!!
General | Posted 11 years agoI have been a heeyuuuuuge X-men fan since I was 13. I saw the first Cartoons, and I had read the comics. I had even had a major crush on one character named "wolfsbane" She was a teen with an unrequited love for another character and felt unloved and forever alone, I could resonate with that so much. Back to point. A new trailer for the new X-men: Days of future past has been released and my god, I am so far past "shut up and take my money" that it hurts. I am totally stoked for this movie to release.

General | Posted 12 years agoTo anyone who cares..
General | Posted 12 years agoThank you. To all of my watchers, Thank you too. To my friends, whether here, or IMs, thank you thank you thank you.
Valentines has passed, and it's taken me a good while to gather my thoughts and the courage to do this in all seriousness. Last Friday I was fully prepared to be in a "Go die in a nuclear fire" attitude. I don't mind being single, I figure I'm in the undateable category anyway might as well make the best of what I have. I hate V day for the fact that it seems we NEED a day as a reason to tell them we appreciate their presence and company. Then there are those " Ugh.. I gotta get so and so a card and flowers.. " Hey if you reaaaally don't want to do that I can take her on a date then, how about that?! :p
Back on topic though. I was prepared to just hate the entire evening and ridicule myself for even volunteering to show up at karaoke. when a woman I've known for years approached. In the end of her talk she said " thank you, for just being you," and my god I felt loved and appreciated for the first time in life. I know that my family loves me, and I have close friends here, in IMs, on Seconds life. but a lot of times being text or an av you kind of take that for granted now and then. so this is why I am typing this.
those who I've met on any version of presence, I love you. I really do. those whom I've hurt. I still love you and I am terribly sorry, but to anyone who knows me, and anyone I know. Thank you, and I love you. thank you for accepting me as a friend, not caring whether I'm in a male av or female in Second life, for not questioning it and just letting me be me. Thank you, I love you : 3

General | Posted 12 years agoSince I was a child in the late 80's I've been a fan of Robocop. I loved the first movie to no end. The 80's were a strange decade of toys for kids based upon adult movies. We had Kenner make toy lines of : Aliens, predator, aliens vs. predator, Terminator, and Robocop. To this day I still have my little robocop figure, he had a light blue squad car with a missile launcher too. I could never find his mortal enemy, the ED-209. Well recently NECA released a big version scaled for their 7 inch robocop figures. I may not have one but I do have my slightly older McFarlane toys robocop, and good god it looks neat with Murphey standing face to face with this monster robot.
A not so merry Christmas
General | Posted 12 years agoIt started like any other regular Christmas. Last year my uncle who'se been basically homeless, took a trip up to Montana to crash/ live with us. Most of my life it's been mother and I at any point, so havi g a family has always been a some what alien concept to me. We took him in and gave him a little tour of our lives and activities. From my singing kareoke to mom making and handing out greeting cards as a hobby.
Christmas afternoon while mom was out enjoying some quality time with church friends. My elderly uncle has tripped / slipped hit his head (apparently upon the pantry door) and fallen in our hallway. We shared a single most frightening time together. Though he didn't want me to call and disturb anybody. I should have regardless...
Now I sit near him and mother in a hospital and he doesn't have long left. His health is atrocious, kidneys about to fail, heart failure, lungs aren't great. There really isn't much we can do if his condition doesn't improve the doctor just said. So it's a waiting game. So... Yeah prognosis doesn't look good and I don't know what else to say.
: edit. : he's aware of the terms, basically he's kind hooked to a breathing apparatus but he himself says that if he has to spend a prolonged time on it he doesn't want to. I can totally relate though. If I'm facing death like that just smother me with a pillow or something.

General | Posted 12 years agoTank Slayaahhhh!!!
General | Posted 12 years agoPlaying GTA online again and I was trying my hand at the lock on aiming of the buzzard attack helicopter. dome dude with a tank shot me down. so yeah victory is his. but this isn't good enough he rolls over and shoots me again.... and again.. I don't have any RPGs or other really large effective weapons like that. so I start throwing my sticky bombs it. pretty soon it started to look like it was decorated by clinking christmas lights. But to no avail. I detonated them and nothing happened. I was killed yet again. I start to wander off defeated and the friggan tank STILL follows. I'm really getting frustrated. I lean against a pillar to a building watching him roll up clumsily. toss about 2 or 3 more sticky bombs, which turned out to be my very last ones too. I'm the type that looks at my inventory thinking, " hmmm... 15 sticky bombs.. I'm getting low. ". And I detonate them. Booom! the tank is down.. I was charged $1875 and told I was being a bad sport because I destroyed his personal vehicle. Gladly paid and accepted!
GTA Online
General | Posted 12 years agoTales To Astonish Bemuse..
In an attempt to make some money by selling a car at the Los santos customs near the bottom left of the map. Sale was successful but after depositing the money I saw a player icon start approaching. I thought I better get out of reach and I climbed a nearby building with ladder access being one of few angles to get up. there I am huddled like a scared bunny in a hallowed out tree stump watching the player icon circle the building several times over looking for a vantage point. I dare not peek lest he shoot. but I have set up a home alone style trap. 1 sticky bomb near the top of the ladder upon the far ledge of the roof. Sure enough I hear him climbing. "tink tink tink tink " Annnd Kaboom. He suddenly sky rocketed upward and I ran for my ever loving life.
Later.. on the same building after completing yet another sales transaction of a stolen vehicle comes someone, this time I have passive mode on and proudly stand at the building's edge giving the rock on sign \m/. he fires.. again and again to no avail. suddenly he thinks of a scheme.. an evil tricky scheme. He throws a sticky bomb and detonates it in the air near me. I am unharmed, but the bomb exploded a propane tank he happens to be standing near and dies horribly.
Just a moment later, I hear someone talking on the chatter. "ooh, that's a nice bike.. I would hate to see something happen to it. " I reply. " ha ha, spoken like a true creeper." A couple seconds later the game informs me ' your personal vehicle has been destroyed' and I hear. " Aw dude, how'd I get a bad sport?!" Again I reply. 'Because that was my bike you destroyed," ' oh.. well you should have told me it was your bike. '

General | Posted 12 years agoLast week our town's hot topic had a drawing for a figure of vinyl scratch exclusive from comic con. With a neat light up base. I signed a ticket and asked mom to as well. She signed one with the logic " sure, I've signed your name for many other contests before". Y'all... She won! Oh my gosh this is fantastic, we rarely win anything! I'm so happy, it's like fate gave me a birthday gift too.
Operation: Birthday is go!
General | Posted 12 years agoSo I've been gearing up for my birthday in two more days, Yes I know I'm getting to be far too old to look forward to them. But I've always been young at heart. So I picked up my birthday present, a nifty play arts Kai figure of the joker. I know I got him early, but he's the kind of excellent figure that would be swooped upon quick and I had to do the swooping for once.. and today I picked up a great favorite birthday cake for half off at the grocery store, yay!
I.. can't breathe!!

What the hell, Capcom?!
General | Posted 12 years agoI should have seen this coming a mile away, but those nostalgia goggles are pretty foggy sometimes.
I have been wanting to pick up Ducktales Remastered for some time. I was holding out to get the retail copy exclusive on the PS3. Kind of like the way I got back to the future. it was fantastic. all 5 eps of that on one disc. A great game I would have gladly paid extra to get for a physical copy.
And then.. I purchase Ducktales (woo hoo, oh c'mon you were thinking it! ) you pay $20 bucks for the case and a collector's pin of Scrooge. That's. It. you still have to download the game... Gee thanks for saving me room for memory on my Ps3 with a physical copy of the disc you were promising in retail, oops psych! Dammit Capcom, just when you were beginning to earn cool points again in my book.

Look out, Otters!
General | Posted 12 years agoSo in our local news, we have reports of "Vicious Otter" attacks. two words I have never thought I would see next to each other in context. Woman was tubing down the Madison river, and I assume an otter was protecting her pups. And I feel bad, because while part of me thinks. " aw , that sucks. " another larger part of me is like " that must have been the most adorable mauling ever!
Reportedly it left significant bites. the other part of me keeps returning to the Monty Python Rabbit bit. " That's no mere rabbit! " So now the FWP are putting up " danger vicious otter" signs near the reported attack. Also, I am convinced Vicious otters would be an awesome band name.

the last of Feels
General | Posted 12 years agoI dunno anymore, man.
This year is a strong one with best of possibilities and it's only half done! D:
First was Tomb raider, in which I fell in love with a girl ( I fell in love at once and almost completely) And then they force me to watch her die in multiple brutal ways.
Then was Bioshock infinite. oh man.. what can't I say about that!?
And now. The last of us. dude.... This game grabbed me and held on firmly within the first few minutes of the game. And then in the first few minutes I cried. I don't recall any characters I've found that endearing that damn fast! Easily some of the best graphics I have ever witnessed, with some fantastic top notch story telling. Is it coincidence that Troy Baker played the protagonist in both Bioshock infinite AND Last of us? I don't know but I'm all the more appreciative. but yeah. I am out of feels.. I need a moment to construct some more.. or just duct tape some of the shattered old ones... Anybody have some super glue?

General | Posted 12 years agoIs it me or....
General | Posted 12 years agoI realize I'm probably sticking my head out just to get it bitten off like " guh, you're so stupid! " etc. etc. But is it me or has the super Mario games become fall off a log easy?
*senses pitchforks torches and other mob-like impliments* Hear me out! Remember the first super Mario? How you felt like a genius when you knew where one 1up was, or even the warp pipes? How if you were really good you had double digits in extra lives, like in the teens at the most. The. Super Mario two (later dubbed super Mario USA) it added a whole new level of fun and characters.
Last week I picked up Super Mario 3d land. By world 8 I had 43 extra lives.
It gives you an extra life each time you touch the top of a flag pole. Should you dork around and actually die a few times they give you a tanuki suit infused with invincibility. And even then if you fall off a cliff a few more times or touch lava or some other one hit kill obstacles it gives you a p wing that can wisk you to the end of the level to progress.
So the only challenge I've come is finding the large coins. Which to me counts more as an Easter egg hunt and less gameplay. But who knows, I might be in the wrong. I didn't play it in hardcore mode and go through it in one sitting.
So opinion time, (kind of like adventure time but less exciting? What do you think? Do note I never said I hated it, I had fun playing it and it had some interesting enemies.
[edit] please keep it friendly ^_^

General | Posted 12 years agoSo it's after the furmeet where I'm at a streetlight waiting for the green in town, when I notice .. Fuckin' BEES!! Bees everywhere. Largest swarm I have ever seen of them without question. One bee even landed on my wind shield like "'sup?". I have never been so glad to not have a convertable then that moment. O.o
