I was watching a review I like to watch fairly regularly, and they played a video from this band. I was like "who is this?.. They're pretty good. not only that but they had the strangest name I had ever heard. " Steam Powered Giraffe. " they're a band hailing from San Diego who pantomimes musical singing robots. I guess my childhood love of robots still remains intact. I've been watching their videos on youtube every night since. From live concerts to their own music videos.

oh yes it's 80's night.. and the feeling's right. Yes it's 80's night oh what a night!

So I just got back from an 80's night party. There was 80's songs, 80's dress up, and 80's themed prizes.
For the limbo competition there was a pair of suspenders. my guess would be that they were rainbow. There was a trivia, of which I saw someone cheating and looking up answers on her smart phone. tsk tsk tsk. In the end with no smart phoney help I won! And got a nifty set of Smurf Glasses! Even the glass is blue!! And the costume contest winner was a pac man blanket. Ironicly after I had sang pac-man fever. The song I ended with was Mr. Roboto and even did my own version of a robot performance inspired by Steam Powered Giraffe! youtube these guys, I kid you not Steam powered Giraffe has talent and some great stage presence and performance for their songs.

Ever get some saccharine sweet song stuck in your head and it just plays over and over? Yeah.. " Call Me Maybe" is mine.. Don't get me wrong, I'm far from the whole life is pain emo rock listener. I like bouncy happy songs, making me think I should have been a rabbit sometimes, but this one is just ripe with not that great of a song qualities. But there are tons of people who are regarding it as the best thing in a long time. Which probably is another step towards hipster lifestyle. I dislike the song as a whole and yet I listen to it and part of me likes it too. Mostly if I just ignore the lyrics and focus on the music and beat.

I still don't have a Pc, still using my lap top. I miss my pc.. poor lappy doesn't import music onto iTunes as fast at all. which makes it a bit of a pain since my main iTunes was registered to the pc..I bought Tenacious D Rize of the Fenix today. I love the D and other novelty Rock like Spinal Tap and DethKlok. I get it onto iTunes.. and download the album artwork.. was is supposed to be a pheonix that's unashamedly shaped like a cock ( this IS the D we're talking about) is blurred beyond belief. lol this was why I got the explicit version so that it would be uncensored in all it's filthy depraved glory. :p

George Lucas I think has every right to think we fans are complete assholes to him. But the thing he's looking over is that he should quit giving us so much ammo!! With every new inception of star wars I keep trying to retain that child like love of the series, but lately I can't even enjoy that I feel.

Latest example Star wars kinect. Now yes, the game is bad.. we all knew it would be when at E3 the demonstration wasn't even live. It was some dude acting out what the character was doing to give the impression it was live. But they added a dancing mini-game to it. with spoof songs.. instead " ridin' solo they turn it into "Han solo" instead of Hollaback girl. they turn it to " Hologram girl" the merchandising is so bad at this point. Spaceballs used to joke about that, now they've become an exaggeration of the Joke spaceballs came up with.

I went to see the Lion King in 3D. It was so fantastic. I laughed, I cried, I sang along. <.< I found a compact disc of the best of the Coasters. a group I was told was out of print, when I was looking for them earlier in the year. Pure awesome. I had some Carrot cake cupcakes. it was nice and chill. :) Thanks to you all for the Birthday Wishes!

:Tyger: I have a select list of Anime in my "favorites" list. I'm horrendously picky. I never got into Naruto, full metal alchemist, one piece or the lot. Hell, I just watched some of my first experiences with Trigun. I enjoyed a lot from a Texas residing company called A.D.V. Anime like Devil Hunter Yokho, Dirty pair, Rune Soldier and of course Gunsmith Cats. Gunsmith Cats, based upon the Manga by Kenichi Sonoda, stars pistol packing bounty hunter (and gun shop owner!) Rally Vincent and her partner Minnie May Hopkins. (A bit of a scary girl who's an expert in explosives. Typically carrying grenades)

What sets this anime different than most others I've seen that take place in our known world, is that it takes place in Chicago Illinois. I know right?! They had their animators take a tour of the city to get a feel for the architecture. Rally's car is even a smoking hot Shelby GT-500. All I saw was an Three episode O A V. The story starting off with a guy from the A.T.F. "convincing" Rally to work with him, as she doesn't have the class 3 license to operate the gun store. Not sure why, I would suppose it expired.. Anywho she's talked into helping stop a gun running operation that gets in someone's side, who then hires a psychotic Russian assassin to try to take them out. the voice acting is very well done. :Tygra: and lots of gun fire action scenes! Pew pew!
