Yeah, that last journal was an April Fools Joke, to anyone who is still worried about McInTots :P

Apparently I'm being sued for copyright infringement by creator Dan Santat and Disney for similarities between McInTots and the Disney channel property "The Replacements." I've been sent a cease-and-desist order and all production of McInTots is to stop immediately.

Well, this ruins my weekend.

Anyway, some things I wanted to add as well, but got too excited and hit GO before I could think of them.

1. I think I might actually prefer the game to be a 2D, top-view (think Mega Man Battle Network) kinda view with cute little McInTots sprites. This option is also WAY more doable, as 3D cel-shaded renderings would have to be... well done to not look like FUCK. I'm not ruling out a 3D cel-shaded version (either a 3D redo or a sequel) ever coming into existence, I'm just saying it would require much more, so for the time being, at least, there will be the top-view 2D version. This is also compounded by the fact that I'd LOVE to see this game on DS, but if just computer, that's fine, too. (yes, i'm aware the 3D version would be fine on DS as well :P)

2. This game would most likely NOT be canon, but be set in a canon setting, during the Spring semester of 2016 (second half of school before summer camp in Season 3). If I decide to make this canon somehow, I might try fitting in things that would kinda... supplement the information the season 3 Flashbacks are going to be doing covering this un-comicked portion of time.

The idea I see in my head would have your custom character walk around in 3D, cel-shaded space, now that I've seen that 3D cel-shaded renderings of 2D art CAN look great. You'd be able to explore places like the school, parts of the neighborhood (that you're allowed to go n__n), other kids' homes once you are allowed to come over, even explore your own new home (probably a save point or options menu there somewhere).

Friendship among the kids would be achieved in various ways, be it talking to them, playing games with them, doing nice things for them, etc. Just about any interaction like you make friends in real life. You COULD earn friendship simply by JUST talking, but that doesn't work on ALL the cubs, maybe just Izzy. In order to build a STRONG relationship with each kid, you'd need to exercise MOST or ALL forms of interactivity available to you in the game.

Quests, I guess, would be things like if you pay enough attention to their likes, dislikes, conversations and such, you could figure out (on your own or with a togglable hint option) what would be a nice thing to do for that person and go off and either do it yourself or with the help of any friends you've acquired in order to boost your friendship in a big way, but these would be optional.

I'm asking again because I have a considerable amount of new people watching me now.

If there was ever a video game based on McInTots, what would YOU like to see it be?

The reason I ask is because I have several fans around me who at least claim to be able to create games on some level and ask me what I'd like to do regarding a McInTots video game. I can hardly ever come up with anything outside of this one idea that I still like:

A friendship simulator.

It's like a dating simulator, but instead of DATING characters, you become friends with them. You start out as a kid you customize yourself then you're introduced as the new kid in Tay, Izzy, Scooter and Jules' class. You have to become friends with all 6 kids, including Becky (outside of school and recess and stuff) and (hardest) Rex. Each kid would have their own level of friend difficulty (how hard it would be to become their friend) probably along the lines of (from easiest to hardest): Izzy (she's so friendly), Jules (she's REALLY friendly lol), Scooter (shy, but friendly), Tay (don't get hurt), Becky (cynical maybe and not in your class) and finally Rex (no comment lol).

Once you become friends with all 6 kids, the second half of the game begins which is having fun times and adventures with them, like in the comic.

Anyway, that's the only SOLID idea I can come up with that plops you RIGHT in the middle of what makes McInTots lovable.

So, my new computer exists, and it's in my possession. I've had it for about two weeks now, setting everything up. Still don't have access to a scanner at present, but that isn't stopping me from producing more McInTots pages.

Also I wanted to point out that since the last page was put up the new My Little Pony has risen to an insane level of popularity (i fully understand as I think it's adorable beyond compare :3). My reason for mentioning this is I don't want people to think that BECAUSE of the new MLP culture, that's why I've inserted an (upcoming) adorable pony girl into McInTots. Not that IRC isn't still around, but I've been a part of IRC channels for like years at a time and they all eventually fade away. Well, as temporary as they can be, I ache to be part of one again, one with not so many idlers though.

 gradylwilliams is moving into a new place, and new living situation (for the better) in January, so that's nice for him. However, he'll have a place for his computer, so once the new year rolls in, I'll be without a computer until I get a new one.

I'll try my best to keep in contact with whoever needs me to until then. But hey, Donut Kitty Productions gets a new office in May/June, so yay!

You're in for a treat in the future.  gradylwilliams and I are working out the entirety of Edo Tails and what we're creating is such a crazy story for you guys. I hope you all enjoy it.

Basically, a LOT of it is being reworked, though not changing the story from what you've read so far. The art is all drawn better, though. I've gone through and redrawn (and digitally inked) all the old pages, so now everything matches the later style. Volume 1 will come out something in 2011 (we're hoping) and it'll have much more than what you read.

The past week has been pretty awful. Thursday through Sunday, Lillie, Grady and I worked our asses off at Oni-Con in Houston. We had fun, but worked SO hard that the next morning, we were all VERY sick and Lillie became hospitalized. Yay.

She's fine now, but all this crap is why there hasn't been any new updates or anything. It's just been awful. Fucking awful. And now, I go back to work tomorrow (yey) so no more vacation. Bleh.
