Posted 3 years agoDecided to check in here, suprised I still get favs and watches over my old crap. I kinda moved on to doing twitch stuff at twich.tv/typhon_plume
I've also been married for 5 years, living in Australia for the last 3, delt with Covid in the house recently (yes everyone here is fully vaxxed with boosters already)
As well as a failing computer.
As for the lack of art on my part... lost all the assests and programs I use in a external HD crash a long time ago.
As for my lack of involvement in FA, the whole IMVU thing was the final nail in the coffin for me here. As IMVU's poilcies still stand that they will steal and resell art from partnered sites, and hide that fact in the contracting so they can get away with it legally. I know it's likely in the past now, but there is nothing in FAs sorted past that say such a situation that would affect artists will never repeat.

The feet of religion wtf o.O
Posted 10 years agoOkay now this happened at work, over a week ago, and yea management gave me a slap on the wrist over it. Still this is the most what the fuck just happened moment in my life.
Okay a guy came in barefoot, meaning no sandles, no shoes, nada... only piercings on his feet. He had a shirt on that basically said fuck religion, more piercings, tattoos and well didn't look overall like a model guy. Not that it matters to me still....
Now we have roller grills there so you think the health department thing about needing shoes around exposed food that is cooking would apply here. Which is what I mentioned to him, just doing my job there is all. no big deal or anything like that.
Next thing I know is that he goes off on me and makes a scene about religious rights and then a few more minutes in to it how he has a disability as well. So apparently i am discriminating against his religion and the disabled.... just for telling him he needs to wear shoes here.
Hey makes a royal scene about it, and even pulls out paperwork he claims is from health officials and such to support him. The documents look real but there is no state or city seal on them, which would be normal for such documents.
I do eventually tell him I will call the cops only cause he is making a scene over it, and I did try to assure him that religion has nothing to do with it. Now on a side note i been researching some things and I found a website form something called Ahcuah.
Apparently Ahcuah is one of these new age religions that is centered around barefeet. Apparently founded in 1994 in Columbus Ohio. with nothing else going for it. The person on who runs the website even noted court case after court case where he attempted to legalize barefeet being allowed in numerous places only to fail each and every time.
Looking at the documents he released on those cases, the court noted how a lifestyle choice is not a religion and will never be seen as such. That is something I can understand personally. As such it maes me wonder if this is just a whack job thing in the end. Mind you i have nothing against folks who want to go around barefoot, but still... there is such a thing as going nuts over it.

Posted 10 years agogood new for me... I got a chance a promotion at work that means more money....
Bad new I need to secure at least a 49cc scooter that will cost me about $800 USD to do it..... which I don;t have.
Manager is shooting for me to get it, which is nice but I got no idea how in the world I am going to get the money together fast enough to get he scooter so I have the basic transportation that is needed for the position.

The one I live attempted to break one of my arms, litterly.
My truck got impounded, and we can't afford to get it out.
I got fines now which I need to pay off before i can get another vehicle for myself.
Eh I'm just going to end it here.... life is too much of a train wreck for me as is currently....

Your account will time out if you go on hitus form the sight, RL reasons are not a good reason. (Military deployment is not a good excuse)
You will have to pay to get everything back like it is a new account.

Now before folks wonder if the finger part is true, well I did have a account with them back when they where still fairly new, but as I was off of them for more then a month once. Well I lost it, and there admin did literately tell me FU where not helping you get it back. even after I sunk back then, as I could afford it, what might have been $400 in to it.

Posted 10 years agoJust picked it u on steam, I was wondering if anyone knows if they deveoped furry avatars I could try out for it yet or if there is a group for talking about such out there. So far all I know is the steam workshop and a group on there, but that seems to be about it.

Recent things on TV I found interesting.

My Little pony, at first I thought kiddy then someone had me watch the episode with that shape changing queen. The plot line was supprisingly mature for a kids show, and that got me hooked.
Legends of Chima
While the concepts of Chi and the like is not new, the basic idea kind of reminds me of what I like about early cartoons. Ones that have story lines that continue from episode to episode and how the main character's actions can have consequences that affect him in a bad way. A example is Level being exiled from the region for a while. The music is also well done and thought out.
Well that's it for recent stuff, but there is likely more I am not recalling.

EverQuest 2
I know it's the obvious one, and while unintentional the guild I run wound up being mostly furs and all of them decent people with a good community building mindset.
Landmark Beta
It's mindcraft with tiny voxels, and you can make things round for lots of pretty builds and such.
Games I would like to enjoy..
Elder Scrolls Online
Bought it ahead of time but due to my connection speed the installer is taking forever, as such not likely going to get on it anytime soon.
Dragon's Prophet
For the same reason as ESO. Though I was there for the open Beta.

Mobile Hotspot Modems
Posted 11 years agoFor the last couple of months I have been getting on line via Mobile WIFI Cellular modems. So far here is what I experienced.
Device used: There current dedicated WiFI modem.
Method supported: WiFI connections only.
Pro: Dedicated 4G lte network
Con: 70/month USD, network is unreliable even a area they own, and they have a hard data limit of 10GB at that price. If you go over they lower it to about the same speed as a 56k baud modem.
Overall opinion: Not a bad service all in all, but not for one if your on a budget, as if you want say 100+GB per month you need to pay close to $200 a month. Customer Support is also highly lacking. Gaming and streaming is highly unrecommended, as they will crash... a lot.
Device used: Samsung Galaxy Victory 4g LTE, Android 4.1 operating system
Method Supported: Both USB and Wifi, even Bluetooth via PDANet and FoxFi (one time registration cost), I prefer USB connection personally
Pro: 4g LTE network with 3G backwards compatibility. Cost is $35 a month, no contract plan for normal Cell phone use.
Con: There is a data limit of 2.6GB per month like T-Mobile, Need to download and install a program for your computer as well to use it properly. Not all phones, like mine, support wifi hotspot usage. A phone call will knock you offline. Also the PDANet software in a PC (Win 8 in my case) does derp out occasionally, but resetting the computer helps solve that issue.
Overall opinion: Oddly this one is faster then even the T-mobile service when the data limit is reached, and uses the Sprint Network. As such I been able to play some demanding games like TF2, and even my fave EQ2 with almost zero lag issues, even when it drops down to 3g. Budgeting for me wise this fits my needs currently quite well as well. Heck I even been able to use the apps on it that require network usage at the same time with zero problems.
Now I know there are others I have not looking in to however pricing ise Virgin Mobile is the cheapest one out there for a starting monthly cost. All one needs to do is buy the phone and the phone I have only cost me $120 USD. So for now this will work me. If anyone has any suggestions

So about my car...
Posted 11 years agoOkay last oct/sep my car broke down and I had to leave it in some store's parking lote. I recently came in to the money to get it fixed... Folks told me to forget it as it likely got towed by now... but I go and check anyway.
To my surprise the car, while somewhat buried in snow, is still there!
So as for now, AAA membership has been secured for a free tow, now I just need to get it to a mechanic. Luckly the guy at the locak midas says he is willing to work on it, as he agrees with me it should be a simple starter issue. So here is hopeing it will be that easy a fix. As right now after all the crap karma I have had, it's nice to have something good happen right?
Shame I can't find a mate with this luck... but eh time to plan on calling walmart and see if I can get a 2nd job with them as well. SO when all my dental work is done I should have the money to move in to a normal apartment with normal internet again...
And not have to worry about turning my cellphone in to a USB broadband modem when I want to get online.

A medical review of my life...
Posted 11 years agoEyes are about blind without the contacts.
Minor hearing loss in one ear.
Finger tip that was sewn back on still feels weird.
Learned the back pain is from a spinal disease.
Had the 2 lower wisdom teeth removed when I was in the Navy.
Had 3 teeth removed recently, 1 upper wisdom, 1 impacted upper, and one of the back teeth on the jaw near the back (back one on that side is on it's own now), all from the same side of my face.
Well I guess it could be worse. I'm not considered to be disabled or anything like that yet.

Posted 12 years agoI will admit the holiday season tends to be a depressing time for me. Mostly for a few reasons.
It makes me remember loved ones and friends lost to me that I will never see again.
It also reminds me how alone I am in RL, especially since I still live in the VA controlled shelter.
It reminds me of commitment issues I have when it comes to finding a mate... which I will admit is the first time I admitted to this... and I know the reason is likely due to numerous rejections, 2 mates leaving me and a few other things in my past.
How I never seen my nephews, let along family in several years, minus through facebook... and the internet is not the same as seeing them in person.
How I smile and say things like happy holidays to friends at work, as well as customers... but how I am not sure I believe it myself.
So yea this is likely just a rant in the end but eh this is how I am from november till mid febuary.. as the holidays most celebrated during that time range, involve spending time with family, friends and loved ones.... something i have not done in years.

Posted 12 years agoJust wanted to note that my mom just passed away earlier today. Sad part is that I live in Ohio and she with my brother's family live down near New Orleans. He and his family are talking about me moving in with them long term for reasons I agree with.. but it's not going to happen anytime soon as I need to save up the money to not only support the move, but I also got to take care of the medical stuff on my end as well.

I got a spinal disease of the lower back, which explains my poor posture, and other back problems! Well luckly it's been caught in time to be minor for the moment, but worse comes to worse, surgery and wheelchairs are in my future......

Till the 14th you can get a lvl 85 character to try out heroic level content, if your F2P, you will still need to pay for it after the 14th.
Recent content can be unlocked via in game SC, and subscribed members get a boost to speed and earned coin in game.
Well that summerizes the major stuff. I will admit it's a nice change in the long run as it's closer to a model they need to help attract new players. Still if anyone is interested in some support on there, feel free to look me up on the antonia bayle server under Sharisnarr usually these days.

The source is a lore book in a few Elder Scrolls games which has quotes in it that even condone rape, as such never taken seriously outside the game. Heck the book isn't taken seriously in the game either.
Still if folks that run popular things like that are quoting such things.... makes you wonder.
