Well as of 6pm EST  aqb52 is on his way to Columbus. He called me from the bus, and should be arriving tomorrow morning around 8 ~ 10am EST, well today. Although he thinks the bus driver said closer to noon, which makes little sense. In either case I plan on being there for when he arrives. I'll let him on the computer when he gets here so he can post a journal and catch up on stuff when he gets here.

Appears that yesterday my brother in NYC (who is not a furry but a roman catholic), told me that I am going to be a uncle. o.O;

While I am happy for him, I just hope I don't wind up being the creepy uncle with the... ahem... funny art on the walls. Which reminds me, after the child is born I really should take down some of the art for cleaner stuff in my living room, like say the Gimp Barney art I bought at FC07....

Went to work at Kroger's today... it's one of my 2 jobs.
Everything went fine, no problems, although the odd thing was that the next shift arrived a hour early.
So as I was about to clock out (on time) when I got called to the managers office.
Long story short, I am now on supension, and more then likely going to be fired from it. I'm going to call the union rep on monday to fight it, and talk to my other job for getting more hours there, as my rep there is good.

Anyway, at least I have that job to fall back on.

As of right now he is spending time in a hotel and out of contact with everyone. He will be there till monday, when he will catch a bus to the greyhound station over to me. It's a 14~16 hour ride, however when he arrives on Tues morning, I'll be meeting him at the bus station to help him bring his stuff here, as well as get adjusted to what is where around here. I'll attempt to keep people uptodate as best I can, but when he arrives I will let him use my computer till I am able to get a 4th machine that might be able to help him out, maybe a netbook or some such. We will have to see.

Okay so I bothered peeking and started to follow this livejournal group called WTF_FA... and all I can say this, what the heck are these people on? I mean 90% of the time there poking at legit artists just trying to either improve there style and such. Admittedly the other 10% is okay, this lives up to what that live journal group is about.

Interestingly enough I see that the most active posters and commentator's for this group are self imposed FA admin wannabes... one of which I know has gone as far as to openly claim to be FA admin, but been shot down as he's not even close to it.

I mean come on do these people have to be so selfrighteous and pathetic as they need there own live journal group just to make themeselves feel better. I mean okay here is one example... and I hate to point folks out so I am going to appologize ahead of time for this.

To be honest all I can think of is why? Saddly this is the more intelligent thing I have seen on this live journal list even after peeking through there history

Personally I think the posters on that list are just compinsating for there overly small egos, and such. If some of you note I have commented on some threads, that was my attempt to beat some common sense and brains in to these people. Which saddly I think is on the verge of epic failure....

Okay so he's dead... lets take the high road and remember the truth about him rather then just think fondly about him.

He made great music back in the mid to late 80s and established himself as a living legend.
He then got weird and turned to plastic surgery and other things to make himself look younger and whiter.
He was involved in a court case involving child molestation, that was eventually settled out of court, which personally makes me wonder.
He wasted his money on a theme park only meant for himself.. and then had to file for bankruptcy.

In the end how about this... remember him for his music and why he became famous... and forget the rest. That is all I will do to honor his memory.. so call me a bastard if you will, but when I die, I want to remembered for how I really lived, and nothing else, so I will do the same for others that pass on as well. As to me THAT is the best way to honor there memory... not some oh he's dead so lets be nice to him idiocy.

I've made up my mind to buckle down and try to reopen my LARP store, which was mostly online and still will be, and get off my furred rump (yea gryphons have fur on there rumps) and get back on track with making that animation studio of mine a reality. This will mean alot of work on my part, and I already have 2 animations, although silly and short, in the works, as well as other things as well.

NOTE The animation studio is mostly non-profit as the sales of any animation dvds made go in to the company, and I will work out a fair percentage of sales to those that helped create it. Also I want to try and keep prices of finished products low cost.

Normally sell at most places for about 50 to 60 dollars each, plus shipping. I was able to pull a profit by selling them at a flat 30+ shipping. Also I will be taking on a apperantace weapons smith as it where.  ciasmiviolette is eager to learn, and that will be of major help. If I can get a decent set up going, plate armor (yes REAL plate armor made from 18 guage steel) will also be in the plans.

Right now I am just looking for away to get around columbus so I can work out price checks and get a idea of what kind of a captial I need for equipment and starting merchandise for the LARP store.

The animation studio might take a bit longer, however I plan on asking one fur I know about how to make a blue suit for DAZ Studio, yes he knows how to do it, and it's just a matter of gathering the voice talents needed and working on a sample trailer with sound and f/x.

Also if I get a decent laptop and set up arranged I plan on making Morphicon to run a panel on furry 3d cgi art for the starting artist on the cheep, as well as tips for animation and lighting setup which can be tricky.

I'm also in a good guild that is right now run buy a couple of furs, so I might put in a word for you with them if you want, as we all look out for each other.

Tues I have 2 furs moving in with me.... Rusty might be coming in as well next week, still working on that one, and planning for it just in case.

Also planning on reopening my LARP goods store to help make the extra income, by working on both soft foam and hard foam weapons, and maybe soon latex designs (space for equipment pending). I also plan on expanding the store to include nine-man-morris games that can be carried like a pouch, as well as offering tails and maybe ears and simple muzzles for them and furs as well.

It's going to be alot of work, but all involved here are willing to help out with it, which will make things easier. Also who knows maybe I'll get back to working on those fursuit designs I still have as well.

Okay lets take something like world of warcraft, mix it up with chinese mythology, add in a race that might as well be werefoxes (females) and weretigers (male), and continued support for both low and high level character.... and oh make the whole thing free.

Well 2 friends. After I helped him get a job where I work, his mate lost his now there in a situation.

 ciasmiviolette and  snowball need some help and one of them is a artist willing to take commisions to help pay there bills. Now why these two are important to me is simple. When I first came to Ohio, I had no job and no home. They helped me out when I most needed it. So I am returning the favor, in a few ways. Daz art... Poser art.... hand done art.... to be honest I seem never able to hear the end of this... there are those that seem to see Daz and Poser art as a joke, others that say it is art....

Well to those that seem to think it's not I'm not going to do anything to change your mind.... not a blasted thing. Why? I wouldn't sink myself down to that level to save my soul.

Anyway... it does tend to get to me at times, which makes me wonder why I keep going on with it....

Quick rundown via mathematics..

Poser + Vista = Crash and burn
Daz Studio + Vista = Works

So now I am back to using Daz Studio, and this time I am going to pratice my lighting set up abit better, to see if I can get shading to work better this time around.

Still it would be nice if they come out with a version of poser that is stable in vista.

I got a email recently that came as a surprise to me that a old bank account I thought I closed was still active, and it has money in it. However the bank being the idiots they are have no branch in ohio, and have been sending my card to florida.

I just managed to update the address and gave them a call to cancel the card, which okay worked out fine. There going to send me a new card, cool. Also because there merging with another larger bank, I'll have local access by august. Which for me is very cool now.

So I guess this little surprise worked in my favor.

I found a mesh I would really like to use, however it lacks rigging (IE bones to help pose it) Also for some reason my copy of poser pro lacks the proper scripts to import obj files in to it. So I have 2 basic questions...

Does anyone have any ideas how I can rig the obj file in DAZ at the least? Or some kind of freebie or lowcost program I can use to rig it?

Also does anyone know where I can get the patch or scripting needed to import obj files in to Poser pro?

Any help that can be provided will be most welcome.
