Still Around and Writing
General | Posted 8 years agoI'm still around! I swear! I've been writing a lot and I'm getting ready to start posting again! So where have I been? Working on HTH. Because I'm basically in charge of the Patreon it's taken up a lot of my time. However, I have been writing. Actually I got accepted into
jarlidium NAF -- that's North American Fur, which publishes a fanzine anthology of stories and colored art. It's a pretty cool collection of artists and I'm happy to be writing for them. I publish a story twice a year in NAF, so if you're interested in reading some of the stories I've been writing, I'd check out any book starting at #32. Here's a link to their store: https://store.jarlidium.com/collect.....h-american-fur
I've also been working on more of the Beastiary stories, so I'm hoping to start that up again. So definitely look forward to more stuff from me, cause I've been jonesing to start posting.

My Return and Moving Forward!
General | Posted 11 years agoBack from FWA and my trip to Florida. The whole experience was exactly what I needed on many levels. I was able to meet some wonderful people, see areas I've never been before, and be someplace warm. Oh! The warm was so nice. I feel like I got a jump start on spring – only to return to the ever changing seasons of Colorado (It actually snowed when I was out for D&D Thursday night). It's sort of like Jack Frost doesn't wanna give up his job just yet, so he keeps chasing Spring off every evening until mid day. Makes me miss the warmth so much. Even warm rain!
Overall, FWA was fantastic. The weather was nice in Georgia, the air was good considering my experience with large downtown areas is pollution riddled (ie California and New York – seriously, Manhattan smells like steaming body garbage in places, and the humidity just makes everything sticky. California smells better, but it's murky), even Florida surprised me in that respect. Though I'm glad I went in early spring, and not summer. I don't think I'll like summer out there. Regarding the con, it was rather relaxing, with much of my time spent hanging out with HTH Mods,
amaracolcanis (who I've known since high school) and streetpassing. I gots all the streetpasses! It was glorious! Fortunately the hotel had tons of plug stations, so I could keep myself charged no matter what. There wasn't much in the way of panels I was interested in – but I'm not one for panels really. I go for the artists, the dancing, the fursuits, and socializing. I didn't take pictures. I'm still not used to taking pictures on my phone. It was also really neat to go to a furry con in a city outside of Colorado, and it certainly made me understand how much fun it can be to have a room at the con. Something I'm seriously interested in for RMFC. I'm not sure if I'd be able to find people to room with, or go on my own, or what. Luckily RMFC is around the end of summer, so I have time to figure things out.
To my delight, the warm Florida weather gave me an opportunity (and desire) to write again. After a medication-responsible 2013 of practically no writing, it's so good to get that writing muscle going again. It was also fantastic to be around other writers that I respect, and get their perspectives on things. For me, that was some of the best parts of my trip, even though I didn't do as much, just being around new personalities and thoughts was invigorating. I want to do that more often, it's been too long since I've really been able to speak with writers about writing in conversation. Am I close to posting something? . . . Not really. I posted a silly poem on Twitter (yup I'm on Twitter now) a couple of months back about foxes and boobs. Why isn't it in my gallery? Well I need more icons. Frankly, I need to find someone(s) to commission writing icons for. I actually have a long list of things I need – and the ability to pay for them.
Right now, I want a complete alphabet set for my Bestiary series. Which is mythical animals forming the shapes of each letter of the alphabet. So far I only have 'A' because I started the project alphabetically. But I'm not sticking with that at all, so I need a full set of letter icons. I am open to getting them all done by different artists, mostly because I really want them to look different. It's just finding artists who are open, willing, and with the skills I want (if you've seen my favorites gallery, that's a great example of my standards and what I'm looking for when I commission an artist).
After that, I need some simple Icons to use for when I post shorter works like flash stories and poems. That's roughly about 30 icons I need made. My biggest problem is that not many artists are open for Icon commissions, or if they are, it's faces or body parts – not exactly what I'm going for – so I have to really sit down and go through my lists and see who's available and interested. I'm open to suggestions regarding Icon artists.

noblewolf85georgia Basks
Who will you hang out with during the convention?
Well I don't know a whole ton of people in the area so probably the people I'm going with, unless I meet some new folks. :3
How is the best way to find you?
The group of people wearing HTH shirts will probably be the first giveaway.
What do you look like?
Short and curvy, with long brown hair. I will most likely be near a girl with a poodle *hugs
amaracolcanis*
I'll be wearing shirts with leopard spots in various HTH colors ie, black, white and shades of purple and pink.
Are there any panels you might be attending?
Not sure.
Will you be suiting?
No suit, so no.
Do you do free art?
Nope.
What is your gender?
All woman baby!
How tall are you?
5'2” Tiny cat is tiny.
Are you taken? Are you looking for a 'mate'?
I'm in an open relationship. I'm not looking for additional partners at this time. I am always interested in having a good time.
Can I talk to you?
Please do. I love when people can come up and chat with me.
Can I touch you?
Maybe. Always ask first, and let me know what you're doing. I'm open to most affection. But I surprises in big crowds aren't the best idea.
Can I visit your room?
Not unless you're invited and have the approval of all the roommates and you don't mind the walk.
Can I buy you drinks?
Certainly! I'm a sucker for lemon drops (made with squirt) and a sugar rim. Also, anything cool with dragon in the name, because I'm quirky like that.
Can I give you stuff?
Depends on what it is you want to give me.
Are you nice?
Oh yes. I can be a bit quiet on initial meetings, but it's mostly because I'm trying to feel out a group, or find a point to jump into a conversation. Contemplating cat contemplates quite considerably.
After that I'm I huge flirt. ;3

Will you be going to parties?
I sure hope so! I love parties.
Will you be performing?

Wandering around FWA.
Where will you be during the nights?
No idea, hopefully enjoying the fun that night brings.
What/where will you be eating?
No idea. I've never been to Georgia or FWA before, so I'm kinda going along with my group since they've all been before.
Can I come with you for food/fun/etc?
If you're invited and can pay for yourself.
Can I take your picture?
Sure! I just send me a copy of the pic. :3
What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
I don't make goals for cons. I just wanna have fun! :3

My Top 5 Creepiest Baby List
General | Posted 12 years agoSo I've been discovering that I have very little mothering female instincts. Babies have never excited me. When girls would squeal over holding some friend's/mother's/sister's/aunt's/etc's baby, I hold no more excitement than if someone would have asked if I could hold a bag of wriggly flour. I don't hate babies, nor am I afraid of them. I just don't get excited over them. I don't expect or want this to change. I'm happy with how things are. (Just to be clear, just because I don't want children, doesn't mean I have any issue with those who do. Please, go and live your lives how you wish. Just leave me to live mine.)
Because of this lack of normal mothering hormones or whatever it is that makes women want babies, whenever I come across something that normally makes girls feel all squidgy and happy about their future white-picket-fence life. I curl my lip and choke back the barf.
Here is my list of really creepy babies that freak me out.
The Old Spice Claw Game Baby:
https://youtu.be/g8ySyevrYm8
So athropomorphic hair crawling off a cute guys head and manipulating things is creepy enough. What's worse is to suggest that Good hair promises babies creeps me out to no end. It's not the baby itself that's creepy, but the situation. And the reaction of the woman who is just so overjoyed that a baby popped out of this claw game is just too much.
The Mr Clean Baby:
https://youtu.be/djxTSTEqsDI
So this thing looks like the albino version of the twilight baby -- which is equally disturbing. As this sucker grows the creepiness factor increases -- but the initial shock remains the same. All childhood forms of Mr. Clean are super creepy. Really whenever CGI is done wrong, the uncanny valley is the result.
The Twilight Baby:
http://tinyurl.com/ljdflle
Don't watch the movie -- unless it's a riff trax. Creepy baby is creepy, and of course the relationship with her mother's ex-lover layers that creep on super thick. Also I count the creepy anamatronic Chuckeesseme in this category. Here you go for some extra terror:
http://tinyurl.com/l98n2aj
Founding Myths Book Cover Baby:
http://tinyurl.com/lvrdcos
So many things wrong with this creepy picture. Really it's the combination of the creepy George Washington face, the pissed off eagle head and the baby ass. All the wrong things. What's worse is some genius commissioned an artist for this and put it on a mainstream book cover. You can buy this book! I hear it's pretty good. But do you really want that cover staring back at you? Maybe the hardcover version has a removable slip cover.
The Bloodstained Rabbit Baby:
http://www.darkatlas.com/writing-rabbit.php
I started looking for artwork he did -- but I really don't want to relive it. Plus, it's more powerful when you read the book. It's the single most creepiest moment of my reading experiences thus far. Read it if you can. It's a great book. And it's fairly short. It's very dark horror -- but it's hard to put down.
Do you feel all warm and motherly now? Aren't these babies just the thing you need to jumpstart your reproductive organs? No? Then I think someone dropped the ball. Well, except in The Bloodstained Rabbit -- That's supposed to fuck with your head.
Do you have your own creepy baby list? Or am I the only one?

What's in a Spot?
General | Posted 12 years agoAs a big cat lover, spots are very important. Patterns in general say a lot about the environment an animal lives in. Each cat is suited to their habitat. Unfortunately, people don't know the difference between spots, and/or they generalize how they look.
Here is a fantastic example of the different coats of big cats.

If you want to learn more, here's the website I got this from: http://ispyanimals.wordpress.com/ There are fantastic pictures of variant species of tigers, lions and a lot more. Always use references when arting or writing. It really does help.
(I am a melanistic Jaguar, with a leopard style head -- for anyone taking note. Remember, any cat can be a panther.)

Sex Meme -- It's more my style!
General | Posted 12 years agoAnd also because some people seem to think I'm either prude or bothered by sex. Which I think is weird since I write erotica and work for a porn game with my voice in it. *shrugs* I don't know. But I figured at best this might mess with some heads. >;3
1. Is there anyone on your friends list you would ever consider having sex with?
Oh yes. You already know who you are! Even if you aren't on my list. ;3
2. Sex in the morning, afternoon or night?
All times are good for sex!
3. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
I can sleep on either, but I like to be away from the cold and close to the door. Tiny panther-cats get cold at night. *shivers*
4. Do you masturbate?
Indeed.
5. How often? Lately?
Regularly. Of course. :3
6. Have you ever taken your clothes off for money?
Teehee. I have, and because I wanted to.
7. Do you prefer showers or baths?
Showers. I'm picky with bathtubs for baths as baths should be for relaxing.
8. Have you ever had sex in the shower or the bath?
Yes to both!
9. Do you watch/read pornography? With other people?
Yes to both again. :3
10. Do you want someone aggressive or passive in bed?

11. Do you love someone on your friends list?

Friends list sure, though it's not really accurate on any website. Watch list . . . no, that'd be hard to do.

Dirty talk, cock worship/body worship, roleplay
15. Has anyone ever gone beyond your personal line of respect sexually?

Yes sometimes that's the best way to enjoy a bad movie.
26. Had sex in a bathroom?

30. Do you own any sex toys?
Yup.
31. If yes, how many and what are they?
Um . . . a lot. I'd like more.
32. Does anyone have naughty pics of you or are you on film?
That is entirely possible. ;3
33. Have you ever had sex with someone and called them the wrong name?
No.
34. Have you ever had phone sex?
Oh yes!
35. Have you ever had cyber sex?
Yup.
36. Do you think oral sex constitutes a form of intercourse?
Well yeah.
37. What's your favorite sexual position?
Doggy or cowgirl it depends.
38. What's your favorite sex act?
It really depends. I like different things with different people.
39. Have you ever had sex with more than one person at a time?
Yes I have.
40. Who do you think has the guts to re-post this?
Probably
amaracolcanis because she's naughty like me. :3Pokemon X: Friend Code!
General | Posted 12 years agoYou got Pokemon? Let's trade friend codes!
My Christmas present came a couple weeks late, so I've been fiddling around with it on my own.
I'm still pretty brand new to this whole playing with other people thing, especially with Pokemon. I spent years just playing and trading all by myself. But I figure since there are so many people playing Pokemon too, I should give it a try.

Time Flies When You're Living in a Space Capsule!
General | Posted 12 years agoHoly crap! My last journal was in August! Where did the time go? Oh right, I've been busy. =P Definitely time to make an update. Yes, living on the third floor of an apartment, with no car, and only seeing people when they visit or I get stolen away, does make it feel like I live in a space capsule sometimes -- or a really trippy tree house. But space creates a more secluded image.
Things have been a whirlwind since my last post. What with a houseguest out for a few months, to the holidays, it's been a crazy trip to 2014. Crazy, but fun!
I've been keeping up with all the news posts, coordinating with staff, future staff, networking, etc.(the usual PR work). It's been one thing after another -- and if you think I'm complaining, then you'd be dead wrong! I LOVE this! This has been a lot of fun building up this business and watch it grow so much over this past year.
And planing things for this upcoming year has been a blast! Boy do we have some fun things in store!
Winter brings with it my usual slump, but keeping up with my exercises has made this winter much less painful than previous years, so that's an improvement. I do have a couple of stories that I started in the fall, but nothing's finished due in large part to my studio workload, but also due my medical issues, and my end-of-the-year stress and demotivation. I've been thinking about stories a lot lately so it's probably a month or so (hopefully) before I start to get back into it. Mostly I try to take it slow while there's still snow on the ground or in the forecast. The most I do is journaling and flash stories. And the flash stories I don't like posting, because some feel more like idea gems to save away for a rainy day.
In the meantime, I've been reading -- practically devouring books. I've always made time to read every day, a habit I got into back in my High School AP English days, and now that I'm surrounded by so many books again, it's been hard to keep my nose out of them. Thank you to everyone who donated a book! You've definitely brightened up this panther-kitty's slumps.
Major props go out to Doom Otter and Goldedge for turning me onto Brandon Sanderson, he's been hard to put down. I think at this point I have 2 books left of his to read.
Because I've been reading so much, I've been thinking of offering ONE edit slot to people interested -- but I haven't figured out the details of my requirements yet. So please, don't frustrate me by sending me info about it now -- it's just a heads up to those that read my journals. Keep your eyes pealed for a journal about it.
Before you see any more stories from me, you'll see pictures of ponies -- yup I've been bitten by the customizing bug thanks to
immortalpanda And I finally have a curling iron to style their hair with! Yay!

HTH Has Taken Over My Life!
General | Posted 12 years agoIt's true! My day is filled with doing various HTH work that I find it a struggle to get a chance to write. It also hasn't helped that I've been sick or on medication off and on since earlier in the year, it's been frustrating.
To add to matters, I have company coming out for an extended visit, and that's going to make writing even harder. Not impossible, just harder. Especially because I write the best when I'm alone and it's quiet -- probably fallout from growing up with an alcoholic with sensitive ears. It doesn't always have to be quiet, but I prefer to be alone. It's too hard to write with people around me. I'm either distracted or self conscious. Often both.
That's not to say I haven't written anything. I have. I've written a lot more than last year which was mainly spent editing stories. That really wore me out editing for a whole year. Polishing and refining and fretting and rewriting for a whole year. It really got to me. Like many creative peoples I get a bit self conscious of my work. And that just made it worse. I write a lot that I never post, or I start something, but don't like where it goes, and it comes to a halt. I've also written tons of journals that I never post.
Generally, it's hard for me to decide what to post here, since I don't like posting anything political or religious (I tend to save that for my stories), or unfinished works. And although my intention was, in posting Aello, that I would be able to keep posting the story, instead of having long stretches of nothing in between -- that did not turn out to be the case. I have written more chapters, and I do intend to finish it, because I'm still so in love with the story. I have an end that I want to get to dammit!
It's one of those stories that is in my head and won't stop until I get it all out in words. The problem is that I'm getting other stories clamoring for attention and it's chaos up in there.
Regarding the Bestiary stories: I'm still not giving up on it, but I almost want to flip through and write some random ones instead of sticking to alphabetizing. I didn't want to do that initially because it's harder to keep track of everything that way -- and I hate writing in books. It feels wrong. I had to do it once for a Psych class and I'm still traumatized. I look through it and shudder.
I'll figure something out. I'd really like to get some stories posted before the year is out. That would really feel like an accomplishment considering how little I've been able to do this year.
But this is the first year HTH Studios has been an actual full fledged business -- so it's to be expected that things are a bit hectic right now. I'm hopeful that as the years progress, I'll be able to find the balance between studio work, and my own personal pursuits.
Thanks for reading. I really am sorry things have been so quiet.

Belated Birthday Recap!
General | Posted 12 years agoOMG I had the best birthday EVER!
Ignore the fact that I'm stuffed up and congested -- oh wait, you can't see that can you. Fantastic! Ignore the sick cat behind the screen.
My birthday actually started before the actual day because Crow, in his usual form, couldn't keep the secret of my present hidden any longer, and I opened up my brand new Kindle Fire HD!
I can not begin to say how much I love my Kindle!
I've filled it up with all the books I've been carrying around on my Kindle for PC for years. All those free Gutenberg press books! http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page All the fairy tales are at my fingertips! Teehee!
Getting to hang out with friends this year was fantastic; there's just so much fun stuff do do when you're in good company! And thanks to
immortalpanda who told me about the screening of The Last Unicorn where you get to meet the author Peter S. Beagle! On my birthday no less! OMFG! This was the first book signing I've ever been to! It was amazing to get to meet Mr. Beagle and I have more books to read and add to my collection.
Ahhhhhh yes, it feels good to add books. Happy bibliophile is happy. :3
It was so fantastic to get to talk to Mr. Beagle. I totally spazzed out and fumbled over my words, but he was so nice and he shook my hand, and signed Happy Birthday on almost everything I bought! Oh gosh I'm such a writer fan-girl. *hangs head*
The Last Unicorn on Blu-Ray is absolutely breathtaking! If you have a player and are a fan of the film -- OMG it is hard to tear my eyes away from it! And they left in all the great parts instead of cutting it up to make it more 'kid friendly'. I cried practically the whole way through watching. I'm so happy I have that movie now. :3
I got to eat delicious Indian food for lunch and burgers for dinner, and
immortalpanda made me Red Velvet Cupcakes in Zebra stripped cups!
Totally
Best! Day! Ever!
Heck, Best WEEK Ever!

I Swear I'm Still Here!
General | Posted 12 years agoSorry I've been inactive for . . . oh gosh -- way too long.
Winter is NOT my friend. I also started a new medication about a month ago and it's kind of prolonged my usual winter depression. The medication isn't for anything serious, my body just has a habit of experiencing the strangest, or at least less typical, set of side effects for any given medication. Unfortunately, lack of motivation, depression, and disinterest in pleasurable activities are a few of those side effects and I'm really starting to feel those more intensely now.
The hardest part is, I've been gearing myself up to write for a couple of months now -- per usual as the daylight increases daily. But now I'm barely able to do my regular workload for HTH Studios let alone my own writing.
What makes it even worse is I don't want to feel this way. For the first time in my life I have absolutely no reason to be so down -- other than medication -- and it frustrates me. It took a lot of work and effort to get myself in a healthy mindset and with one stupid daily pill it all goes down the drain. Still, I have 2 more months of medication to get through before I'm done. So I'm hoping like the other side effects, this one fades along with the others.
Sorry to come in after months of inactivity and all I have is ranting. I'm hoping that things improve and I can get back to a more productive routine.
I'm so close to finishing the next chapter of Aello it's not even funny. I'm literally right at the end and I know what I want to do. Heck I'm excited about getting the 5th chapter written too (and a prequel chapter that gives more details about Deon). So this medication setback is driving me mad.
Either way, I'm still alive, still writing, and still planing on posting, things are just fighting me right now.
With any luck I won't have more journals like this to post.

Happy New Years Eve – I Live!
General | Posted 13 years agoYup, I’m still here. Writing over the fall and winter has never been easy for me, so this is usually the time where I hibernate with my thoughts. I’m still planning out stories, but my mental state is never up to par enough to write – at least not over the winter. Fortunately I’ve had other artistic ventures to keep the right side of my brain active. Of course, these are artistic ventures that I plan to post so you can all see what I’m working on.
I’ve had a lot of friends over in these past few months as well, so socializing has kept me pleasantly distracted. Nothing I’ll complain about, since I haven’t been very social irl for a very long time. It’s also served to distract me from my seasonal blues and inability to write. Actually, it’s gotten me more excited to write, so when the weather stops being a pain in various parts of my body, I’ve got lots of writing to look forward to.
There are more Bestiary stories, more chapters of Aello, with any luck some new artwork, and ponies . . . omg the ponies! >;3
In addition to the whirlwind end of the year I’ve been having, my job is now working for HTH Studios. Technically I was doing this all along, but now we’re actually making an income, so my focus is split between helping Crow run the business, and writing is my off hour venture. I do have help, so once I figure out what all I need to delegate, then I’ll have a bit more time to do other things. Because of this, I’m planning on making some alterations to my info pages.
Some people have asked me why I never made it very public that I work with
crowchild on HTH Studios products. Mainly because the things I post on my pages have nothing to do with HTH Studios. These are my stories, my ideas, and my projects. I’ve also never been very public that we’ve been dating for the past 7 ½ years. I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it. I didn’t really know who Crowchild was or anything about High Tail Hall when I first joined the fandom. I was only introduced to the Rio project through a friend I was chatting with at the time. I didn’t even think I would get the role when I auditioned. When I was brought on board, our interactions were entirely professional – and it wasn’t until maybe six months in that we realized we’d developed feelings for each other. It took 2 years of dating before deciding to live together.
So why, if I don’t want to make a big deal out of it, do I bring it all up now? I suppose it’s because of how much time I spend helping with HTH Studios. For all intents and purposes I am the other half of HTH Studios. It’s what I spend the biggest part of my day working on. I do it, in large part because I believe in Crow’s dream, and also because I love him and want to do everything I can to help him succeed.
Besides, it’s New Years Eve! Might as well start the New Year fresh. ^^
Hope everyone has a great New Years Eve and have a wonderful start to the next year!

Story Changes
General | Posted 13 years agoSo I've been writing more of Aello, and I've begun to realize that I've actually written two chapters, not a two parted chapter. I'm going to go through and change the titles so it matches what I'm working on.
This next chapter is just longer. I knew what I wanted to put in it, but I didn't expect it to be as long as it is. I do that a lot. I try to write something short, but that's hard when I love so much detail. I started out as a novelist. So short stories can present a bit of a challenge for me.
To those that have read it, I've been thinking about the title of Love Grows. I'm going with a titling theme of pluralized verbs if you haven't already noticed. It just kind of started that way and I ran with it. What are your thoughts on that title for the chapter? Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks so much for reading.

Travel Log – Return and Reflections
General | Posted 13 years agoI’ve been home for over a week now. All that driving took a lot out of me. I can believe I drove through a state every day while on the road. I probably wouldn’t have made it, if it weren’t for all the driving I endured for my last job. Then again, with Dad’s pain medication the equivalent of sandman sand, I’m glad someone was there to take over driving.
Thanks to my computer dying I got quite a bit behind with studio stuff while I was away, so I’ve spent a lot of time catching myself up to date and getting back to work with my PR duties. I did a little bit of reading and a little bit of writing while I was away – not as much as I’d have liked, but the time was well spent with Dad, so I kept my mind on brainstorming mode up until now.
Since returning home, I’ve gotten a bit more writing done, but it’s been hard to get a moment away from all the HTH Studios stuff. There’s so much going on right now. I’ll keep you guys updated on future story posts, but just as a warning, things are crazy here. But I’m getting back into the swing of things.
Realistically, this trip came at a very inconvenient time, considering the latest High Tail Hall update came less than a week after my departure. My laptop refusing to turn on since I got to L.A. didn’t help either. I won’t deny how wonderful an opportunity it was to visit my dad. I’d been missing him. So regardless of the timing, it all worked out in the end. Thankfully, I’ve started to feel like I’ve caught up or at least I’m not feeling so out of the loop anymore.
The work I did on stories is all hand written in my notebooks. It’s mostly full of my ramblings that I’ll have to sort out and translate to type, but I’m relieved to get a chance to work on stories again. I’ve plotted out the next four Bestiary stories, and I wrote a few haiku’s. As most of my regular readers know, I’m not much for poetry. I dabble every once in a while, but more often than not, poetry makes me feel out of my element. They’re not traditional Haiku; I mostly just used the 17 syllable pattern. I’ll post those at some point. The pictures will also follow tomorrow.
Thanks everyone for your patience over this past month. It’s been crazy, and it’s not over yet. Look for more journals, more stories, and tons of Livestreams over at http://www.hthstudios.com/index.php/livestream. This next update will open up the Library’s bookshelves where you’ll be able to access all my stories and more. There will also be lots of girls getting some new interactivity, which I’m sure is where your concern lies, but if you ever get a chance, go over and hang out my character and explore the zone. There are lots of plans to make it a fun area for you to enjoy, with a café sporting sexy baristas, lounge areas, and there might just be a few surprises if you poke around. ^^

Tyvara

Look for more journals, more stories, and tons of Livestreams over at http://www.hthstudios.com/index.php/livestream. This next update will open up the Library’s bookshelves where you’ll be able to access all my stories and more. There will also be lots of girls getting some new interactivity, which I’m sure is where your concern lies, but if you ever get a chance, go over and hang out my character and explore the zone. There are lots of plans to make it a fun area for you to enjoy, with a café sporting sexy baristas, lounge areas, and there might just be a few surprises if you poke around. ^^

Travel Log – The Way Home
General | Posted 13 years agoWe managed to leave Breckenridge before noon! Shock and awe! I’ve never actually driven from Colorado to California before. I did a road trip with my parents as a kid, but I slept in the back seat. Driving the whole way is very different. After you leave Colorado there’s a whole lot of nothing for miles. There’s a huge stretch of Utah that has nothing but off-ramps that disappear into the desert. Despite our early departure, we made it to St. George after 10pm.
The next morning we got a relatively early start and headed back to the Grand Canyon, this time headed for the West End, where the famous Sky Walk is. The highway takes you through three states, only to go back into Arizona. The National Park around the Hoover Damn was really green considering it’s bordered by desert. It felt very much like an oasis between the short mountains.
The Sky Walk was crazy to get to. It is way off the beaten path, and a chunk of the road is winding and dirt. Most of it goes through a Joshua Tree forest. Considering the insane trek to get there and the cost of the Sky Walk (which requires a pass to enter Tribal territory), it’s debatable how worth it everything was. There’s lots to see, but if you don’t care about Native American stuff, then I wouldn’t recommend it. I could have stayed there longer, but Dad’s only concern was the Sky Walk. Unfortunately you can’t take pictures on the glass itself, unless you pay for the guides on the bridge to take one for you. There’s a few more places to stop while on tribal land, however, Dad had seen what he wanted and rushed through everything else.
On the last leg of the trip, we made it to Whiskey Pete’s, the last casino on the border of Nevada and California. It was my first experience in a casino as an adult, but I didn’t gamble. Between my lack of money and Dad’s religious beliefs, we just wandered around talking about some of his trips through Las Vegas. I’ve always known about Dad’s checkered past, but it’s so interesting to learn about it. The hotel had Bonnie and Clyde’s getaway car and a whole collection of memorabilia from their crime spree, from news paper stories, all the way to personal items. Next to the Bonnie and Clyde display was Al Capone’s car riddled with bullets. It was neat to compare the two cars. Bonnie and Clyde’s was riddled like Swiss cheese. Al Capone’s car look like it absorbed the bullets – kind of like the Terminator. The glass was bulletproof and completely untouched. I don’t have pictures of these cars. The combination of the loud casino, awful country band, and thick fog of smoke, kept our stay near the casino short and left our cameras in the room.
In the morning we loaded up the car and drove through California to home. It got beastly hot through the Mohave Desert and the traffic was heavy, but we made it to familiar territory. Back home, we spent our last couple of days looking at family photos and watching some of his favorite shows. My last days in California I got to eat at my two favorite fast food places: In and Out, and El Pollo Loco. It made the perfect end before the plane trip the next morning.
Thanks to ants farming aphids on Dad’s tree hedge, morning coffee got lost in helping to spray the trees. He gave me enough to buy a cup at the airport, but the crazy people took so long I almost missed my plane. Fortunately I made it for last call at the last minute. The co-pilot’s name was Patrick Stewart. I had to ask the stewardess if I’d heard right, and she told me I had. We shared a laugh about it. The flight home took me over our entire journey. The Grand Canyon from above was even more massive, and the aspens had turned even more amber since we’d left them. The next journal will be the last in this travel log.

Travel Log – Mountain Scenery
General | Posted 13 years agoOur hotel was a lodge minutes from the gondola that goes up to the ski-slopes. It’s off season, but we made it in time to watch the aspens change colors. Our first day everything was green, but every day thereafter the mountains exploded with yellows and ambers. I took tons of pictures. With Crow’s help I decided on the prettiest ones to post.
The lodge was more like miniature condos than a hotel. Our room had a full kitchen, so we bought groceries to make dinners for the week. Which was lots of fun. I introduced Dad to smoothies – I take my tips from every smoothie bar I’ve ever been to – I have an obsession with fruit smoothies and discovering fun new ingredients to mix together. But since our blender died a few years ago, I haven’t had the opportunity to make smoothies in a long time – it was a real treat. Cooking is fun, and so much cheaper than going out all the time.
On Sunday, we caught a gondola ride. The lodge up by where the ski-slopes begin was beautiful, and the flowers around the grounds were gorgeous. Unfortunately if you have back problems, it makes some of the activities a bit difficult, and much of it is for young kids or teens. There’s plenty of hiking up there, but with both Dad’s and my chronic pain, there wasn’t that much to do. It was still beautiful, and a change to see the slopes without snow on them. I’ve never been much of a skier. Skiing and snowboarding always seemed like an over-glorified way to break bones, so I never got into it. But I can still enjoy the scenery. ^^
Over the next week we drove around the area and checked out the changing aspens. We made arrangements to rent a boat and go horseback riding, but when calling for directions to the ranch, we got the wrong ranch. The guy on the phone was so forceful and chatty he convinced us to switch our plans. Instead we rented a boat to cruise Lake Dillon. When we got down to the docks, the sky opened up and pored. We waited it out for an hour, and the weather cleared a bit. Determined to go out, we took it as a sign and headed out on the lake. Through sheer luck we managed to avoid the worst of the rain. There were tons of photo opportunities. Afterward we made reservations to go horseback riding, but they were booked for the next day, so we had to wait.
Turns out the next day rained constantly. It was dark, dreary, wet and murky. We were fortunate that we didn’t have to ride horses in the rain. The actual day of riding was great: perfect weather, picturesque setting in a valley, and almost two hours of free range riding through the changing aspens. There was only one other girl on the ride with us, so it was pretty relaxed. I love horses. I took lessons as a kid. I used to ride a couple of times a year. As a result I absolutely loathe nose-to-tail trail rides. Nothing is more boring. Dad’s the same way, so we were both thrilled with the ride.
The last day in Breckenridge we made preparations to drive through Utah on our way back to California. The next journal will relate my return trip.

Travel Log – The Road Trip Begins
General | Posted 13 years agoAfter a late start, we drove from California to Williams Arizona, where we stayed overnight so we could sight see the next day. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the early start I’d hoped, and if you’ve ever been to the Grand Canyon, you’ll know it’s not exactly a place you can absorb in a couple of hours. There’s a lot to do there. Dad wanted to do everything, and I had to keep reminding him how long certain activities take to do – especially with both of our back problems. In the end we caught a couple of buses to a few places around the park, took lots of pictures; Dad, ever the socialite, chatted up so many people that it was nice when it was just the two of us again. I love hanging out with my dad. We get along really well and aside from religion, we share a lot in common.
Realizing what time it was, we decided to head out on our way to the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest hoping to make it before the sun set. The Impact Crater didn’t happen. We drove up to it, decided the Petrified Forest was more important, grabbed a brochure and turned around. Unfamiliar with the park and the area, we passed the Petrified Forest and started at the Painted Desert – which was beautiful. Then we drove down the windy road from the North of the park to the South, where the Petrified Forest is. By the time we got there, the sun was behind clouds on its way to setting. My camera ran out of batteries on route. Super Lame! I had to share, Dad’s – which wasn’t a serious loss – just annoying. At least we got in a few pictures before it got dark enough to encourage mosquitoes and we retreated to the car. After hopping back in our car and back through the park we were back on track toward New Mexico.
The next morning we drove from Gallup, New Mexico to our house in Denver, which needless to say is a very long trip. One thing I discovered along the way were bear crossing signs at the boarder of Colorado and New Mexico. My first bear crossing sign. I love checking all the different animal crossing signs in different states. After an entire day of non-stop driving, we made it home to see Crow, but by then the stars were out.
Regardless, this was a great opportunity for Dad to meet Crow. They hit it off so well that the next day, Dad got so absorbed in hanging out that we didn’t leave the house until almost sundown. It’s great to have a partner that your parents approve of. I’ve dated my fair share of crap, and it’s a nightmare to date someone your parents hate. Even if you’re only doing it because they keep insisting you break up (yeah, I did that). So at least the late start was for a great reason.
By the time we made it into the mountains, and then our destination of Breckenridge, it was dark. But finally it was a chance to completely unload the car. The next journal will cover my week in Breckenridge.

Travel Log – Reuniting and Reminiscing
General | Posted 13 years agoNow that I’m home and had a couple of days to settle in, I decided to sit down and share my trip with everyone. I took lots of pictures. I’ve never been much of a picture taking person. I was never really encouraged to take them. As a result, I’m pretty noobish with pictures. But I enjoyed the process throughout this trip. I realized afterward that I took fewer pictures than I should have, but I’m new at this, I really have no idea what people expect pictures of when someone returns from vacation.
My trip began in Southern California staying in the house my dad has owned for over 35 years and a place I haven’t been back to in maybe 15. I slept in the same bed I had as a little girl – the comfiest Murphy bed ever! Very surreal to say the least, lots of memories returned that I’d not thought of in years.
The first week was mostly hanging around the house reminiscing, swimming in the pool, playing with his dog, driving around town, and getting everything ready for our upcoming road trip. My dad’s been traveling all his life for trade shows, so he has a system of packing. He’s of the belief that he should have all the comforts of home wherever possible. And he does manage to keep it comfortable, regardless of how heavily packed. I swear if my dad played video games he’d be a Tetris God! At least I have only one suitcase to my name, so I was free to help him as needed.
The car for this road trip was a 2011 Chrysler 300: a sparkly cherry red exterior, tan interior, and every amenity in the book. Dad, with his salesman schmooze, talked the dealership owner out of his own car. A decent consolation considering that the only reason he was in the market for a new car was some crazy smashed into him and totaled his old car. At least it was all covered by insurance. As a road trip car it was a dream. GPS, cruise control and Sirius radio made the drive a breeze. I’m used to driving jalopies held together by dreams and love. The Chrysler is from the future. Absolutely the best car I have ever had the pleasure of operating. Since I ended up driving most of the trip, the nice car made it so much easier.
It was so nice to get a chance to spend time with my dad. We’ve been in touch sporadically since college. After he retired and threw himself into his faith we drifted further apart. Then he married a woman I’d never met. It’s only been in the last couple of years that we’ve reconnected. I guess all that time apart might not be such a big deal if my dad wasn’t sick. Fortunately, Dad’s always been very conscious of his health since his diagnosis, and he’s always on top of it, but it’s one of those things that will play a major part in how long he lives. This is why I’m so happy I got to spend the time with him; I’ll never know how long I’ll have the opportunity. After three weeks, it’s been so easy to stay connected. All the past is behind us and forgotten.
The next few journals will go over what I did while I was on the road. Pictures will follow later in the day.

Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity-jig!
General | Posted 13 years agoYes, I'm back from my three week trip with my dad. I have lots of pictures and lots to tell. Expect more journals covering it all.
But before I can get into all that posting and fun stuff, I've got a lot to catch up on with the studio and everything else I couldn't keep tabs on (my laptop took a dump on me half way through the trip, so I had to leave it with Crow hoping it might get fixed -- and it did after much fighting).
I will be on the Livestream with Crow tonight around 7 or 8pm ish Mountain time.
Thanks to everyone who wished me a safe trip!
Laters,
Tyvara

Leavin' for LA -- Ask Me Anything!
General | Posted 13 years agoSitting in the airport, and I've got some time to kill. My plane isn't even here yet.
So, while I wait . . . keep me company! Please. *sweet panther cat face.*
If you've ever had a question about me, now is the time to ask it, I'm an open book. This offer is a limited time thing. Once boarding starts, I've gotta go.
Thankies.

Pimp Sloths do Battle
General | Posted 13 years agoIt surprised me too. But according to a recent study, two-toed sloth males keep a harem of multiple females. Most breeding sloths will father offspring with at least two. Considering this is an animal that needs a week to take a poop, the scientific world wasn’t expecting these slower than mud creatures that grow moss on their bodies to be able to keep up with more than one partner.
Not only can they keep up, but they fight for their ladies, as they found males with ‘considerable facial scars’. I have a hard time imagining this battle. If you’ve ever watched a sloth move then you have an idea of how freakishly slow these guys are. So then, how hard would it be to dodge a sloth parry? But if you’re as super slow as your attacker, would it be like fighting in bullet time – but their bullet time would be real time? Perhaps the potential pussy brings out the speed in them -- spending their entire lives in sloth, awaiting the time when they have to defend their harem and BOOM faster than lightning attacks?
Of course if a male doesn’t get to his female in time, she’s going to sleep around, because when you only move around 14 feet a day you can’t count on the first male you see to be the best of the bunch. Lady sloths keep their options open.
Sloths are now that much cooler in my book. :p

Story Updates and Commission Opportunity
General | Posted 13 years agoI can’t believe I have less than a week before I go on my trip. Aah! I’m so scatterbrained. Aside from already missing Crow and I haven’t left yet, I still have things to do before I go anywhere. Add that to the stress of the next HTH update, and our house is crazy.
Since I’ll be traveling soon, I thought it best to let you know what the status is of my stories. With the change of seasons taking hold, my body pain has returned. Some days I can’t type, others it’s just constant stiffness all over my body. I'm very grateful for my tens unit, and to Mar and Rex who bought me replacement pads (I <3 you). I often rely on my speech-to-text program in times like these, but using it when I’m staying with my father will be difficult to say the least. I doubt his Jehovah’s Witness sensibilities will appreciate hearing his daughter describe furry sex acts in detail. :/
I know my story posts have trickled into a dribble. After posting the last part of Aello I’ve had trouble getting back in. It’s not like I don’t know what to write, I’m just not satisfied with what comes out on the page. If you’re not a writer, I’m sure that sounds like the silliest thing you’ve ever heard. However, if you are a writer, I bet that sounds familiar. Fortunately I have other projects to work on. It keeps me busy while Aello sits in the back of my mind. I know what happened. I just got a bit overwhelmed with the scope of the story. This one little side story has turned into a full blown novel, and I wasn’t expecting to tackle a novel, so it’s thrown me a bit. My over-critical perfectionist comes out and stifles me. I either succumb to it, or distract it with something new. I prefer the latter.
At least in the meantime I finished a magazine submission and have continued work on another. I’ve since outlined the next three stories for the Bestiary, and I’ve fiddled with the fourth. This way, if I get a chance to write during my trip, I won’t have to look in my Encyclopedia for reference.
After I get back at the end of September, I’ve seriously thought about opening up for commissions. It’ll just be one and only a short story, so in the 5-10K word range. I’ve had this on my mind for a while. I like the thought of taking on a single commission at a time. This way, I can’t get overwhelmed, and I can focus on giving the commissioner and their story more direct attention. It also leaves me available to continue to work on the Bestiary project and HTH Studios. Something to note for anyone interested in a commission, all of my cover art is done by Crowchild. So not only will your commission help the studio, you’ll also get icon art with your name credited as the story creator!
If you’re interested please drop me a note or leave a comment. I’d love to know if there’s any potential in my idea. I’m still debating the price, though I’m open to your thoughts on the matter.
Thanks to all my new watchers! I can’t believe there’s over 1000 of you now. Wow! Thanks to everyone, from the new folks who found me recently, to the very first who found me way-back-when. Thanks to the frequent commenters, and the lurkers, and everyone who enjoys my work. Each of you keeps me writing. Without an audience my stories would gather internet dust.
Your readership means the world to me. ^^
TTFN,
Tyvara

Parrot Stories
General | Posted 13 years agoSince I finally got around to taking pictures of Kuarii and Soren, I thought I’d share how they came into my life, and some cute moments. I’ve had them for over 10 years now, so there are lots to pick from.
Kuarii was abandoned at the pet store I worked at when he was 3. His owner disappeared to Belgium, where he dodged our attempts to contact him about his bird, before finally telling us to sell him to cover the costs. Mango (yes that was Kuarii’s original name) was such a sweet bird, and a few of the store employee’s wanted to take him home but couldn’t pay for the entire tab. We knew some of his history because the leg band let us know he was raised at our store – there’s a chance that I might have helped handle him when he was little if only briefly.
I ended up selling him to a woman who later wanted to return him because she had MS (something she neglected to tell me during our entire conversation). He also wanted to be with her all the time, and it drove her nuts. Some people are not cut out to own a bird. The store really didn’t want to take him back, and the woman begged me to take him. I told her I couldn’t afford to pay her for everything she’d purchased. She said she didn’t care; she just wanted him to have a good home.
So that’s how I got Kuarii. I promptly changed his name, choosing that of an eagle owl from the Owl trilogy by Mercedes Lackey. I added an extra ‘i’ because I’m kooky like that. :p
One of the downsides of owning a parrot that had another owner is dealing with some of the quirks taught to them. Kuarii was obviously owned by a man first. Sure he loves me, and does what I ask better than anyone else, but I’ve been training him for over ten years. Whenever Kuarii meets a new guy he’s all friendly and sweet and affectionate. Women he pretty much ignores. He doesn’t hate them, but he doesn’t go out of his way to be cute or anything. Unless you shower him with attention, then he’s all yours. He’s my little attention whore.
One thing Kuarii does that I love and hate at the same time, is whenever he gets in trouble and I put him in time-out (the bottom of the bathtub) and close the door. He’ll holler after me something that sounds distinctly like “I hate you, I hate you, I hate you! You Bitch!”
He’s always done this. I never taught it to him. I’ve never said it around him either. I think he’s repeating something that his previous owner taught him. I’m guessing they fought a lot.
Fortunately, I’ve been able to teach him lots of cute things. Some of you have heard a bit during the Livestream. He loves to laugh. Anytime someone laughs (even the T.V.) he likes to laugh along. He wants to be part of the fun. What I’m trying to get him to say next is, “I’m a silly birdy. Hahahahaha!” And dance.
Now for a Soren story. I got him when he was 6, from a couple who were both nurses and couldn’t spend enough time with him. They boarded him at our store often, which was how I knew she was looking to find him a new home.
I’ve always wanted an African grey, and working with them got my heart set on owning a Timneh. They’re calmer, and cuddlier, they’re less prone to feather plucking and deal with change better. Problem is Greys are expensive. A hand raised Timneh baby would cost me a couple of thousand dollars not just for the bird, but the set up, toys, food and everything else they need. Our store wasn’t known for carrying Timnehs either, so when Soren’s previous owner told me she was interested in finding him a good home, I pretty much jumped at the offer.
When I first went to visit him, the woman warned me that Einstein (yeah, such an original name) might be a bit nervous, because she didn’t handle him much. She’d never heard him talk either. He spent most of his time on his T-stand by himself. His cadge was next to a window, but sometimes the local raccoons would stop by and bother him at night. It worried me. At the time, I hadn’t worked with many parrots older than six.
The moment I walked into their kitchen, he perked up and whistled.
She said, “He must really like you, he’s never done that before!”
After that, I knew I had to take him home. I watched her go through her usual interactions with him, to see what I’d be dealing with, but he wasn’t aggressive, just stubborn – very typical of African Greys. It would take time, but I knew I could help him. We haggled on price, but she gave me everything she had bought for him, for far less than I would have paid had I got him as a baby, and considering he was six, and barely step-up trained, it turned out well in the end.
That’s how Soren came into my life. I got his name from The Guardians of Ga’hoole books by Kathrine Laskey – yes the one they made a movie out of. That’s my Soren. It took me 10 solid years of training, but he’s now the cuddle bug I’ve always wanted. There were times where I feared it might never happen. I’ve been through my share of bites, and bruises, but the trust he shows in me now . . . he’s a different bird. His voice is sweeter sounding; his personality is gentle and calm. He’s still a big wus, and scared of his own shadow, but he trusts that I’ll be there for him. If I ever had to train another bird, I know I could do it. Most of the advice I give on parrot training has worked out well.
Despite the insistence of Soren’s previous owner that he didn’t talk, I talk to him anyway. I’ve found he responds better if I talk in clear sentences to him. He’s always mumbled his own words, but for the longest time he never said anything clearly. Back when I was living on my own, I’d gotten up early, and the birds were still sleeping. Soren’s first full sentence to me was, “It’s a good morning, so get up! It’s a good morning!”
I promptly uncovered him up and told him what a good boy he was.
He says a few more things now, but he’s never repeated that sentence to me.
I absolutely love working with parrots. Sometimes interacting with them makes me feel a little like I’m Doctor Doolittle. If you ever have any questions about parrots, feel free to bring them to me. I’m always willing to share my love and knowledge of birds.
Hope you enjoy the pictures.
Thank you everyone for watching and reading.

Book Review: The Mistborn Trilogy
General | Posted 13 years agoThere’s nothing too major revealed here. I try to keep this spoiler free. I decided to do this review after I’d read all of the Mistborn books, instead of doing one for each, mostly because I couldn’t put them down.
Of the three, I liked the first book best. I enjoyed the intrigue, the infiltration, and of course the magic system. The magic system expands through the three books – which I love. In my opinion, the Mistborn books have one of the best magic systems I’ve ever read. It’s very logical, and adheres to cause and effect. The concept of burning metals to enhance one’s own abilities is such a nifty idea.
All three books have a review from Romantic Times Book Review, which surprises me to no end. I don’t think that these books are very romantic. The first Mistborn book has more romance, and even that’s a stretch. I’ve read mainstream fantasy with far more than this. If you’re looking for a sweet romance, Mistborn doesn’t really hold up. It’s also a closed door romance – if you’re unfamiliar with the term, all the adult stuff is glossed over. Sanderson even struggles with describing naked people, so if you’re hoping for anything raunchy, this is not that trilogy. But there’s more important stuff going on.
I didn’t care much for the political aspect of the book. The second is all about politics, war, and stabilizing a struggling city/empire. That part bored me to no end. In my opinion, all the politics could have been removed from the books and it wouldn’t hurt the story one bit. But that probably would have reduced the trilogy to two books – most publishing houses would rather have a trilogy than a duology, so at least I can see a reason. For those of you who love a good bout of political intrigue then the Mistborn Trilogy should be right up your alley. Fortunately, it’s not so bad or boring that I couldn’t get through the books. It was tolerable, just excessive.
The Kandra species is by far my favorite creature in this world. Kandras are gelatinous creatures that can perfectly replicate any living thing as long as it has the bones. They are also fantastic doppelgangers to such a degree that finding them out is near to impossible – even for other Kandra. The second book has a Kandra who takes over the body of a wolfhound at the request of the main character. These interactions were my favorite parts. The wolfhound becomes quite anthropomorphized and some of the interactions and development between the two characters got me all emotional. I wish more of the Kandra were in the books, although the third one did satisfy much of my Kandra curiosity.
Another thing I really enjoyed was how the world is full of ash, brown plant-life and a red sun, giving it a post-apocalyptic feel. There exist rumors of a time where there used to be green plants, a blue sky and a strange thing called flowers, and reading the characters talk about how odd the concept is cracks me up. It also makes me wonder about worlds that don’t have a yellow sun, a blue sky and green plants.
The part of the trilogy that drove me nuts was the fight scenes. They are confusing as all hell. Most of it seems to happen in bullet time – or at least, that’s how it reads. But so much happens within a paragraph, it’s very hard to keep up, or sort out, without multiple reads. I will say that by the third book the fight scenes were much better, so that gives me hope for some of his other books.
By the third book it’s very hard to figure out who’s the main character, and frankly, it doesn’t matter. Each viewpoint has something interesting that adds to the overall plot. I’ve read a few books that have this style, so it didn’t bother me that much. Although it did make me disconnect from whomever the main character should have been. Frankly by the third book I kept reading to see how it would turn out.
The end was very unexpected. I liked it. I love to be surprised. The best part of the surprise is that it all made sense. In a very round-about way it had been leading to it all along. Overall, I was quite satisfied by these books, and thoroughly enjoyed reading. I’m very interested to read what else he’s done. Fortunately a great guy named DoomOtter donated a few more of Brandon Sanderson’s books.
Special thanks to Goldedge for donating the Mistborn trilogy. I really loved reading them. It’s been great for my imagination.
If you’ve ever read the Mistborn Trilogy, what did you think of it? Try to keep your comments free of spoilers please.
If you haven’t, are you interested in picking it up?
My next book review will be of Sandman Slim. Also donated by Goldedge. Thanks again to everyone who donates books. You guys are full of win! You keep this bibliophile very happy. ^^

Surprise Travel and Story News
General | Posted 13 years agoGoing out of town at the end of the month. I'll be gone until about the end of September. My dad invited me to keep him company on a trip he'd payed for, but decided he'd rather go with me than alone. We used to travel together all the time, but since he retired I haven't seen him in years.
I'll be taking the laptop with me, so I'll still work on stories and take care of HTH Studios business. Crow is going to stay home and work while I'm away. He'll definitely still stream. I may pop into a stream every now and then if the opportunity arises.
I'm also taking the camera so I'll post some pictures for everyone. We're going to some neat places that I've never been to before. Most of it is in Arizona. After a week in my home-town, the two remaining weeks are spent in The Grand Canyon, the Petrified Forest, and the Meteor Crater then Breckenridge, CO before hitting Las Vegas, then back to California. I've been to the last three, but the first will be a treat. It'll also be neat to go to the house I grew up in -- I haven't been back in so long.
In other news . . . I sent in my first story submission to a fandom magazine! I can't even write the name I'm so nervous. I really hope they like my story enough. I'd really love to get published within the fandom.
Cross your fingers/paws/claws/feathers/flippers for me and wish me luck.
*Does jittery cat dance*
Fortunately I have lots of other stories I can work on to distract me. That's just as exciting, because I have some fun stuff I can't wait to share with you.
Thank you everyone for all your readership and support. You guys rock!
