I am asking desperately if anyone would like art done. If you follow me, and have been debating maybe getting a sketch commission or simple artwork or something more in depth - however much you can afford! - now is the time.
Right now I'm offering $15 icon sketches, $20 simple color sketches and $25 bust sketches, that means shoulders up? Maybe with a hand gesture, like thumbs-up, etc? If you have an idea for something you'd like, feel free to drop me a Note and I can give you my discord so we can talk!

Posted a year agoit may not mean much to anyone, but I FINALLY passed my Road Test at the third try. This is a huge step for me. I've never had a driving license. In another time I would have given up, threw in the towel, and consigned myself to those reliant on shitty public transportation. But now I have to start hunting down some good prices for car insurance. I have to get her registered, and inspected as I am its new owner, and I'm so fucking happy and relieved (and somewhat annoyed that it took me three entire tries to do it)... but it's done!
Tomorrow I'm going to make some phone calls and shop around. Hopefully by 1st of this month my life will be changing for just a little bit better.

My tablet pen...
Posted a year agoAnyone else have an XP Pen 12 tablet? I bought screen protectors for it, and it worked fine for awhile, but... now I'me xperiencing total sensitivity loss and sometimes it doesn't even, like.. register the pen at all. And it's been making my process really slowa nd my line art chunky and crappy. I don't know what to do. Do I change the screen protector? Get a new pen? What do I do?

Posted a year agoI did NOT pass my Road Test on my birthday.
My friend did not realize her tire was so flat, that she has actually destroyed said tire. She was probably driving on it flat for a long time and didn't notice it was horrible. When we got to the test site, we told the tester, and he said to go fill it up with air because it wasn't safe. I was so pissed at my friend. However I was still able to take the test. I simply thought if we didn't make it back in a reasonable time, he would force us to reschedule but that was not the case. I was so nervous by the time I got back... well, all in all, I fucking failed the test ... supremely. So I'm taking it again May 2nd, but my first friend's car tire needs to be replaced and she isn't sure how she can manage it. I have no money. So I have another friend who is holding onto my car for me for when I get it registered, etc. who is taking me out to practice that area today because there is no way I'm going to retake this road test four times or whatever the average. I couldn't even really fully enjoy my sushi lunch on my birthday, since I took the test in the morning.
Anyway. That's my life right now.

Posted a year agoI have 3 separate doctors appointments (none of them are for me) coming up this month. 3 days in a row. I have a personal family matter at court. And then the eclipse... AND my birthday... AND doing my driving road test... which is happening ON my birthday. I'm feeling very overwhelmed and alone.... and I don't want to burden anyone in my life with it, because I'm always afraid of hearing 'other people have it worse', or that my anxiety is minimalized.
I just don't know how I'm going to deal with all of this.
