Future of Net Neutrality: NEVER SURRENDER
Posted 8 years agoRealistically speaking, if the FCC does vote to repeal Net Neutrality protections, the effect will not be immediate. It will take time, going through several hurdles before being approved, as with all major governmental decisions here in the United States. Despite this, it is NOT a sign of defeat. It means that we, as a people, need to fight HARDER. GET LOUD. GET ANGRY. GET FREAKING PISSED!!!!!!
However, we must also be polite. Be courteous. Be nonviolent. Be relatively civil. Let us not devolve into bomb throwing anarchism here. Let us NOT give the government and big internet a reason to give themselves sympathy. What we should do is to go out and continue to protest, no matter the weather, no our circumstances, just go out into the streets and let our voices be heard. The foremost goal is to let our combined voices be loud enough that they drown out the vocal minority, to show that there is a majority, and that majority IS NOT SILENT.
If the FCC votes not to repeal Net Neutrality protections, it does NOT mean the fight is over. It will be a major victory, yes, but the war will continue. As long as the big ISPs continue to try to swindle the common people by trying to bribe the government, as long as people like Trump and Pai are in office, the war will never be over. We must continue to fight, and keep our voices heard.
Thus, it is important that we contact our Congress and continuously tell them that Net Neutrality is an inalienable RIGHT we the American people have.
