Iron Artist Update #10 - It is finished
Posted 11 years agoThank you all for your ideas once again. I'm happy that I was able to get into this and experience different races to draw. I also managed to get a grip on couple of good drawing techniques :) Though I still have a lot to learn.
What I still need to take a deeper look at:
The further limbs' connection to the body
The further face
More hands
More expressions
Muscles
Different poses
Hyper rumps
Those are what came into my mind for now. There are probably more to look at, but these shall be in the higher priority.
When will I draw or stream again? Who knows. For now I need to focus onmy other school projects, two which are due in a month. Shouldn't be hard, although the 3D modelling might go in tight.

Posted 11 years agoSorry for my inactivity again. I'm trying to do that I do at least one pic a day - once I get rid of this little sickness I got on friday: Fever, sore throat, headache and running nose. Nothing that special when I get sick though. I'll hopefully get to draw in tuesday again!

Sorry for inactivity
Posted 11 years agoBlah, I feel shit really. I still need to do Iron Artist things, but Finland has had now a 2-week long heat days. Each day always 25+ C (over 75 F) and my room having always over 28 (over 80 F) with no air conditioning, and no fan now due to it broke yesterday...

Posted 11 years agoSo, half of the pictures are now done. 45 more to go. Let's see how well I cna still manage to continue this.
At least one thing I've found out when doing this challenge: My sketching speed has increased greatly. Now to just focus on some techniques like better expressions, clothes, hands and so on. Shouldn't be hard, at least with some tutorials I've found.
In the meantime, I should try to start on my 3D model project, so I need to do a concept art for that. Hope it isn't that hard though...

Posted 11 years agoSo, 40% of the challenge has been done now. So far I'm just trying to balance between making my Word Project and drawing. Though I still have to start the 3D model project. So yeah, still busy here. If I still can I will draw one more picture today, even though it's 4:30 am
In the mean time, I'm waiting for an answer from
nero-th. I tried to draw their sona but it just looked too ugly (I just can't draw sonic-styled characters). It's been about a week now. If they don't answer during this weekend, I will give up on their slot to another one, which is most likely going to be a closed request.

Posted 11 years agoSo, I've noticed I have a bit of problems with limbs now. Good that it shows now so that I can study how to draw them well again.
Anyways, I might not be able to draw, or at least upload the pics, into FA almost the whole next week, starting from thursday. I'm heading back to my parents' place to celebrate the midnight summer. Moreover, if I drew at that time, expect hand drawn pictures than digital.

Posted 11 years agoWell, I didn't expect a flood of requests really o_o 70 requests in 3 days. Hooly...
Thank you all who have give their idea already. I'll look forward to draw them. Currently my drawing pace is about 2 sketches per day, so I should be done with all requests in 45 days from this day on.
Also, I also apologize for all whose idea I have rejected. Thing is...
1. I'm not comfy about drawing adult art just yet. I will inform when this happens though. But for now, I'll still just learn things first. I doubt that many people would want to see an adult pic which doesn't look good anatomically.
2. I've yet to study muscles that well still. I know the very basics of them, like where the biggest muscles are, but I haven't drawn any of them. As much as this challenge would've been a great opportunity to do so, I'm afraid that the requester might've disappointed to the weak performance in muscles.
3. MLP/Sonic. I'm not against this in a way that I hate you if you like it. I'm cool with that. I mean, it's still something people like about, much as other kinks. But, It's something I refuse to draw still. I'm not sure if it would fit my style.
4. Anime/Human. This is just something I just draw badly, which I have to practise sooner or later.
5. Game characters just makes me uncomfy when I see it being drawing with a kink. What I mean is that drawing someone like Megaman, Metroid or Sackboy being inflated is just something I gringe at. You made your own Bowser? Okay, cool. I can do that. Just not someone people recognizes immediately. Playable characters usually are something I won't draw, as liek I said in the example. There are exceptions of course, so ask me about these. As a thumb rule: If it's your own OC based on a game character, I'm fine. If it's the original character, no thanks.
ANYWAYS, there are no more slots available. All 90 slots have been filled

Posted 11 years agoWell, I've decided to go ahead and try this out.
Iron artist is a simple challenge: do 100 pictures in a certain time. For me, it'd be 3-4 months.
During this time I am planning that people can commission me if they want a sketch, inked or a flat-colored pic from me.
The prices are:
Sketch: 1 € (1.5 $)
Inked: 2 € (3 $)
Flat-colored: 3 € (4.5 $)

I also must ask this: Please spread about this. I do wish I'd get as many commissions as possible, just for the different ideas
