Sheldon's surgery went well. I will spare the details, but I will say the removed object was much bigger than I expected.

He is a little tired from the ordeal, but he is healthy otherwise. He is acting a little more like himself already and started purring as soon as he saw me. I've already started taking precautions in the house so this doesn't happen again, but I'm also hoping that he comes out of this a bit smarter as well.

He will have to wear the cone of shame for 10-14 days until his stitches come out.

I'm waiting to see how much of the bill is covered by insurance so I can know my next move on offering Commissions to help over it.

So my cat Sheldon, as beloved as he is, is also a dumbass and got into some things that he shouldn't have and now likely has a stomach blockage that he will need surgery for. He's scheduled to go in for it tomorrow morning.

Thankfully I do have pet insurance for him, so most of the cost will be covered. There will be some that I will need to pay out of pocket for.

I'm not sure what I'll have to cover myself but I will likely be offering up some discount commissions or selling some fursuits that I've made for practice. Or both.

Super Secret Project Reveal
I mentioned a while ago that I was working on a super secret project. Well, the time has come for me to reveal what it is.
It is a cookbook, written from the perspective of one of my chef characters with loads of fun recipes and illustrations. Cooking is one of my passions other than art, so it's a fun little personal project that I'm working on. When I'm done, it will be full of over a hundred recipes that I've picked up over the years and will contain everything from breakfast to main courses to desserts! I've been working hard on this project so I hope to have it ready to sell by the end of the year! There are a few pages of the book up on patreon for anyone who wants to check it out. I've been trying to upload a recipe page a week there, but obviously they won't get every page since I want people to buy the book. :p

Coloring Book
I'm still working on my all bird coloring book, but it has been put on the backburner until I finish the cookbook since that's been consuming a huge chunk of my personal art time. I'm so passionate about the cookbook that I want to finish that before coming back to this project.

Personal Art
Once again, the cookbook has been consuming my personal art time for a while now. But I'm still trying to finish at least one personal illustration a week.

Fursuits
After a few months break, I'm working on fursuits again! I am going to be working on another personal suit for next year's Anthrocon, but aside from that I'm also making a few premades. I'm planning to sell most at AC next year, but I may put a couple up for auction on Dealer's Den. As usual, Patreon members will get progress pictures but I'll post some of the finished suits on my Fursuit account.

Adoptables
I've decided that after I finish the Spyro trilogy, I'm going to hang up the 16 bit Anthros series for a while. I've been running that series for several years and want to do a different series for a bit. It will be a while before I get to that, since I still need to finish adopts for the second and third games. But I do know what series will take its place and it's been met with approval from my friends.

I'm also considering testing the water with male adoptables. I've always been hesitant to do so since my male characters don't get nearly enough attention as my females, but I want to see how this does since I do enjoy drawing male characters just as much. (Hint: Want me to draw more male characters? Give more attention to them when I upload them so I know that's what people want to see!)

Comics
Possibly a series with Selene, Rooibos or Althea. I've been a bit burned out when it comes to writing, so I'll have to come up with a decent script, which is easier said than done at this point.

Life
Mostly "Same Shit Different Day". I don't have any spectacular news to report on this front. I'm considering trying for a Dealer's Den table at AC next year since I think I'm going to be outgrowing Artist's Alley with the amount of things I want to sell.

Just a quick note that a couple people forgot to pickup their artwork from my table at Anthrocon, just know that I still have them and can mail them for you for free. Just send me a note telling me what you commissioned so I'll know it's you.

Yup! I will be there!
I will be in artists alley all three days, so I will be super easy to find, so feel free to come and say hi. I consider myself to be friendly and easy to talk to.

What will you be selling?
The usual. I will have my book of prints and I will be taking sketch commissions. And for the first time at a con, I will be taking colored commissions! I will also have a few of my comics for sale as well.

In the art show, I will also have a few pieces up for sale including three partial fursuits and a bunch of original art and few limited edition prints.

Safety
I am fully vaccinated and boostered. Hugs are okay, but please ask first. I am shy and have anxiety so surprise hugs are not appreciated.

Fursuit
I will be wearing my flying bison fursuit around in the evenings. I have a full suit but depending on how I'm feeling I may be wearing her as a partial with either the Kyoshi warrior outfit or "cabbage appreciation society" tee shirt.

Once again, please ask for hugs! This goes doubly so when I am in costume since it is a realistic suit with limited vision. If you try to hug me without asking you will likely succeed in scaring me and I will not be happy.

As it says on the tin. I currently have no power at my house and I don’t know when it will be back on since power has been knocked out throughout my state and My area is usually low on the priority list to get back online.

Okay, so I've gotten some feedback, and I've decided to go ahead with both projects. So here's a little detail about each:

BIRBZ Coloring Book:
One of my friends flat out demanded that I make this happen, so I'm making it happen. I spent a good bit of time yesterday coming up with a list of birds/themes and I can honestly say I'm happy with what I came up with and even did a couple of test pages last night, which I was once again happy with!

I have decided that there will be at least 30 colorable pages, though I'd like to do more than that. They will be one sided with a pattern on the back so one can use markers or paints without worry that it will bleed through to the picture on the back.

I can't make a promise on when it will be finished since it's a lot of pages for me to do and they are all going to be relatively detailed but my goal is to have them finished to sell during convention season next year. I'm speculating that the price of the book will be around $15.

I won't say much more since I don't want to ruin any surprises, but I will say that I'm purposefully picking species and themes that will be fun to color!


Bird Adoptable Base
I'm going through with this as well even though I didn't have any flat out demands like I did for the book! My goal with this is to provide an adoptable base to encourage people to create more anthro birds with a wider variety of species.

My specific plan for the starting bird base is a female base with interchangeable beaks, wings, tails feet and hairstyles so a variety of species can be made from hawks and ravens to lesser used species like cassowaries, quetzals, penguins and chickens. I also have a few bonus surprises for the base to personalize characters even more.

If the starter base does well I would like to make "expansion packs" to provide even more species variety as well as a male base.

Like with the book, I can't give a specific date on when I will have it finished, but it is much less involved to make than the coloring book so I will probably get that one out quicker. I'm not sure about price, but it will have a crapton of content, so probably around the $25-$30 range.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of my watchers. Especially those that commission me and subscribe to my Patreon. It's been a crazy year for everyone, and thanks to you guys, I was able to power through things.

I may be getting grumpier as I get older, but I truly do care about each and every person who watches me.

Now, onto the updates.

I've actually been mulling around with the idea of potentially doing an anthro bird themed coloring book and adoptable base since I always believe that the anthro world needs moar birbs.

If I go for it, the base will be customizable with different beak, wing, feet and tail shapes so a variety of birds can be created. It will be available for both personal use and for those tho purchase it to make their own adoptables to sell.

The coloring book... well, I haven't hammered out all the details of it, yet. I will probably include male and female bird anthros and it will contain a variety of bird species, but other than that I'm still deciding on how I'm going to go about it.

I'm open to hearing suggestions on one or both of the ideas since both are in the pre-planning stages.

Just a quick update to say that there will be some delays. My tablet pen went FUBAR to the point where it's practically unusable and I need to fight with it to make any art. A new one is on the way, but I won't have it until Tuesday or Wednesday (Thank you Amazon Prime!)

Until the new one comes in, I'll only be working on art that I don't need to use my tablet pen to create for my own sanity. Sadly that means that commissions and the next page of Diplomatic Immunity are on hold for a few days. Adoptables will be on time this week, since I was able to finish them before becoming too frustrated to continue.

I had hoped to power through the art I owe people over the next few days. However, I just received my second Covid shot yesterday so that's thrown a spammer in the works.

Typically, my immune system is a beast and most things have little to no effect on me, good or bad since I apparently have the healing factor of Wolverine. (Seriously, when I had lasik surgery done I was given a double dose of Valium and it still had zero effect on me).

However, I am Wolverine and not Superman. While I'm not as sick as everyone else I know who received their second poke, I'm still feeling a bit lethargic.

I'm going to spend today (and maybe tomorrow) chilling and doing personal art at my own pace. This also means that there is going to be a delay on posting the next page of diplomatic immunity on Patreon.

I've been wanting to draw some kaiju for a while now, so I figured that I would make it an ongoing series and add a new one whenever I have the desire/time to draw them.

So, I'm asking if there are any in particular that you, my watchers want to see happen.

Ones I have planned so far:
- I will be kicking off the series with my personal two favorite kaiju, Gamera and Mr. Stay Puft. This is a definite.
- It would't be a kaiju series without some of the most famous Toho creations. Gojira, Ghidora, Mothra and Rodan will all be drawn at some point.
- Clover and King Kong will probably be drawn, but aren't a priority to me.
- I'm open to kaiju that I'm not as familiar with, such as those from Pacific Rim. Though, once again, they aren't priorities.
- Since the Gamera movies are my favorite kaiju movies I will probably be drawing the villains of the series at one point. (Come on... Barugon and his "rainbow of death" are to amazing/hilarious to not draw).

Sooo... it turns out that I have come into contact with someone who tested positive for COVID.

I have a friend that comes to my house once a week for dinner. (We are both meticulous about social distancing and keeping things clean and neither of us socialize much so we have both been as safe as possible.)

He was at my house three days before symptoms started showing up. He got tested but today the results came back positive.

I should be in the clear since it has been almost exactly 14 days since I’ve last seen him with no sign of illness. But better be safe than sorry; i have an appointment to be tested tomorrow.

There is still a chance that I may have it, so if I drop off the internets for a little while then I’m probably out recovering.

I will still be spending my Chrimbo social distancing. Merry Christmas to me, I guess.
