Hey all!
Hope you’re staying safe and Corona free.

I figured that since it’s been a while since I did some updates. so I thought I’d give some insight into my current status Since there are a few important things I’ve been working on.

Like a lot of people, things have been crazy for me with the state of the world as it currently is. My mind has been all over the place, so a lot of the projects that I normally do over the summer had been put on the backburner. Mostly my yearly calendar. I’m still going through with the female (and hopefully male) calendar for the year, I’m just starting later than normal. Signups have been posted on Patreon and they have claimed their spots so the rest of the spots will be opening up to the public shortly!

I will also be (finally) opening up sales of The Doctors Call graphic novel to the public Soon. Sorry it took me so long to do this. I really have no excuse other than the fact my mind has been on a million things at once, which I believe is understandable due to the current state from the world. I have been well under way with illustrating my next graphic novel, The Blind Man’s Tale though it has been slow going this month since I have been focusing my art time on art that I owe other people. I hope to have my nose back to the grindstone with it as soon as I get commissions and patreon rewards out of the way.

I have also been playing around with working on Fursuits and I’m really pleased with the results. My Patreon peeps have seen lots of WIPs on the suits I’ve been working one. Plus one my my finished suits. It’s been too dang hot to take pictures of Fursuits (or raining on the days that it is not too hot) but I hope to have more pictures once it’s cooled down a bit. I am planning on posting them publicly when they are ready to go up for sale; I’m currently in the process of getting my Etsy page looking presentable. And I’m considering making a separate Furaffinity account just for Fursuits, though on DeviantArt they will be posted to my main account.


I‘d also like to throw out a reminder to please monitor your kids online interactions with others. My friends and I had my daily laugh fest due to a kid who got butthurt that I politely asked him not to do something than proceeded to tell me to leave the furry fandom and deviantArt... basically making a jackass of himself.

But I digress. Apologies for leaving You guys in the dark about what I have been up to lately but I do promise that there are some big things coming.

Just stay safe in this crazy world. I may be a reclusive grump at times, but I really do Genuinely care about each and every one of you!

I know I just seemed to drop off the face of the earth this week. The reason is that I pretty much have. We had some major storms go through the midwest (where I live) on Wednesday and Thursday. I’ve been without power at my house since early Wednesday afternoon. The high winds knocked over a massive willow tree on my street and took out two phone poles with it. And that’s just the damage I can immediately see.

It is thanks to my parents letting me charge my iPhone/iPad/wifi in their RV combined with the power I have at work that I even have internet to write this now.

Needless to say that comic updates on Patreon have been nonexistent. And unless power comes back on before tonight (haha) there will be no adoptable this week. If I continue to be without power for the next few days then I can still post my next assignment for OC training since it’s in my sta.sh.

Hopefully this issue resolved sooner than later but since the power company seems to be sitting around with their thumbs up their asses, I have no clue. But I will start making art again as soon as I can.

Hey all. Hope you’re continuing to stay safe.

It just dawned on me that I only have a few levels left to go in the game gear version of sonic 2... then sonic 3... then what? I’m having a ton of fun doing the series, so I’m not quite ready to shelf it for the time being. I have a few ideas on where to go afterwards. Maybe some old school game fans would like to weigh in on what they’d like to see.

Keep in mind that I’m mostly sticking to what is nostalgic to myself. So I’m mostly going to be focusing on games from the genesis era, since that’s what I played the most growing up... but I did play other systems, so non-sega games not out of the realm of possibility.

If I wanted to keep going with sonic games, here’s a few ideas:
-Sonic Chaos- I had that game and played the hell out of it. Some of the levels are really cool and may make for some fun anthro inspiration.
-Sonic Spinball - I owned this game, but it wasn’t my favorite. It may be fun to explore the levels here because, from what I understand, a lot of people didn’t finish the first level.
-Sonic Unleashed Daytime Levels - AKA the good levels. It’s a shame that they weren’t in a better game. The reason why I’m considering doing this is because this game has one of my favorite sonic levels (Dragon Road).

If I wanted to branch out into other games:
-Nights into Dreams - It is very possible that I do this game for the series at one point since it is a very meaningful game to me. Right before my older brother moved out of my parent house, he received a Saturn for Christmas and we played this game a lot together.
-Spyro PS1 Trilogy - Because these games were my high school years.
-Mario Kart - Might be fun.
-Battletoads - Wind Tunnel based anthro, anyone? 😖

Other possibilities include Donkey Kong Country and Yoshi’s Island, but since these two games have so many levels, I’d probably only pick a select few levels to make adoptables from.

First the bad news.
The one corona death that has been recorded In My hometown so far was my high school English Teacher. She was a good teacher, but a strict one who wouldn’t accept anything but the best. Truth be told, I wouldn’t be the writer I was today without her being in my life so I’m a bit depressed about it at the moment.

I need some time to reflect, but I will continue to draw during this time, but mostly art that I owe others and maybe play around with my personal work for stress relief. But because of this, I won’t be making adopts this week.

Now the good news:
The Doctor’s Call comic was successfully funded and has been shipped off to the printer.
Despite the company that prints my comics being in Plymouth (a suburb of Detroit, the city in my state that was slammed by Covid 19) there doesn’t seem to be any delays on the printing. Hopefully in a month or so, it will be available to those who missed the Kickstarter that want a copy.

The kickstarter for the Doctor's Call, a TF/Body-horror scifi comic has reached it's goal (WOO!) but still has a few days left!

What a difference a few weeks makes, huh?

I am doing fine. My state has been one of the hardest hit by the virus (Michigan). Although one of the first few cases in the state was diagnosed in a hospital five minutes away from the store that I own, I am in a part that hasn’t been hit very hard... all things considered.

Like many places, non-essential businesses have been shut down here, but since my store is related to animal care, it is deemed essential so I’m remaining open, albeit with fewer hours and more restrictions for customers to provide food to birds who need it. I’ll be damned if I let birds go hungry during this time, so I will continue things this way as long as I can.

I’ve been using the extra time to work on art for upcoming shows.

Hey everyone! I figured that I’d give a quick update about things that I am currently working on and upcoming attractions.

The Doctor’s Call Comic/Kickstarter
I am finishing up my 150ish page beast of a transformation/body horror comic/dark humor and will be getting it ready to send it off to print. Since it is such a massive comic, this is going to be expensive for me to print. So to help with the costs, I am going to run a kickstarter in the next few days to help with the finances. You will have a chance to get some cool loot from it, so if that kind of thing interests you, please consider helping to support the project!

TOS Update
I am working on revising my TOS for commissions. Not much is really changing, I’m just taking the opportunity to condense things and make it a little clearer.

Diplomatic Immunity
Since I’ve recently been asked about this, yes I am planning on continuing this comic. My priority has been The Doctor’s Call, but now that that’s wrapping up, I’d like to spend more time with Diplomatic Immunity before moving on to my next large comic project.

It is also the month of Love Day. Valentines themed commissions will include free radiant coloring.

Since I actually dislike Love Day, I am also running a special on “anti Valentine’s Day” commissions that will include free radiant coloring plus 25% off. What is an anti love day theme? Anything that shows disdain for the holiday or themes including 50% off Valentine’s Day candy. This idea is pretty loose, so you can get creative with the theme.

Every year, I always hear people say "I can't wait for this year to be over". While it's an expression I fully understood, it's not something that I experienced up until the last third of 2019. My store mascot passed away, then my Grandmother, then my friend's father and then my uncle Mike three days before Christmas. So things have been hitting me one after the other, so yes, I can't wait for this horrid year to be over.

I am coping with things and looking to the future with ways to better myself, my bird store and my art. We are expecting five new babies at the store this Friday and I'm putting in motion plans to improve my Patreon.

I’m going to be a bit of reorganizing when it comes to rewards. Mostly, there will be more content.

$1 people will be able to see weekly adoptables two days before I publicly post them. However, only $5 and up patrons will be able to bid on them.

$5 and up patrons Will get the addition of fursuit updates. I plan on making Fursuits as a side hobby, including a full fursuit of my fursona over the winter.

$20 And up patrons will have access to the azure wheel chronicles. The first two comics, Trides Imperial Hospital and Milk Run will be posted in early January in their entirety as PDF files. I’m 2/3 done with the third comic, Doctors call, so it would be stupid of me to bombard people with almost 100 pages at once, so I’m going to post it as a PDF file when it’s completed. Starting with the forth comic, pages will be posted individually after my co-writer proofreads them.

I will be removing the resources reward since there was never much interest in it and I haven’t kept up with it, so even on that front, not much has changed.

I would also like to complete labels for my Intrepid Brews teas and finally get that launched.

So I took my car in because I thought it was leaking gasoline. It isn't, thankfully... since the repair bill would have been through the roof. However, when the mechanic was looking things over, he found a few things that do need to addressed.

Most notably, the front ball joint. That repair bill on it's own won't be too bad. However, I've been putting off getting my blower motor fixed for quite some time. And since winter is pretty much already here, I'd like to get that fixed while the mechanic has it.

I’ve been a bit slow lately, but it’s been a crazy week.

My birthday was last Sunday. A very belated thank you for the birthday wishes and llamas.

Then two days later, my grandmother passed away.
No need for condolences. She was a few months short of 100 years old and lived a very good life. For these reasons, there were very few tears at the funeral. We all knew that it was her time to go.

On top of all that, it’s been craziness at the bird store.

Now that the insanity is behind me, I’m going to dedicate the next week to finishing up the pile of commissions that I owe people, so it will be nose to the grinder.

One of my twice-a-year treks through Ohio to visit Kings Island and Cedar Point is coming up (and one of the things I need to pay for is my season pass for next year) and funds are tight at the moment, so I'm currently opening a commission special to help fund the trip so I can have a nice time! These special prices will be open until sometime in mid October, which is when I normally take the trip.
