General | Posted 3 years agoI have decided that square bowls are superior to round ones when it comes to eating soup and cereal. It is SO NICE to be able to just direct the broth into my mouth like a milk carton pouring out. Beautiful.

General | Posted 3 years agoI decided to break out my amazon pet wish list. Been debating whether to post one or not. Let me know if there is anything I should add onto here.
This list I put cat stuff at the top, but it also has some things i've had for my dog and rabbits since forever as well. I figured this could help ease a little bit of the things I need with four kittens. Not quite sure about everything I'll need, but priority right now I think would be the wet food. Cajun is specifically being more picky than the others on dry food in the afternoon, and he's not been growing as fast as the others.
Cat litter will not be on this list because holy hell, amazon litter is 4x more expensive than the local farmer's store (I use Pellets+Cedar chips because it smells better and holds pee in instead of sinking to the bottom). That pricing is rediculous. pet foods, toys, carriers, and stuff are basically the same in price, but cat litter is horrendously priced for online ordering. ew.
They have appointments scheduled for September to get their shots n stuff. That's all the news I think I have for these guys right now. More than one kitten at a time is a lot of more stuff than I'm used to.

The things I have done recently in the past week involving the cats are this; learn their personalities, help my Cat Cabbage with her trauma with the help of kittens, and teach them tricks. This is such a lovely batch of kittens, and they're also being so helpful to Cabbage, too.
Cabbage
Cabby has Trauma relating to the feline species, so she is scared of other cats. Throughout this week I have been doing positive reinforcement training to help her. Kittens are very magical beings as it has been helping Cabbage a LOT. She has been slowly trying on her own to get closer and play with them even though she's scared of cats. Every time she does a good interact, I have been giving her treats, and we are at the point where she has begun to loaf in the area, let one up to her at a time for a short while, and even coming out into the living room. I can see her wanting to play so bad with the kittens, and it has been so amazing to watch.
Tricks
I've only been trying for two days, but I have a bit of an understanding who has a big, bulbous brain and who has a wasteland in the brain cell area. Currently, I am working on Come, Sit, and Paw. Serra is Big enormous brain power. She has caught on to all three of these in just two days and gets an A+ in her grades. Cajun gets a B as his learning is slower, but progressing steadily already. He has Come here very well, and is barely grasping sit but doing it. Raph is a bit hard to grade because he doesn't listen to me well, but will Kaioku so I'll be letting him handle his training. For me, Raph is at a D as he knows come, but won't come to me always. Ignores Sit entirely. Matty gets Fs across the board. He is soooo hyper that he can't concentrate to do tricks. He doesn't even know Come or his name yet. He is too busy going a million miles an hour.
Cajun: Extremely Loving, Cuddle bug, Scared to be alone, Naps with others are excellent, MEAAAAAAAOW
Rapheal: Hold me, Jello cat, Beeps, Hold me again, Climbs everywhere, kiss me
Matty: Energy like a Nuclear Power Plant, No think only play, likes sleeping in tight places, thinks he's smaller than he actually is, Pet my head for one second plz, now nyoom
Serrano: Kisses to give, Big Brain, Wants to play, No up only ground, feeeeeeeeeeet mlem mlem

🌱STray Cats good n Bad News
General | Posted 3 years agoI have good and Bad news about the stray, banana. First the bad news. I have not seen Banana for 2 whole days, going on three. I fear for Banana. And the Goodish? News? I have been left with four whole Kittens I found yesterday. Banana was a Mom. This is why I think Banana not being home is bad news. She was coming 3x a day. She had Kittens. She hasn't been here for 2 days and the kittens came out to look for food. I fear the worst for Banana because it doesn't seem right that a mom cat hasn't come for her kittens for this long.
I have captured three of the four kittens she has left me with. They were very hungry and thirsty. THe final one is very shy and smart, so I haven't been able to catch the last. The three we have right now have very prominent personalities as well. The three i have are all orange boys I'm pretty sure.
#1: very SPicy. Spicy Cajun kitten. Hisses every chance he gets. Bit my finger. Wants to eat always, and needs a lot of work to socialize him. He is a problem child who knows not what love is. Only anger beans. He is holdable, and pett-able, he just likes to complain a lot.
#2: A Big boy. Pooped on me immediately. He looks like he got the most care. He also feels like he would make a great house cat as he's pretty confident in himself already. Eats and drinks well. Very soft fur. I think I'll be able to find him a home pretty quick once he's ready.
#3: Seems like the runt. This boy is slow witted, quiet, and very passive. He also seems to still think he's a new kitten as he's suckling while eating wet food. I worry for this one, so he may get a bit more attention to try to get him to be more confident.
#4: The only one who's brown furred. The most quick witted kitten who has escaped capture. This one is smart and shy at the same time. very alert to their surroundings.

For a like two weeks i've just been relaxing to jellyfish floating around. They're really cute. I especially love the ones that are sleeping as a pancake and just drifting past. These ones are white with small tentecles. I like these ones a lot. There is another stream of different, longer, Pink Jellies too. If you would rather watch the long dendrils woosh across Stream. It's been nice to just have something on floating about and relaxing between everything going on.
PS: I have two commissions to do. Need to wait for my arm to not feel like a piece of ham before i draw so it doesn't feel like a Crinkle fry afterwards. C'mooon arm, you can do it. Stop feeling like ham.

🌱 Remo update - Good
General | Posted 3 years agoUpdate on the boy after a week of medicines. He is looking a lot better this week. He has been moving and running around more, and hasn't made ouchy noises just from sitting up. His back/bum still hurts him though. It was a bit difficult to give him a bath, but Lucky he loves baths.
He goes back to the vet next week to see how he's doing. I get this feeling he may need longer to heal up since his back/bum is still tender to him, but otherwise he is still getting better every day. (He got a skin infection, and also the vet found he had a tick disease he's being treated for as well. For the curious.)

🌱Grey Tabby Cats
General | Posted 3 years agoA question of pure curiousity. I have had 2 black & grey tabby cats in my life, and they have both had a smokey natural scent to them (especially so if they get a bit of water on them). But I've had other cats, too, orange tabby, grey/grey tabby, and a white/orange splotchy and they never had the smoky smell. Do Black/Grey tabbies smell smoky, or did I just happen to have two cats with very similar natural scents (Different time periods in my life).
((<u< no, im not going to get more grey tabbies just to sniff them and find out. AS MUCH AS CATS ARE CUTE i cannot have more than i have now. aaaag, cats are so cute. It is so hard to not bring more home all the time.))

🌱Sumac, vent, and leafeon
General | Posted 3 years agoHiya, I'm doing a lot better today from my last post. I ended up getting poison sumac all over myself during my online vacation, though. My Goooosh, it is super not fun at all. it itches, it feels like constant nettles, the bubbles constantly seep. 0/10 really pretty frikken awful stuff. I think one of the spots may leave a scar. Be careful where you dig in the yard so you don't accidentally hit a sumac tree root.
Anyways, I am going to return slowly starting with a small amount of the vent pages i drew up during the month. only a few. And also, the Leafeon is finished and I'll be releasing that on Friday. I have three different forms of it.

🌱Update with info this time
General | Posted 3 years agoFirstly, I am currently offline from all social medias including where you are reading this now. So, if you do leave a comment, I won't be getting around to any of them for quite a while. Wanted to start with that so folks know.
The Break
It be a mental health break. Left only the Hiatus real quick with no big explanation because it was a need as soon as possible. I went into a state of absolute paranoia where brain thought everything would kill me (to simplify things). So, all socials are logged out, limiting what types of things I watch online to games and movies, and such. Yeah. Not much for me to say right now. Just drawing a lot of personal stuff and watching my garden grow plants. Lots I won't be posting because extremely personal art, but maybe a few. I'll be continuing this Online 'vacation' for a while. I most certainly still am not in an okay enough state, but a relatively stable one. And yeah, i'm taking the slow steps of getting Dr help (if the next one won't ghost me like the last time i tried).
So yeah, talk to you guys all later.

I was figuring I wanted to stream minecraft for my birthday and hang out and chitter, but that's on markiplier's In Space release, so Saturday is better. I be planning to Stream my Minecraft on Saturday this week, April 2 at 9am EST.
I plan to work on building a bit in the overworld. I have a whole second story of a house to build. Already gathered a bunch of supplies for it, so i shouldn't have to grind material. Even if so, it'd just be trees, so it wouldn't take too long.

General | Posted 3 years agoHow's your day going? Mine is going well. I Took my cat for a walk and worked on my commission's Mesh today. While I was streaming 5 plants I planted popped out of the ground already. Tenacious fellas. Bok Choy sprouts like immediately. Wanted to try cooking some I grow myself. I'm going to try to set up a raised garden outside sometimes soon, and also Plant the Holly hocks up the driveway. Very excited for those ones. The tulips I planted in the fall are coming up. Happy.

🌱Remo(dog) scare. But it looks okay now. [medical]
General | Posted 3 years agoGosh frik, today was quite the morning. Remo somehow managed to rip one of his toenails off, and there was just blood EVERYWHERE. Me and Kaioku Spent the whole morning getting it to stop while on the phone with the vet. Luckily right now since we got it to stop bleeding we don't have to go to the vet. At first I thought I was the only one in my house when this was going on, but luckily I wasn't alone because There is no way I can handle Remo by myself. He normally does not let people touch his feet and it takes two people to tustle with his paws.
His foot is now covered in Starches, Napkins, Socks and medical tape. He's laying down with a super bummed looking face. Will be tending to this idiot for a while it seems. Gonna be an absolute fuuuun time taking him out to potty. Hope his nail will heal up quickly and grow back. TuT
