Apologies for not updating here. Between school stuff, friend/family stuff, and trying to get more art things done, it honestly sort of slipped my mind. >>; (Oh boy, was there a lot of schoolwork to focus on this semester... But I got straight A's this time! Woo!)

Anyways, as for the title of this journal, yes, I am moving to Weasyl. FA's been nice, but I'd rather have my art stuff all in one place, as opposed to scattering it across different sites. The folder function is also super-helpful for sorting out my artwork. I hope to upload more things than just anthro art there, such as art of my human characters, fanart, clay sculptures, sewing work, et cetera... Just more of a variety of things in general, I guess. ^^

I may stick around FA to fave and comment, but future art from me will go to my Weasyl gallery. If you've got a Weasyl account, feel free to follow me there! I've finished migrating most of my art to my Weasyl gallery now, as well as uploaded a few new things.

Well, school is back in full swing and the stress levels are rising! oAo Three classes is apparently still quite a load for my feeble brain. :b

On the plus side, I've cleared some hard drive space, and bought a fresh pack of paper! Even Photoshop is starting to cooperate with me again.
Scanning and finishing the images is going to be less convenient now though, since we have a new printer that is.... Less than ideal for scans. Other than that, things are looking up, art-wise! I've even started a couple new drawings, one which is already currently in the coloring phase. :> (Edit 10\8\14: Now I've got to clean up the shading and it should be done! Hopefully will be done by tomorrow, if not tonight.) (EDIT 10/9/14: IT IS DONE!)

Another thing... I know I haven't always responded to watches, faves, and comments, because I haven't been on here much as of late. But I just want to let you know, I really appreciate it! Even if I don't always reply. >>; So I just wanna thank all of you, and hopefully I'll be better at replies in the future ^^;

I just haven't really been drawing much furry art lately, or art in general. I wanna get back on track and start submitting stuff again though. Now hopefully I still have enough paper and hard drive space to draw a few things, seeing as I'm running out of both of those things. Gotta get some paper and an upgrade... Not to mention Photoshop's been uncooperative lately.

But hopefully I can get to work on new things! I've got a few characters I've been wanting to draw, and I think I should start making new art for my older characters...

But first, I guess I should catch up on all the art and journals I missed while I was gone >>;

I'm not sure why but, well.. The title says it all.

Sorry I haven't uploaded much here. :c

I can draw humans just fine, but for anthro characters, I haven't really felt the drive to draw anything. Not sure why.

I know I should draw more of Rita, and make a new ref for Umbra... seriously, that ref is so old now. ^^; Then there's other characters I kind of want to draw, but... For some reason I can never get myself to do so.

And then sometimes, I'll draw something, but never finish it up to an "upload-worthy" state. Just sketches and doodles and such...

Does anyone else feel like this sometimes? Like, they're okay with one type of art, but can't be inspired to do another?
Or ever draw something, but not feel like uploading it?

Although now that I think of it, it feels like I've been in an art slump in general, lately... :/

I know it's a bit late, but I suppose I should make some New Year's resolutions, huh?


...I will resolve to stay awesome. :V

Nah, I kid. Here's what I can think of so far:

- Get a job!
- Sew more plushies and costume stuff.
- Make a new sculpture, and hopefully cast it as well.
- Develop my characters further, and make new references for all of them.
- Learn to drive a manual shift car.
- Fix said car (poor Beetle's been gutted and I never put it back together >>; )
- Relearn the guitar. I think I have to start from the beginning again, it's been so long.
- Learn as many different craft things as I can (cross-stitch, needle-felting, embroidery, beading, etc.)
- Figure out a career path so I'll know what the heck I'm doing in college.
- Hopefully finish my general education courses at my current college, so I can transfer.

I was gone with family for most of today and yesterday, so sorry my journal's a bit late >>;

It was pretty nice to have the family together, we don't see everyone all at once too often, heh. I went to my grandma's house with my mom's family, then my aunt's house with my dad's family. One was peaceful and chill, the other loud and chaotic. XD

Ah, family.
Anyways, not much to say, I guess.

I was going to do a Christmas drawing, but it's a bit late for that now. >>; Ah well, maybe next year.
I really need to work on drawing more...

Man, I hardly did anything this summer. It's only a couple of weeks now until classes start up again.

Let's see... So, this summer, I:

-Went hiking at the wetlands, awesome!
-Went to a museum, also awesome!
-Got four teeth extracted.... Not awesome. Wait, this was before the other two things.
-Got my braces put back on... PAINFUL. Worse than the tooth extraction.
-Went to an observatory. Would have been nicer without the tooth pain.
-Went to the library a couple of times
-Made some new friends. :3

Things I didn't do...

-Go to the southern part of the wetlands. I missed tern nesting season. :c
-Go to the zoo, or the natural history museum.
-Learn how to drive manual shift
-Work on my car
-Order clay and other sculpting supplies
-Make stuffed animals, or sew. At all.
-Work on my videogame
-Finish MGS: Portable Ops, and Peace Walker
-Get a job
-Swim. HOW could I have not gone swimming!? I... I don't even know what to say to that.

Things I sorta did:

-Played The Sims 3
-Worked on some TS3 mods
-Hung out with my friends, but only a couple of times
-Halfway redesigned one character
-Drew, a little bit.

This summer was nice, but I don't feel that I was as productive as I could have been. I mean, I did stuff, fun stuff, but I didn't really make or draw many things. There's a lot of things I told myself I was going to do this summer, and didn't... And I'm worried i won't have time for any of it once the semester starts. I really should push myself to do more of the things on my list...

Hope everyone else's summer has been nice. ^^;

So, no more school for a while! Yay!

...Now to do some work around the house, since we just redid the floors and our furniture/belongings are all out of place... Boo. and because of that, I can't have friends over at the moment. :( I also can't play my PS3 or other consoles because they're all in a box.

On the plus side, my room looks pretty nice now. :3 I just hope I can keep it that way.

I think I did pretty well in most of my classes (I hope,) and I had a lot of fun this semester, especially in Biology. The camping and kayaking trips were awesome, and I got to see two wild snakes on our trips. I also saw some animals I never even knew existed, like the Vermillion Flycatcher.

I also made some characters for my Character Development class, and I like how they turned out. I made a game with one of them for Intro to Gaming, too. :3

Mostly, I didn't do many things this semester besides schoolwork. Now I can hopefully work on personal projects this summer. I'm going to try to find a job, maybe get sculpture supplies, and further develop my characters and my game I made. I'll probably be playing the Sims 3 a lot more too. ^^;

So, uh, other than that, I'm not sure what else to say, really. I hope everyone has a nice summer! (Including me. XD)

Hey everyone. I'm back from the dead. :V

Well, not really, but it's true I haven't been on the mainsite much anymore. I kind of hopped over to the forums and never looked back. >>;

I don't hang out as much with my IRL furry friends (it's only once a week now) so I haven't been too inspired to draw much furry art. So... Yeah. Not much to submit here, really.

Also, school's been keeping me rather busy as well. I'm currently taking Field Biology, Intro to Gaming, Character Development, and Japanese 5 (it's the last Japanese class there is to take here...).

Let me tell you, Field Biology is just AWESOME. I'm so glad I took this class. We have field trips about every other week, and get to see a lot of wildlife. My teacher even had someone bring a Great Horned Owl to our class! His name was Squirt, and he was adorable yet incredible at the same time. The teacher has also brought in her own pet snake for us to hold. I never get to interact with reptiles so I thought it was kinda cool.

Anyways... School is going great. I need to catch up with my work a bit though, so again, I probably won't be around much (not like I was before anyway).

Um, yeah. Hope you are all doing well, and that things are going well for you all. I guess I'll see you around. One of these days I really should start submitting stuff...

Happily, I can say that my computer is fixed, and has been for a while now.

Sadly, I know I haven't been here or updating anything... I just don't get on here much, I guess.

I don't draw much furry art anymore, really. So I haven't really posted anything here. I'm not sure what to do about that, I don't have much inspiration for furry stuff.

And the whole fursuit project is probably going to be postponed indefinitely, unfortunately. I have to redo my entire room, get a job, and buy (a LOT of) supplies in order for that to happen. :| I know the room thing sounds ridiculous, but just trust me on this one. Also, I don't think my parents would be too thrilled on having such a large, bulky costume in my room taking up space...

So yeah, not sure what to do here, since I don't draw much anymore lately. Feeling a bit left out, I guess...

My PC's broken, it's been broken for a few weeks now (actually a few months, but it was still useable back then).

So I haven't been able to respond to stuff and post things and all that... I'm posting from my bro's laptop for now, but I don't get to use it often... :\

Tomorrow though, my uncle will come over, maybe I can ask him for advice on how to fix it. So hopefully I can get it back up and running soon... I semi-fixed it, but now it has no internet access... :\

So, yeah, PC's not working right, but hopefully I can get it fixed soon.

Well, not much has really been going on. So yeah. I scanned a bunch of stuff though, maybe I'll submit something later. I really should stop ignoring this profile. :\ I should submit more art.

I don't think I'm going to be making a fursuit anytime soon. for one thing, I have no job, and therefore no money. I also do not have time right now. And I have no idea where I would store it, my parents would probably be furious. Or, best-case scenario, just weirded out. :\ Oh well.

But anyways, I did scan a few things, but I'm kind of too lazy to clean them up properly.

Well, it's been nearly a year since I last updated my journal. :O



It's also nearly the anniversary of the arson that happened to our church. I'm pretty sure they caught the guy (girl? I don't know) already. I think they got them with federal charges.

Anyways, our church is going to be taken down this week, in order to be completely rebuilt. We've been going to mass in a separate building since the fire. It's not so bad really, if you ignore the disco ball in the ceiling. XD



Also, about the Chocolate Lab we got last year? Bailey's doing just fine, but Sassy's in a better place now...


My uncle's house. (Hey, they treat her like royalty over there.)

We ended up giving her to my aunt and uncle, because:
1) As much as we love sassy, she's too much trouble, and she and Bailey didn't get along well.
2) They just ADORE her, and they also spoil the dogs they already have. XD
3) It's a lot safer for her at their house. She always escapes our yard, and we were always afraid of coyotes eating her. Her new house is much more secure, and coyote-free. :3


So far I'm in the middle of the Spring semester, taking Math 71, Modern History of Asia, and Japanese III.

-History is okay, but we get a LOT of reading assignments. I'm scared of the midterm, I can't remember all this.

-Math is difficult for me, but our professor explains things really well, and gives us lots of pop quizzes to keep us sharp. So I think I'm doing fairly well. The last test we had, I got a B, but it was only because of all the stupid little mistakes I made (not reversing negative and positive signs when multiplying, and other small mistakes). yeah, little things add up.... I'll be more careful next time. >>;

-Japanese is pretty fun, but it is challenging. I don't do well on tests because I forget to study. *facepalm* I think I'll do just fine, as long as I get on the ball when it comes to my study habits. I just don't know what to do for my research project yet...



I don't think I mentioned this, but I also got a new scanner and installed it. It works OK. I miss the old one though. Too bad it died. D:


Also, I've been trying to work on some projects for fun. I've been wanting to make a few costumes (non-fur related), and I want to start sculpting with clay again. I just need a job so I can buy supplies. D:

I'm also still planning my Umbra fursuit. I also have another suit planned. Her (tentative) name is Rita. XD I'll post a pic of her later. So far, I still need to decide on markings for Umbra, and a color scheme for Rita.

I haven't gathered any supplies for fursuits yet, except for some fleece, which I already cut up to make stuffed animals. ^^; Maybe I'll post pics of those as well. Anyways, right now I'm just in the planning stage. At this rate I won't have a fursuit for another two years or so. X( I 'm not even exaggerating... I don't see myself getting this done within the year. *sigh* Oh well. I suppose I shouldn't rush things. But at the same time I should at LEAST get started!


I know this journal is kinda long, but hey! It's been a year!

It's so strange considering my mom just took a walk by our church a few hours ago. Now it's burned. They were working on fixing it too, raising money for roof repairs...

A while ago my brother and his friends were hanging out outside, goofing around, and then I heard my brother come inside. I thought he was coming in to get something, but then I heard him tell my mom, "There's a huge fire outside."

Sounded weird, and I thought he meant in the mountains or something. I went outside to look, and there was a huge blaze a few blocks away. It was surreal to see a fire that big and that close to our home... It just scared me more to see it getting bigger... I told my mom she should call the fire department, and then went to my room.

Soon I heard sirens, and felt less alarmed. Then I saw water being sprayed on it, and felt more calm. For some reason I can't feel to much right now, but I know I'll be alarmed again when I see the church...

I think the fire is out now, but I hear my mom saying she can still see some trees burning. At least it's mostly out, but I hope everyone's okay. my brother says the church next door didn't burn, so that's good. I just hope no one was hurt... Buildings can be replaced, but people cannot...

About a week ago, my computer was infected with something, and now, no matter what I try, it is difficult to start up properly.

For a while it wouldn't start at all due to a missing hal.dll file, so I haven't been using the PC lately.

Today, I'm going to try to backup all our files, and then I'll ask my uncle if he can reinstall Windows. Hopefully having a clean slate will solve the problem.

I've started to like our new dog Bailey, and the rest of my family (and my neighbors) like her too. Sassy (our first dog) is still jealous at times, but she tolerates Bailey more now.

Bailey is a big klutz though, always bumping into us and getting in the way. XD She's a very sweet dog though, and craves attention. She just wants to be near people. Hopefully we can train her well enough so that she won't almost knock people over everytime she greets someone.

Hopefully Sassy will come to accept Bailey as a part of the family, because we're not giving her back. XD I think I still need to get used to her bumbling ways... Even if I do like her, her constant poking and bumping gets annoying at times... At least I've taught her not to drool on me too much. XD

Anyways, we're keeping the dog, and everyone seems happy with things. Bailey's even lost a bit of the chubbiness she had when she first came here; I think it's because our yard gives her lots of room to run and exercise. :)

Hopefully I can get more used to Bailey, she seems like she can be a good dog with proper training.

The dogs don't seem to get along so well, and I'm nervous for my dog since she's so small, she could get easily hurt by accident. We're trying to get them used to each other, hopefully they can get along.

I'm not that crazy about the new dog... She's cute, but she's so big! I've had another large dog before, but she was still controllable and able to be picked up. This new dog is much bigger though. She is a Lab, though, and I've heard they are obedient, so that's good.

My mom and my brother aren't that pleased with our new arrival, either. The neighbor seems scared of her, and my dog either growls at her pretends she's not there. the only one who hasn't seen her yet is my dad, who wanted the dog in the first place. he's at work and won't be home for a while, and it seems like he's the one who's going to decide what we're going to do.

The new dog seems like she can be a good dog, but for another family. :P We have enough trouble with our one small dog, I didn't really want another, and neither did my mom...

Hopefully, things can work out for us and the new dog. If she can't fit in here, I hope she can get a good home someplace else, because she seems really sweet. It's just that I don't think we're ready for a new dog, especially on such short notice. I didn't even know we were getting her until earlier this week, and my dad didn't even consult my mom about it! XD Hopefully everything will turn out okay though.

I may be getting a new dog today, a Chocolate lab. :) Hope she gets along with my dog...

I think my scanner may be hopelessly broken.

The lamp is not working, and it wasn't meant to be reaplaced. When it goes out, that's it. :( So I need to get myself a new scanner now. My uncle says he has one I can have, but he hardly ever comes over. X(

So, until then, i only have my tablet to put images on my PC. I have a camera too, but that always seems to distort images, so... Not really a good option. Then again, tracing a drawing using the tablet is also a pain, the lines always come out differently than on the original. :(

I'm especially annoyed because now that I have time to draw, and feel like drawing, and feel like posting up drawings... I can't put them on the computer. XD

Oh well, hopefully I can get that new scanner soon... I haven't seen what it looks like yet, but I hope it's nice, my uncle usually gives me cool stuff. XD My current scanner is bigger than the computer tower and monitor put together. It takes up so much space. XD


Anyway, once I get a scanner, hopefully I can post more drawings... :)

You know what's funny? I have my computer playing random songs right now, and it's playing "Lullaby" right now..

Hi, I'm Umbra... I've known about this site for a while, and wanted to join, but couldn't find the "register" button because I'm an idiot. XD Ah well... I'm here now! :3

I usually draw in pencil and scan in my drawings, but my scanner is broken... :( So I might not be submitting new pics for a while... :( Just what I may already have in digital format, which is not much... :P

I'm currently in college, but the semester's over... I do not plan to take classes in winter, but will again in spring, so I might not be here much during the semester...

Random warning/announcement: I'm really bad at upkeeping these sorts of things, I tend to disappear from time to time, but sometimes I do come back and check on things... Just not often... X(

*sigh* Not sure what else to say here... Um... I like drawing, but haven't done much lately... I would love to get a fursuit done of my character Umbra, but I'm still designing her, dunno what colors/markings to pick... I'm so indecisive... XD I also tend to plan complicated extra things that impede my progress when I can't figure them out... ^^;

I would like to get into fursuit building and costume making. I love cosplay, but haven't done much of that because I don't have much time to make costumes, or just feel lazy. XD I also just learned to sew though, so that should help me. XD So far, though, I'm working on a Naked Snake (Big Boss) costume for Halloween next year... I wore it this year, but it wasn't finished... ^^; Most of my list of planned cosplays are Metal Gear characters... I love Metal Gear... XD I bought my PS3 and PSP mainly to play Metal Gear, and want to buy a PS2 for the same reason... Some of my friends tell me I'm obsessed... But the fact that my character is part snake and part ocelot actually has nothing to do with Metal Gear... I just really like those animals. My middle school mascot was an ocelot. :3 And I think I've always liked snakes...

I also like sculpting with clay, bacause once you remove some clay, you can always add it back on if you mess up... Plaster and foam, not so much... That's why I'm a bit intimidated about making a fursuit. They usually use foam, and I'm not sure what i could do if I cut off too much... But eventually I should get around to making a suit. :3 I predict it will be fun and frustrating. XD

Eh, I'm writing waaayy too much, I think... this always happens to me... I tend to ramble sometimes... especially when someone talks about Metal Gear... And there I go again! *facepalm* I'm going to stop now. XD

I haven't been able to submit anything yet... Because my scanner is broken, and I have no batteries for my tablet... X(

I think I have a drawing already on the computer though, I will submit it when I find it...

I've been wanting to go get batteries for WEEKS now, but then it started raining, and my brother didn't want to drive me to the store... It finally stopped raining today, but now it's Christmas Eve, and we need to go to my grandma's house soon. XD Hopefully I can get batteries soon...

I have no idea what I'm going to do about the scanner though, I can't do much without it... I start my drawings on paper, scan them in, and finish them on the computer... So I don't think I can put up any new drawings anytime soon... :(
