Life has a way of happening **shrug** The important thing is that I’m going to TFF this year!!! like...NEXT WEEKEND!!!!!! And I am super stoked for it. I'm going to be off and on over the next 5 weeks. I'm heading back to the states to help out my sister who is due with baby #3 at any moment! As a matter of fact, she was in the hospital on Thurs and we thought he was coming then!!! She's still preggers though, and my flight leaves here at 12:20 my time. It's 1am here now, and I'm 1 hour into my 31 hour long monday! Wish me luck! LMAO!!!
I will be checking in so if I'm bidding on your auctions or waiting on sketch approvals, just hang in there and I'll be with ya! Remember, I'm going to be distracted by newborn smell!!!!!

I love raffles and give aways just as much as the next furry, but it get's a little "full" in the in box with everyone posting so much everyday. Also, the advertising aspect gets lost. So here's my solution: I'm going to do multiple artist posts and just update them. This way, you all can get the benefit of exposure to new peoples and styles without the flooding of journal entries and the artists get to have more time in a "live" journal posting.

I've been a really crappy long distance friend to some of you, and to others I feel like we are closer now than we have ever been. Well we are getting all settled in here in the awesome little town of Sankt Leon-Rot. We are about 15 minutes outside of a major city and things are going very well. The kiddos are in school and loving it, the hubster is enjoying his new job, and I'm getting my bearings here in this new country.
Thank you to all the fantastic artists who have been patient with me moving about and such. I'm really enjoying the art that is starting to arrive!!! AWESOME! I will post things once I get the scanner and "real" computer set up. Thanks a TON!!!! If any of you have had art returned, just let me know. We had a little trouble getting everyone's names correct on the box on base.
Lastly, I appreciate all the well wishes and truly wonderful notes you guys are sending. It makes me love this silly old furry community even more. (((((HUGS)))))

Posted 14 years agoOk so what is this new "style" of journaling/blogging/tweeting/ WHATEVER... that includes being able to tell people if your opinion bothers them then they can fuck off and "stop being butt hurt".
Example: I have something to say. My opinion on this matter is MY opinion. Feel free to comment and support me, but if your opinion is different, then you should stop being a bitch and/or too sensitive and/or butt hurt and/or a big stupid doody head.
Here's the flaw in your logic: You are voicing **YOUR** butt hurt out there for the world to see are you not? Isn't that the point of it? You want to vent and rant in a public manner so that many people will know exactly how you feel about "XYZ". So why can't people respond to you? Are you scared that someone may have a valid argument to your point of view and it will make you rethink your views? Are you afraid that people will let you know how much your words hurt them or upset them? I'm calling foul. If you have something judgmental, hyper critical, or just plain ugly, to say then you should be a big enough person to accept the consequences of your words.
The way I see it, how the world works is that YOU have YOUR opinion and YOU are more than welcome to share that opinion on whatever electronic-instant-millions-can-see-it forum that YOU choose. The people who YOU shared this opinion with may or MAY NOT agree with it. That's life, that's how it works. You saying "so grow up and go away if you don't like it" before you unload unkindness on people or art or groups or music or ANYTHING is really just you wanting to be as ugly as you feel like without having to worry about reprisal. Reminds me of the bully on the playground that punches you to the ground then screams "TAG! NO TAG BACKS" then walks away laughing.
Now this little rant is just that. I haven't been called out or picked on. I just noticed that while going through my day, many people are doing this more and more often. Here, on facebook, in emails, tweets, etc... Yeah. It's annoying.
I feel it bears mentioning that this isn't the same as people posting art and telling you to click somewhere else if you don't like it. I actually agree with that. It is an artistic work and you can choose not to look at it. Here's the flaw in your logic: You are voicing **YOUR** butt hurt out there for the world to see are you not? Isn't that the point of it? You want to vent and rant in a public manner so that many people will know exactly how you feel about "XYZ". So why can't people respond to you? Are you scared that someone may have a valid argument to your point of view and it will make you rethink your views? Are you afraid that people will let you know how much your words hurt them or upset them? I'm calling foul. If you have something judgmental, hyper critical, or just plain ugly, to say then you should be a big enough person to accept the consequences of your words.
The way I see it, how the world works is that YOU have YOUR opinion and YOU are more than welcome to share that opinion on whatever electronic-instant-millions-can-see-it forum that YOU choose. The people who YOU shared this opinion with may or MAY NOT agree with it. That's life, that's how it works. I have a fantastic little one year old ferret and a 2 year old ball python that need loving homes. Lemon the ferret has a double decker cage from ferret nation, food, toys, water bottle, dishes, all the good stuffs that ferrets need. Lucious the python has a 55 gallon enclosure, under tank heating, lamp, logs, dishes, feeding crate, and all the goodies that a python could want. He is live fed, so that's something to consider.
I live in north Texas near Wichita Falls, but for the right offer and owner I would be willing to put in some travel time. Please let me know if you would be interested!
