I've actually been working on some stuff on my own in the little while here in my free time, so I'm working on a comic currently : D

I've got the story outlined, and I'm currently working on roughs of each page, so once I have that done tho then I'll just need to work on each page really ;v;
it'll be relatively short, I mostly just want to see how well I can do at it, and at a long term project like it
though ye it'll be a little more than 30 pages

its probably gonna conme together slowlly, I just kind of hope I'll be at least almost done it by the time school rolls around haha since then it'll go by wayyy slow ;;

As I'm growing as an artist, I keep seeing younger and less confident artists struggle with their work or confused of where to go kind of ;;

I dunno, I kind of remember when I was a bit like that welps. SOO I kind of want to make this a lil callout that if you'd like help in aspects of art, just comment down here and we can chat and all haha

Though of course theres things that aren't my specialty that I can't help with haha, or that I have very little experience with.

Though my main area of expertise are;
-composition, colour theory, space (backgrounds), line quality and figure gesture.

One thing I've been getting to practice a bit more is animation, its a field that I've always dreamed of getting into professionally so I try to practice it when I can really
But as I get better at it then I might want to offer some animation commissions, although because I only do hand drawn frame-by-frame then it'd be expensive and the price would depend on how long it is (I work no less than 10 frames per second) and how finished they want it (how clean the lines are and if there are flats or even shading added)

though of course the first step is getting better at it lmao
over the summer im gonna try to work on that in any free time I have so i can improve on it tons :3

so one kind of big announcement is that I am hoping that for my next year of school I will move out and live with my pal and maybe another person!

I am very excited and I really really wanna go, I think it'd be a great learning experience and also to be in a more accepting environment

im still gonna figure out lots of stuff but so far I know that I will have to do work of some sort
I'm going to have to get a job that isn't just freelancing since this isn't a very dependable source of income, and my prices are also below minimum wage

But so from now on all commissions will be going towards saving up for a half years rent + other utilities
So that will be max 600 x 4.5 = 2,700 $

Of course I'm going to also try starting work now so that I could already start saving up and again cause I can't depend solely on commissions for paying all of this ;;

But so I'm also hoping that schoolwork will get lessened by a bit so that I'll have some more time for work here! Cause so far for the past 2 weeks or so I've spent at least 8 hours a day on classes+assignments, and that includes the weekends too, so I'm just all buggered out aha

I very rarely bring my political standing on here, as I don't see it discussed as much so I never really feel a need to chime in.

But one thing that isn't too recent but still applies, The Charlie Hebdo incident.

My standing on the issue is, nobody should have been killed. The families of those killed don't deserve to go through this. But people are hailing Charlie Hebdo as a type of martyr. As if the cartoons blatant racism is heroic. Though the people who killed those in the incident should be charged as all people who kill should be. But that still doesn't making all the racism and islamophobia acceptable or even okay.

Its disgusting how much people are clinging to this to plead the right of free speech, hiding behind the law just to justify that racism is JUST as valid as any other type of speech. Meanwhile a rapper visiting France, tried to talk about the racism in the country and was kicked out because of it. Not by people but by the government, oh ya free speech hm ye. Free speech is only given if you're white and atheist or catholic.

I'm sorry but I am just fuming at this.

I am just hhhh, there are so many other things you can support if you'd like to support free speech. And its not supporting racism companies, but minorities who can't express themselves because of race or religion. Like how muslim women were afraid to were their hijabs outside because of the incident or some didn't even leave their house because they were so afraid.

Just I know that the furaffinity community is for the most part white, so please like know stuff about this more and question it yknow. I could find some articles for ya if you'd like or link you to some poc stories.

I should also clarify, I am white and I am atheist. So I don't have personal experience with racism or islamophobia so I won't know intimate details about how it goes down and please don't ask me to explain my side of racism because I benefit from it.

i've still been occupied with school quite a lot but still itching to get back into work i've been thinking about it

so i've ordered a couple of prints recently, and they should come around the 18th so i'll post those up for is somebody would like to order one!

and also i've been wanting to do commissions that are heavily atmospheric
i really love giving atmosphere to a drawing, and i really want to bring that option to commissions

like what im thinking is pretty much, you'd give me the character(s) and just an emotion that you'd like for me to give it. then i'd just do it with a background and lighting and just give as much of that into it as i possibly can, with also experimenting in backgrounds and lighting and composition

just a thought but its something i'd definitely like to do more c:

but also they would be cheaper than full body full painted, considering that those are with the vision of the person commissioning, since the backgrounds are premeditated and the pose might me aswell and all that uvu

AND i also want to think of cheaper commissions that i can offer, so far i've got in mind some chibi watercolour portraits or cell-shaded things
but that will come later on haha

but so school is going pretty well, I'm having lots of fun still tho all the work is weighing on me
