The actor John Hurt has died.

From Alien where in the chest burster he appears as the poor viction of the Alien, to Caligula, the elephant man John Merrick, Quention Crisp in the Naked Civil Servant, and he was even the voice of Hazel in Watership Down. This was actor who could play any part and was a master of the big screen, small screen and even the occasional theatre production. A true master of his art and apparently a pleasure to work with.

Most recently we saw him as Mr Olivander, the maker of wands, in Harry Potter and on British TV as the War Doctor, in the Day of the Doctor.

Farewell wise spirit, a man with the voice of silky gravel and the purveyor of great dreams.

Okay fun journal

Okay I am walking downtown in my home town. It is a rare sunny day, well more a sunny day in very bright spells.

This lady has dressed for a hot day in a simple white cotton dress and sandals. She is looking good and that is great, she is pretty lady and seems to be enjoying her tunes from a sweet little handbag holding her player by her side. Large floppy straw sun hat and shades. She bounces along merrily.

It was then the sun came out in strongly. She went from cool to traffic stopping in a second flat. Her white cotton dress went semi transparent, she is in a little white thong and nothing else, I repeat nothing else. She was not impressively endowed or anything, but even I know she was pretty but the reaction was like squealing brakes and guys walking into stuff with insane grins and very pissed girlfriends and wives.

This cool lady was totally oblivious to this, or perhaps not that oblivious she did have the sweetest little smile on her face, guys were staring and then she hugged and kissed her girlfriend then left holding hands. You could hear male libidos exploding all over the place.

Peace out, this was a cool lady and no mistake, out and about without any fear.

Okay lets get this straight I have reached my limit, (Way passed my eyeballs in fact), of famous directors spouting this line.

"It is my favorite movie of all time, I am going to remake it." Or something like that.

Why!!!

You never here a famous artist say a painter say, "I love the Mona Lisa I will paint it again." or "I am going to paint over it."

Musicians can do cover versions I know, but nobody ever has said I am going to recompose Smoke On The Water or Beethoven's Fifth symphony.

So why do film directors and movie companies feel the need to pump money down the drain.

I had a cold during Christmas and now I want a fantastic New Years, I have lined up some fun from a few artists here.

I hope the 2014 I can arrange my working time better, I am trying for a move to an office nearer to my home but it is not so easy, they wanna keep me at my place I work at.

So all you lucky (licky) furs have a great one ahead of time and let be awesome to each other.

Last year I held a wet tee shirt contest for the artists to draw for here.

This year the competition is the hottest hula skirt shots you can manage. Any gender, any species and any rating.

No cub, and no watersports or scat allowed though.

You will have till [see above] to make entries, these will get judged by me, and my partner. Possibly a guest judge if I can snag one to accept that role. If you are a judge you can NOT enter but if you wish to be a judge note me.

Prizes
First - $80
Second - $40
Third - $20

As before, contest entries will be judged on a combination of presentation, pose, and skill. So it's perfectly possible for a lower skilled drawing to place high, if it really looks like the artist put their heart and soul into it.

Please realize that the winners are a personal choice by me and my partner along with the guest judge, any one can place.

So the competition is for the best hula skirt shot of any fur, any gender (herms included) and action shots preferred or just something amazing.
