For the past couple days whenever I try to open up SoFurry I just get this error message about hardware failure and a link to a new "BETA" version of the site...which is barely operational. What's up with this? If SoFurry is doing maintenance, why are to making an entirely new site under the same name that barely works? If their plan is to ditch the old domain for the new one, why not just announce that to the users?

As the title says, I'll be free from any distractions (external anyway) for the next two weeks, so now would be a good time to think about commissioning me.

Survive. Things are gonna get crazy in 2025 so we all need to ground ourselves in the simple task of not going insane.

Also maybe getting in better shape but I've already been working on that for a few months now so I plan on continuing that trend. Exercise can be therapeutic.

Earlier this month I kinda burnt myself out trying to tackle a bunch of complex commissions in a row which left me unable to draw much of anything for a while, but I'm still hoping to squeeze in a couple more SMALL commissions this month (the Canadian dollar has dropped even more so non-Canadians will be getting an even better deal, plus I want to pad out my savings for when my Cinderace bodysuit is ready and for whatever chaos ensues in 2025).

Everyone's always talking about Keanu Reaves as Shadow and two Robotniks (both played by Jim Carrey), which is awesome don't get me wrong...but am I the only one reaaaaally hoping for a post-credit scene of Ryan Reynolds titular Pikachu at that very same bar ordering a coffee and receiving a mysterious envelope sealed with the Smash insignia? Also where's our Detective Pikachu 2, Hollywood?! And Super Mario Bros. 2? And a Legend of Zelda movie! And Kirby, and Metroid, and Star Fox! Come on, you have a gold mine on your hands and you know it!

Probably won't be using it much anytime soon. The user interface proving complicated to navigate, and a lot of the features are locked behind pay walls. So for now it'll just be an extra back-up archive for video thumbnails and such.

Small vent ahead, feel free to skip past all this. I just need to get this off my chest.

Those who've known me for a long time will know that I have kind of a "Jekyll and Hyde" thing going on, where one moment I'm chill and making lighthearted quips, and the next I'm straight up ranting about "The Joker in the Dark Knight was RIGHT!" and other such nihilistic things. I've tried to hold back that darker part of myself online because I don't think you should all have to be subjected to that, but it still affects my personal life, especially with family.

Any time the news is brought up, or philosophy, politics, science vs spirituality, or even just out of freaking nowhere because the evil inner monologue that's basically all my worst character traits crammed into one voice has been screaming in my head all day...I just blow up into a shouting rant about how much I hate everything and want nothing more than all of existence to be deleted...before flipping right back to "Hatred is toxic and we all need to get along...I have a problem.." Then just five minutes later, even if nobody has freaking said anything I'm blowing up all over again. This happens almost every day several times a day and is the main reason I try to be alone as much as possible. It's just this constant (mostly) irrational paranoia that everything and everyone is constantly trying to manipulate, control and/or physically harm me in some way, even friends and family.

And yes I have seen more psychiatrists than I can count over the years, yes I am on medication, and no I do not of schizophrenia or bipolar disorder (I've been tested multiple times for both including full MRI scans). While I've been gradually getting a tiny bit better over the years, recent world events are drudging all this crap up again it makes what little I have to do in life frustratingly difficult to do.

But to put everyone's fears at rest I'm not and never have been a self-harmer or suicidal. My negative emotions always explode out outward rather than inward, so it's those around me who end up taking the brunt of it, and I know that's not okay which makes it hurt all the more every single effing time it happens.

Okay rant over, if you read this...no idea why but I apologize for totally wrecking your mood. I did warn you at the beginning.

Any time I try to start working on an art commission, video or whatever this week may brain spirals into a cyclone of anxiety-inducing thoughts about the state of the world right now. I WANT to be able to draw and make videos to keep my mind off all that crap but the megaphones of doom both from without and within my own brain drawn out everything and I end up just staring at my computer screen with sweaty palms.

Is Weasyl not loading for anyone else right now? The site's been down for me since yesterday evening.

The Canadian dollar is at its lowest in five years (roughly equal to 70 cent US), but with how much turmoil is going on that may change at any time. So for the next few weeks, any non-Canadians looking for a potential discount on art, look to your favourite Canadian artists (Myself included, but I'm not the only one.)

Meanwhile, in Russia, 10,000 North Korean troops were brought in to try and bolster Putin's dwindling forces...AND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM GOT HOOKED ON PORN! To all my friends south of the boarder...it's not safe where you are now. Please vote. It's no exaggeration to say the future of human civilization may hinge on the outcome of your election. As a Canadian I'm particularly worried about what could happen if we lose our closest and most powerful geopolitical ally. So please...just vote.

Today's announcement seems to strongly imply it should be safe to reupload all the drawings that got hit by that purge that happened a while ago (see journal on that here: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10971342/)

But it's still going to take a bit of my time and effort to repost them all, and they're all already up on Weasyl anyway. So I'm leaving it up to you. Should I go ahead and reupload them now, or wait and take my time with it?

But to summarize, under the new rules, NONE of my drawings violate the terms of service because simply put; none of my characters are minors. Any that may have at one point long ago been written as minors have aged up (both via time-jump and just in real-time since I haven't drawn a character canonically presented as "minor" in many, MANY years and certainly not since I started posting to this site), yet I don't see the works that were removed back in my gallery. Is this just because they were deleted and thus I need to re-upload them or like, do I need to make a trouble ticket to request they be reinstated? I'm not sure which would be more of a hassle or if I should even bother, because as I mentioned in my previous journal on this matter, everything that was taken down is still available to view on Weasyl.

One feature they added that I IMMEDIATELY made sure to switch on is the "No minors on my page" feature which you can find in your account settings. I'm of the VERY strong opinion that kids and teens have no business being on this website at all. I'd prefer if kids didn't have ANY internet access what-so-ever but maybe that's just the "BaCk In My DaY" in me talking, so feel free to disagree with me on that. But now that I have the right to make MY gallery on THIS site at least a no-kid zone, you can bet I'm exercising that right.

Honestly didn't think FA would get so trigger happy that they'd go to the effort of hitting ME with these...but it seems someone in the FA staff really, REALLY hates Riolu. As such, I might need to close all commissions on this site indefinitely and from this point forward only take commissions through Weasyl (all the renovated posts are still up on Weasyl and I've never had any issues there.

I'm gonna keep checking and replying to messages on here for now, but I may limit my posting here exclusively to fursuit photos and links to my YouTube videos. If FA for some reason decides to take issue with THAT...well I don't know. Might need to browse around for other art sites aside from just Weasyl and SoFurry (the latter I barely use anyway.) Got Unreal Tournament 2004 working again on my current computer, mods and all. Any suggestions for new video matches in it? Or if anyone can help me find even more mods? Here are a few I'm still looking for:
