Just wanted to update on Part 5 which is currently 35,000 WORDS, which is longer than my ACTUAL PUBLISHED NOVELLA Overnight Shift (which you should buy lmao).

obviously that's too big for a chapter so here's what's up:

* i'm going to split part 5 into parts 5 and 6, there's a good break point midway-ish-through
* i know i said it would be 5 parts SO i'm going to finish 5 and 6 and post them concurrently
* that way people get a break if they want it, but the folks who want to finish it in one shot can do so since i promised it would be done XD

the only condition is please comment on both parts, not just part 6, or i'll cry ;_;

Thank you all so much for taking this journey with me. In total North is 85,000 words SO FAR. The whole thing IS scripted (SEE I FINISHED THE OUTLINE) and I'm guessing it will probably finish up around 100k. My murder mystery novel A Spot Of Murder (WHICH YOU SHOULD ALSO BUY LOL) is 120,000 so this is full novel length. I can't believe folks have stuck around as my little one-off North turned into a full-length novel.

I am definitely pursuing physical release for those that want a copy. Sneaky has done a ton of ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ART WHICH I LOVE HE'S SO GOOD AAARFHRRHGH and it deserves to be in a physical book, frankly.

tell me what you hope happens and maybe i'll change the ending lol! :D

I am 20,000 words into North Part Five and it's going really well! XD AC and work delayed me but I'm back in business. Should wrap up sss...soooonnn?

And then I'm thinking of releasing it as either an ebook or a physical release. I don't think my publisher would be interested in a superkink hypno piece but I might make it available to you all, including a bunch of Salty's amazing art.

Adam Chaney is a carefree county electrician working an overnight job at the local ranger station. It's a pretty typical gig. Long hours, quiet scenery… the occasional drooling supernatural monster.

The worst Adam expected from his company for the evening—gruff park ranger Dale Wallace—was a few dirty looks. At best, there's a chance Adam can use his jockish charms to push the evening into more exciting territory.

Tonight however, Dale is not quite himself, and Adam is about to get a hell of a lot more excitement than he bargained for.

I got shot in the head with a paintball yesterday and IT HURTS. ;____;

I didn't take too many other hits - one in the left shin, my left quad, and my left thigh between my hip and my junk. I sacrificed an old motorcycle jacket to avoid having massive torso bruises and that was definitely a good decision. D: The rest of the pain is my quads throbbing from running and crouching for four straight hours XD

ANYWAY the headshot went over the mask and goggles and bounced off the top of my head and it hurts. XD At least the goggles and mask protected me from the other 45 head shots XD

Why haven't I posted anything in months? Because I'm working on two stories simultaneously. SIMULTANEOUSLY. That is a lot of work. A hilarious amount of work, in fact. A why-am-I-doing-this amount of work.

On the plus side, I'm not experiencing the Character Fatigue which has plagued me on earlier stories so I guess there's that.

Don't forget AC is next week or in 2 weeks or something which I'm not going to bother to look up because it's going to be blasted all over our internet for a solid week if not longer! TEEHEE

The night i conceived and started "Breaking and Entering," I got into some hot chocolate which TURNED OUT to have tree nut products in them, and spent eight hours barfing.

The night I was SUPPOSED to finish it, I apparently got into something else I'm not supposed to be eating (I'm a dog, so...chocolate?) and...spent eight hours barfing.

Now it IS finished, and when I'm trying to do a final readthrough before formatting/posting, I have ONE DRINK on a sorta-empty stomach aannnnddd GUESSSS WHAAAAAAAAT.

tomorrow they're moving my grandma from inpatient rehabilitation to an assisted living facility. she has pneumonia and is on oxygen again but is ever closer to her femur healing enough to walk around. i know she's doing better because she is complaining ALLLLLLLLLLLLL the time :p

the new place she's going to is attached to an Old People Dorm, with a beauty salon and a doctor and a better cafeteria than i have at work ಠ_ಠ and an ice cream shop and a coffee place and group activities three times a week. not counting shuttles to the mall. lol, i kinda wanna move in there myself. anyway, the idea is to get her walking and then she can switch buildings and chill there, and won't need someone there EVERY SINGLE NIGHT like she has since December.

my youngest cuz is moving her there (he's back in my life and doing great).

so after four months of insanity we ACTUALLY MIGHT be getting back to a place where our lives are normal again o.O i have just been sooooooooooooooo tired and now it's looking like a light at the end of the tunnel.
