The Flash Purge is worse than I thought
Posted 5 years agoAdobe & Microsoft's hateboner for Flash has gone too far and it's going to get worse.
Not only have they blocked browsers from running flash, but they've even blocked SWF File Viewer from running flash files.
That's right, not even stand-alone flash players are safe.
Not to mention the fact that Microsoft themselves will release a Windows 10 update that will uninstall Flash from your computer if you haven't done so already.
Thankfully there's a solution, one that doesn't involve downloading a gratuitous amount of flash files, only to play with a small amount of them, though I'm honestly afraid that it may not last very long.
What you must do, is go HERE and download the Flash Player Projector Content Debugger. With it, you can load swf files perfectly, though due to the fact that it's an adobe application, it may become unavailable in the near future.

As 2020 comes to a close, right at the last millisecond, it has one final atrocity, one final act of bullshit to pull on us and it comes in the form of Adobe taking Flash away from us like a bad parent taking away a child's favorite toy, unprovoked and with no rhyme or reason.
It's coming in two stages. Adobe is ending flash support on browsers today, and in another few weeks, as if 2020 still has that long until it finally decides to piss off, it'll block flash content from even being functional on browsers.
2020 has been a very bad year, but like a bad smell, it's decided to linger through the start of 2021 as well.

Posted 7 years agoWhat is it with people who make projects (games n shit) that get demotivated when people show interest in what they're doing?
Like, when people are eager for a game update and start asking about it, they have some sort of limit or threshold where, if the project's popularity goes beyond a certain point, the person making it just abandons it altogether.
"Since you enjoy immensely what I'm currently in progress of making, I'm gonna quit making it."
Worse still, is that these people are the same ones who will abandon a project due to lack of interest.
Fuck people that are like this.

Posted 13 years agoIve been seeing more and more static artwork in the flash category and its driving me crazy
The ones doing it claim that they did it by mistake.
The way you categorize an artwork as a flash is too complex to be a mistake.
For example, you may, either by having fat fingers or failing an attempt at touch typing, type m instead of n. This is common because of how close M and N are on the keyboard. That is a mistake.
Dont try to tell me that, in one foul accidental swipe of the mouse, you put your mouse pointer directly on the button next to the word Flash, Clicked on it, clicked on Next Step, selected the artwork YOU KNEW wasnt made or animated in flash, typed in the description of the artwork, tags, etc., Without checking what you had done in the previous steps, finalized it and then muttered to yourself "Oops, I submitted my art as a Flash animation instead of a normal artwork".
*opens and closes the drawers on his desk violently in a fit of rage*
THIS CANNOT FUCKING HAPPEN!
YOU CANNOT DO THIS BY ACCIDENT!
NOT EVEN WHEN YOU'RE HAVING A FUCKING EPILEPTIC SEIZURE!
IT JUST ISNT FUCKING POSSIBLE!

The loss of a soldiers friend
Posted 13 years agoMy Equalizer was brutally assaulted today.. MY EQUALIZER
As a soldier, he was my best friend..
I remember.. happily playing with him like I normally would.. We would run fast and bust heads together, all in all having an amazing time.. when all of a sudden, time seemed to freeze and I watched in horror as my equalizer split into two. Not two halves, but it was like another pickaxe came out of the original one. It was painful to watch and I'm sure it was painful for him too as he started bleeding from the sharp points.
Time started again and I picked up the two pickaxes.. nothing seemed different. The one in my left hand was my equalizer, I could tell from the blood dripping from it. In my Right hand I held a clean pickaxe with a name tag on it that read, Escape plan. It wasnt until dropped one (after the administrator forced me to over the intercom) that I felt a difference. If I dropped the Escape plan, I could still feel the extra strength inside me for whenever I needed it, but felt as slow and cumbersome as I would if I took my Shovel into battle.
I then picked up the Escape Plan, dropped the equalizer and felt I could Run as fast as I could with the equalizer.. but without all the strength that the Equalizer gives me, it would be more suitable for running Away from danger. I dont want to run away from danger like a hippy frenchman, I want to charge into battle till the end!
I dominated many a Demoman 3 goddamn years ago for this!?
