update crap
Posted 6 years agoI am eating dill pickles and drawing(yes in bed too). Yes it is almost 6:30am. Yes I am also baking a frozen pizza. Yes I have been off work and bed ridden the last month due to medical reasons. I have no schedule besides doctors appointments so I just do whatever. And while free medical treatment i have no answers yet. Does cancer await? Who knows!

Posted 9 years agoI'm still alive. I've had no internet at home so I've been a cafe/diner sleaze looking at porn and teasing people on sex apps. I've been feeling like shit lately so the absence is kind of nice to be honest. So have some lyrics I wrote with a bud to help cope with my great suffering. Be back soon.

PERIHELION
Take one giant leap with what little you've learned
Approach with your knowledge
Be safe and burn
Citing safety seems certain to satisfy
Injected for her protection
Starving yet choosing to multiply
A measured dose of the perfect lie
She is immune
Small steps to action
Abandon your calling
Cease the discovery
Become a creator
Stake your claim
State your claim
That this is the sum of identity
An act alone acts to define you
And those that defy you
Will be suffocated under tides of lies
Tides that drown the city
Choking every breathing mouth
Compound this lack of air by dragging more hungry lungs into life
Sow a doomed harvest
Gasping while laying down roots in the street
Feeding the vine that chokes the earth
Empty action seems the best solution
If it's conquest and sport why even question
The difference between giants and men or just more of the same
Children are different only in name
You are immune
So keep splitting, shifting
Evolve till you get your wings
Fly away from the bonds of the city
Rise above it all with choices and freedom
Take flight
At this altitude you'll
Pay heed to the heat
Even if you don't believe that it matters
Feathered facades falter facing waxing light
Not an orbit
A collision course
Fused reactions radiate
A terrible light

I'm back!
Posted 9 years agoUnfortunately with no new content to bring as of yet. Life and work have been kicking my ass lately but I've managed to have some fun along the way ;3
Expect some music updates soon. We got something on the frying pan and I'll try to bust out some sketches and what not soon.
Hope you've all been well or if not.. Rightfully angry, bitter, cynical and depressed.

Dean
Posted 9 years agoThe first time I met him was at a Church youth group of all places. I remember my brother dragging me out. I was down and depressed like I was much of the time in my earlier years. He was playing army with hockey sticks in the pews with my other friend and now drummer/life long friend and I remember thinking "who are these idiots"
Who knew that we'd share and give so much to each other over the years. Two dejected addicted misfits forged a friendship tied with music. Over the years we did a lot of stupid and things we probably should out right have not done or even thought of. We were at odds with each other a lot and slowly drifted but he always respected me and even if he didn't realize it I always looked up to him. I can't count the number of late nights we had in his dads garage smoking pot and listening to music and talking and laughing and hating ourselves. Heh, it sounds weird but I miss those days. It was the best to have someone to just spill your guts out at and be understood and encouraged. We both had our downward spirals and I can't imagine my life any other way or with a better person then him.
You`re still my favorite bass player Deano. RIP

Ethereal
Posted 9 years agoUpon the path I've walked
A lack of meaning haunts
The lust for more has left
Pervasive emptiness
And so, for all I know
There may be nothing more
And if it turns out true
We are ethereal
So when we say goodbye
We leave it all behind
All we can do is give
The world is yours, not mine
And if I had the choice
I'd leave corporeal
In favour of what's real
The world ethereal
A lack of meaning haunts

Pervasive emptiness
And so, for all I know

To all things
Posted 10 years agoI
Have drawn a map
And set my course
To understand
That meaning is created
A thousand myths have predated
This narrative that is my life
It falls so short of answering strife
A self-recited story that
Imitates elusive glory
I have grasped the
Inadequacy of the myth
To answer all the questions
I have sensed
The infinite
Inside a breath
And it has destroyed what was left
Stretched over all the world I know
A map ascends from far below
Consciousness just a tiny part
Knowledge of death, initial mark

Comment trouble on submissions
Posted 10 years agoHow come most of my submissions the "add reply" boxes are off to the right hand side and people can't comment? What gives FA? What's the story? Am i suddenly doing things wrong? I thought we were cool with each other.
I thought it was just a bug or a coding thing that was getting worked out and I mean I doubt I missed on much attention but it's been a while now and it's sort of irritating me.

Posted 10 years agoMan... shamefully whichever way you cut it
I was trying to impress some people I can't even stomach
You'd like to think you're cool enough to not care if you're cool
But the spirit gets distracted, the flesh is fucking cruel
They drag you to the tempest extend you to the wolves
This would be the time if you had any cool signature moves

My mom found me and added me on twitter.
Now I'm really not gonna use it. Not that I was before but now I mean business.

Music stuff
Posted 10 years agohttp://www.furaffinity.net/user/drago./ Asked
1) What got you into writing music?
The guitar was always my first musical love so with that said:
Primarily that I had formed a band I guess. We all were friends and realized we played instruments and so the great idea was born! At the time I was knee deep in classical music exams, learning scales and what not. So it seemed a really interesting deviation and soon it took over as my primary focus.
As to what got me into music; I was lucky enough to be born into a musical family. My Mom was a first class piano teacher/player and my Dad was big into rock'n roll(we used to go to many a concerts). So after I bitched enough at the age of 6 being enthralled with the likes of Alice Cooper, Hendrix and many others as well as my My Moms extraodinary playing I got what I wanted and was shipped off to learn and practice. I both loved and hated the regiment.
2) What's your biggest influence? (Writing, producing, etc etc)
I'm not much of a producer, though I know what I like but aside from that I am useless in that regard (and it shows!)
As far as writing goes I would have to say my emotions are at the forefront. As a depressed and angry kid in a volatile house it was a great outlet/escape and gave me something to focus on. Something that continues to this day. It really feels as a form of meditation or prayer or however you'd like to put it. That's my biggest influence for writing. My state of mind (which is typically full of degradation and self hate).
There are many bands that inspire me as well and seeing live music always kicks it into high gear.
3) How do you go about writing a song? Do you start with drums, or is it simply an idea at first?
It really depends here. There are numerous ways. As said before it's trying to convey or work out some of my emotions/feelings and thoughts. Sometimes it is a simple beat I hear in my head. Or just a free jam riff session that something pops out of and I work from there. Sometimes I'll hear the inkling of a riff in my head or more and just try and wrench in out of my head.
Only recently have some of my band mates given drum beats or other riffs to chew on that yield results. I'm very much used to coming up with the riffs first and work from that point to better it and add the other instruments. A lot of the time it just stays a guitar thing.
It does help to have a band that can build to it. Much of the time it is a collaborative experiment in the band sense. Sometimes you have to fight for your vision and others.. Well, they knew better or thought of something I hadn't heh.
A lot of the time since I have been at this a while I have a back log of riffs (old emotions not seen through) that I will dabble with time and time again and it births new ideas. It usually just stems from jamming with whatever you are fooling with or practicing. Again this really all comes back to writing something personal or heartfelt or if nothing else something that just sounds cool to me. There is always room for some aesthetic quality that just sounds dope.
4) If there was something different you'd do down the road, what would it be?
I'd like to sing some and maybe down the line play guitar and sing but I've never been able to do it much as I try.
Get better at producing/recording. So learning that as well as getting a computer and equipment which I am lacking to do it. I am very reliant on others in that spectrum.
Branch out into more styles. Whether it be beats or more blues jazz focused things
Find other like minded musicians with the same sense of style. I know diversity can be good but I wish I knew more people who were into what I was about and vice versa.
5) What is something you wish to improve?
Pretty much the same as above
Up and down picking haha I am very much a only down-stroke sort of guit player
I'd like to be a better technical player of course and be more proficient at other instruments other than guitar. Or at least be able to relate to them better as to better convey ideas.
The lack of gigs I've been playing. I sorely miss that
Teaching was nice too. I'd like to improve on that and do more

God damnit San Diego
Posted 10 years agoSo I was just coming in from a quick smoke and I saw this guy coming in from the parking lot who I thought was Jackson due to the navy uniform and all and said "HELLLLLLLOW THERE" in a goofy and maybe flirtatious manner with a dumb grin on my face. NOPE. Complete random stranger.

Also! Check out my esteemed colleagues more gay and pornographic tumblr (that I'm supposed to help update but do nothing with except for maybe show up in once in awhile. SHH) at - http://scumdogz.tumblr.com/
Both are nsfw and should be considered 18+

Anybody want my old sketches?
Posted 11 years agoHere ye! Here ye!
Seeing as I am trimming the fat on a lot of my possessions and moving soon I have a lot of old sketches that I don't know what to do with. Don't really care to keep em but it would be a shame to just toss them away like a common cum rag. Sooo if anybody is interested in some old stained crummy sketches hit me up and I can send em your way. I have the majority of stuff in my gallery if something strikes your fancy and if not, well they are doomed to be recycled.
Thanks and cheers!

I'm old
Posted 11 years agoWhat you do on your birthday?
-Nothing.
Oh come on, you must have done something
-No. Same as any other day
-Woke up. Felt like shit. Went to work. Felt like shit.
But yeah, had a good time this weekend with friends and saw the family today. Thanks to the few people who gave me a moment of thought. I'm getting old. My grandma warned me about this.

metal musings
Posted 11 years agoThe major difference between metalcore and djent is that metalcore vocalists actually sound good.
