Growing up
General | Posted 14 years agoMy childhood was a harsh one.
My worst memory was when I worked REALLY hard to get the Nintendo Power Glove and they never developed any good games for it..

CON report (and the circus leaves town)
General | Posted 14 years agoMan... I don't even know what to say.. I never thought I'd get to see Kyuss live.. They've been dead for so long so to speak. Even without Josh it was exactly what I anticipated. I was in heaven and The Sword made it across the border this time <3 Even being at the docks (not the best venue) the sound was great and for once I had at all times view to the stage with ease. In between head banging and grooving/air guitar. Dosed some "stuff" with two other buddies ignored chit chat and focused on the music, mannnnn.. Perfect.
The bar after was lack-luster but at least it was 2 blocks away from my place. I got to chill with my brother and co some more at least and actually left with saying; "Goodbye, I'm wasted" I got a t-shirt too!

General | Posted 14 years agoChick fashion talk in the living room. Supreme gay sex talk(edit lol) with a few gals on the patio.. Hard to get a word in edge wise. Guitar wins again.
Ones and Fives look a lot alike
General | Posted 14 years agoI thought I was almost gonna be late for work this morning so I set into panic rush mode and high tailed it to work. Turns out I was 3 and a half hours early.. Nice one -_-

CONS
General | Posted 14 years agoBy which I mean concerts of course. I mean, if I'm gonna pay 20 to 60 bucks to be stuck in a large venue full of strange smelly sweaty strangers there had better be awesome loud as hell music, a liquor license a smoking section and people smoking pot. Lets do the list!

-Queens of the Stone age
-Animals as Leaders
-Underoath
-Thursday
-Ill Scarlett
-Coheed and Cambria
-The Reverend Horton Heat
-Protest the Hero
-Deftones
-Dillinger Escape Plan
-3 inches of Blood
-Cancer Bats (twice!)
-After the Burial

-The Black Keys
-Heavy T.O. Festival
- Opeth
- Children of Bodom

Rapture dissapointment
General | Posted 14 years agoMan... When I first heard about this I was SO excited because I thought they said "the raptor is coming" And I was all like; shit yeah! I wanna see a fucking raptor. This is awesome".
BUT NO RAPTOR and we didn't even all die. What a bummer.

PERFECT ELECTION ANALOGY
General | Posted 14 years agoThe election just past here reminded me of this analogy;
"Micheal Bolton has supposedly sold millions of albums, yet I don't know one person who ever bought one"
Yupppp

Monument
General | Posted 14 years agoMonument
Arrogant and afraid
We built this monument to ourselves
Sacred and profane
Our purpose is divine and unquestioned
Awestruck and ashamed
Fig leaves hide the source of blame
Neurosis, universally ordained
This fire will burn for years to come
Our mortality betrayed
The curtain tears, the lightning blinds
And every word contrived still lies
A burning bush, a forest fire
Is why we live and why we die
This understanding, truly feigned
Drowning in despond and mire
And what was once believed
Will quickly fade away
Monuments crumble under time’s dull relentless blade
The answers that were found
They sang the sweetest sound
In desperation, quickly swallowed
Heaven-sent, earth-bound
Arrogant and afraid
We built this monument to ourselves
Sacred and profane
Our purpose is divine and unquestioned
Awestruck and ashamed
Fig leaves hide the source of blame
Neurosis, universally ordained
This fire will burn for years to come

General | Posted 14 years agoFurnal Equinox Convention
General | Posted 15 years agoYes. That's right your favorite unverified dog is going to a con.
I haven't been to a furry con since 2006 and that's the only one I've ever attended. The very idea of going to cons makes me feel a little awkward but I had fun last time so here's to hoping for a repeat :D
Might be able to make it for Friday evening but definitely be there Saturday and Sunday. Not sure what's going to happen really. Don't know who I'll be hanging with really.. Probably chill with Firestorm for a bit and Mad ferret if he gets down here. Other then that it's all on a whim cuz I don't know a whole lot of you.
I'll probably be sketching a bit and listening to music so if you see a short person blasting metal obnoxiously loud through his headphones that is probably me.
And oh because every fucking meme for cons has this part. If I don't know you; as in barely ever talked to you help me to refrain myself from giving an awkward responded hug. Just some skin, handshake or fist pump will be solid :3
OH GOD I HOPE NO NON-FURS RECOGNIZE ME X3

Scurrilous
General | Posted 15 years agoIt is awesome.
Not much of a departure from Fortress but still awesome in its own right.
Still lots of variety musically and every note and hit has an earnest feel to it.
I can't wait to buy the album and see 'em.
P.S. It is P much concert mecca where I'm at it seems.
