You may have noticed that I haven't been updating/posting much lately. A lot has been going on with my life, some good, some not so good. I've kinda come to a decision that I probably won't be doing commissions as much any more, if at all. This comes from my not feeling like they're worth the time/effort/stress to finish. Also, I'm putting a lot of that time/effort into making things that do make me feel like I'm being compensated appropriately, which is one of the good things that have been happening lately. :)

This is not to say I'm gonna stop making art entirely! In fact, thanks in part to some of the bad things that have happened at the end of last year, I feel like I have some more of my creative energy back! So I'll probably be posting some art again soon~ Mostly personal art, but probably also some gift art mixed in. Having the freedom to choose what I want to work on is a luxury I haven't been able to afford for a long time. A looooooooooong time. ^.^;;

So anyway.. yeah! Some changes. Some hope. Mostly I just wanted to get rid of that 2yr old journal. XD;;;

I've got hourly streaming slots available ($20/hr) and those pre-pose chibis are still open, as well as almost anything else you might be interested in. ^.^

Some of my older offerings may be on the table as well (including constellations, any adoptable species/templates I've done in the past, sketches/inks, and even ref sheets), though prices will have gone up since I last posted them. If you're interested in anything, just ask! Chances are I'll at least discuss it with you. ^.^

Alright guys, I'm gonna try it! Gonna try doing a stream every day this week, starting Monday and ending Saturday. :D Here's hoping I a) don't forget and b) don't get burned out. XD;;;

Sorry in advance... just feeling really stressed and down tonight. :/

I've been away for so long, I feel like I've been forgotten by all but a handful of friends (you know who you are, I love you ;u; <3), and I've forgotten how everything works.

After having moved across the country, I am currently out of work, and it is just as hard to get a job here as anywhere else. I am trying really hard to make ends meet. I got together with a friend and started a little business, but that doesn't seem to be off to a very good start so far. I tried to make smaller items to see if they would maybe sell better, but no luck. Like at all. I'm trying to get back into 2D art, but so far I'm feeling a little discouraged by the lack of response. We're planning on attending and dealing at a few craft shows, and my friend was at a convention a couple weeks ago, but we can't survive only selling a handful of plushies and pendants every few months.

I'm running out of ideas, and I'm running out of savings. I don't know what I'll do if I can't somehow make this work, even temporarily.

Is there something I haven't tried? What would you like to see? Should I just drop this gallery and start fresh? What do I do?

I’ve recently been very inactive here again, and for that I am sorry. ;n; My life was a rollercoasters if ups and downs, with long, tiring days and uncertainty around every corner.

BUT! I’ve recently moved back to CA, and find myself with actual time on my hands again! It’s amazing. I’ve even had time to open two new Etsy shops:

Beak and Badger ( beakandbadger - https://www.etsy.com/shop/BeakandBadger/) focuses on the Skolen, a joint creation between myself and my friend :feltsoffancy:. I posted a pic of them some time back. Right now we’re working on getting enough together to make a good showing at Anthro Northwest next month. I won’t be there, but my partner will!

Crawly Curios (https://www.etsy.com/shop/CrawlyCurios) is my own personal Etsy shop. I’ll be filling it with all kinds of creepy and/or cute things. Right now all I’ve got are the tiny butterflies, but Halloween is right around the corner, and my favorite holiday! Keep and eye out for additions to this shop very soon. :3

Back-ish~! ^.^;; Sorry for being away so long with little/no news. Life has been... pretty darn stressful. (And I've noticed that I tend to want to run away and hide for a few months after I man a table at a convention... sorry for that too!)

I think I need to go through and remove some of my watch list, though. One of the reasons I left for so long was because I felt overwhelmed by the constant work of clearing out my submissions and journals inboxes. x.x Right now, I have 201825 submissions and 4607 journals. It makes me sad to know I will be missing so much art/news, from some of my friends, but there is absolutely no way I'll be able to sort through all of that manually. Nuke button, here I come~

I've been trying to make something, ANYTHING, for the last few weeks. I managed one vaguely presentable inked illustration last month, but nothing since. I can't even conjure up more than vague concepts in my head, as opposed to the specific ideas/poses/images I can usually pull up at a moment's notice. Today, I decided to just scribble, hoping to dislodge whatever has been blocking me, but the only thing that came from two hours of attempts was wasted paper, piles of eraser leavings, and a frustration so intense that started to make me physically ill. (Also one physically assaulted pillow so I didn't start screaming and shredding things. >.> This is not normal for me.)

How does one fight past something that powerful? How do I get over this? :C

That was a fun/exciting/stressful trip. XD It was awesome to see old friends again, and meet some people for the first time. Hello to my new watchers who picked up cards from my table! :) My FA has been a bit dead lately, but I'll be doing and uploading more in the days/weeks/months to come.

You have the hard-copy print, but I never gave you the digital copy. *fails* I'll get that fixed asap. Also, I don't think this is all of the sketches I did last year. There were five listed in my receipt book, and only three in my folder. If you are a commissioner from last year and never received your digital copy, let me know! I should have them all in the same place, but I may have blanked and stuck a couple in a different folder for some reason. x.x

Anyway. Since I have brought up the topic of old commissions, I need to know who all is out there waiting for theirs to be completed, and who would like a refund instead. I have a list, but I don't think it's entirely complete. (*terrible at keeping lists up to date* :/)

Back on the topic of FA:U, a friend of mine just moved in and she's really good at keeping me on-task for my preparation. *excite* So I should be much less flustered about everything under the sun, and actually have awesome things at my table this year. :D
