RESIST Drone Head Design Updated
Posted 11 years agoMass Effect & Ethical Theory (NOT RELATED TO ENDINGS AT ALL)
Posted 11 years agoJust thought I'd mention that I'm probably doing a write up on the ethical theory the game was based upon. I figured it would be good practice over the summer, and I'm sure a few of you may be interested into why the game was structured the way it was. I might also hint at my current personal research on ethical theory analytics.
"Mass Effect 4" Update
Posted 11 years agoCollege and Updates [COMMISSIONS OPEN]
Posted 11 years agoBeen running around and working on my physics degree, but I've still been able to get some art done. Other than that, I'm just going to remind everyone that I am open for commissions since I need to pay off college expenses and what-have-you, so feel free to send a note with your request :) . I need all the help I can get!
Oh, and if you're getting snow like me, I hope you're enjoying the winter wonderland!

March of Life, Spec Scripts, and Learning Cinematography
Posted 12 years agoStarted spec scripts for Robotik and Resist, as well as taken a bit of an initiative by trying to learn a thing or two about cinematography.
When it comes to the scripts themselves, I modeled Robotik in a fashion similar to March of Life but with more action and less internal contemplation, the driving theme revolving around determination and ethical paradoxes. Resist has always been a bit more of an intimate story, so the themes are so numerous I couldn't begin numbering them all. If I had to pick the big ones, humanism and the significance of our actions (no matter how small) are two main focuses. The story has also become more character driven in the rewrite, having two Drones (Tilka and Prophet) as the main characters, and a Staff Sergeant as another driving character. My hopes for it are to push the rather untapped genre of xenofiction.
As for March of Life, I have reached 26,000 words (52 pages, Times New Roman, 12 point font). For now, I have this semester to hopefully finish it and look for a literary agent.

Sorry For The Hiatus; New Projects
Posted 12 years agoWell, college has kept me away for the most part, unfortunately, but I have been working on my technical skills as of late, and I definitely have improved. The life-size Prawn is coming by a bit slow, but fairly well, and I have been tinkering with digital painting techniques used by Nebezial and the amazing
Kasia88. Of the test dummies I've used are some Valketh and Schieden busts, Osiris scribbles, and a scary naga using an old reference photo I used for my design of the Shrieks. I'll see if I can upload the never-finished Shriek sketch from years ago so you get an idea of what the Shriek Guardians look like, but nothing really kicked off because I never knew how to do scales... NOW I DO >:D
Will upload what I can once they're finished (the fur takes a while, but I'm studying Nebezial's method because his is fast and dishes out good quality).
Also, birthday gifts will be very belated, but I am working on them as well. If I finish the Valketh/Schieden successfully, I'll definitely send them to you, Vaer :)
Oh, and
VonVerrikan reminded me to tell you guys I'm officially getting the PS4, and that I also bought myself my own Xbox 360 (no more sharing!) so SEND ME THOSE REQUESTS :D
I'll play anything from CoD (which, I regretfully admit to putting more effort in than I should lol), BF3, ME3, Halo, hell even NHL 14 (shhhhhhh, hockey's the only pro sport I'll actually watch so no judging :P ; wanted to play it since I was little but couldn't afford it)

Birthday Gifts and New Project
Posted 12 years agoI've got a few birthday gifts to work on during school, but probably the biggest announcement is the life-size Poleepkwa project I'm undertaking. It will comprise of an estimated 8 panels that will display a life size Poleepkwa as part of my quest for improvement and to make up for the lack of effort on the personification portrait I did at
vonverrikan's request. I'll post updates as I finish parts, but I plan on this taking at least a year to complete.
As for birthdays... YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!! >:D

Formica bipedal Redesign
Posted 12 years agoI will be redesigning numerous aspects about the Formics, or at the very least experimenting in hopes of doing so. The skull will remain relatively the same, but the limbs will be the focus of this redesign. I will post pictures as soon as I complete the project.
Livestream @ 1:45pmET (18:45 UTC)
Posted 12 years agoFinishing Angel's picture and then either finishing my Poleepkwa sketch or starting Vaerthe's birthday gift.

No More Xbox Temporarily
Posted 12 years agoMy brother took the liberty of commandeering the Xbox 360, so I won't be able to play unless I sneak onto my roommate's when school starts. Sorry for any inconveniences.
As for free requests, well I'm redoing the Geth, but other than that, I don't think I can continue them for the moment due to financial restraints. Because of this, District 9 commissions are open.

Posted 12 years agoMarch of Life Novella Sample
Posted 12 years agoNeglected to announce anything here, so I thought I'd provide some info and sample paragraph (intro paragraph to story)
Life is an enigma… such a convoluted mystery that its very nature is incomprehensible to the consciousness that struggles to unlock its most precious secrets. Where did it come from? What is its purpose? How was it born? We spend every moment chasing these questions and yet, as the answers scream to us from afar we never hear nor see them, lost in the superfluity of daily life. The ring of the telephone, the hum of the radio, the laughter of children, and the whistling birds above repress the evocative songs that would resolve us of all our afflictions. Illness would vanish, war would become a mere memory, and spite all but forgotten. It is only when one discovers the whispers within them that the solutions to these infirmities become clear. However, knowledge alone cannot save the beholder, for knowledge is useless without the resolve to fulfill its commands. The journey is long and it is treacherous; it will test those attributes it requires while eroding those it repudiates until your bones resonate to the rhythmic tune within. You will fall. You will suffer. But you will rise with a new fire that will consume the very person you once were.
Synopsis: A columnist leaves everything behind in an effort to chronicle an alien panoply known as "The March," where thousands of mysterious, cloaked beings silently march across the globe. Focusing on what he believes to be a shepherd in the herd of "Followers," Jason finds himself enveloped by the very march he aimed to study, and soon becomes a part of the mysterious extraterrestrial parade. He must endure great hardships and loss during his journey, in an effort to understand the meaning to The March.
