Eurofurence 20. -2014-

I felt i should write something random about my thoughts of EF. :)
This journal entry will be extremely poorly written as i'll be cramming down a bunch of stuff for no reason. : >

It feels like it was yesterday i was heading out the door for my first visit to Eurofurence and my second visit to a furcon overall.

There is something magic about furry conventions. Cant exactly put my finger/paw on it but its awesome nonetheless.
Meeting all these wonderfull people/animals. The ability to just sit down at a random table and start talking. :)
And all the artists creating wonderfull things wether its suits. Stories or drawings to immerse oneselves into the amazing worlds that we all enjoy.

I have alot of new watchers since the con. (Hell. I think i've doubled my watchers since the con. X_x ) wich i'm greatfull for. I dont create nor upload alot of stuff but hopefully i will one day.
If not. I have alot of folks to poke and prodd. And they can do so in turn with me. ^^

Speaking of people at cons...
My first furcon was actually NFC '14 (earlier this year that is.)
I Went there all alone only knowing that some people that i knew would be there. Wich made me start to mingle with all sorts of people. Was alot of fun! I actually met someone i now call my brother at NFC and one of the major parts of going to EF20 was to hang with him once again. We always have a great time together. ^^
So going to EF with the knowledge that i'd be talking alot with someone that means alot to me. Made me not so eager to branch out and meet alot of new people. Hopefully i'll think about that at NFC '15 so i can drag my browski around and talk to alot of new folks! ^^

Fursuits! ^^

When i 'joined' the furcommunity all these years ago. I thought fursuiting/fursuits was definetly not my thing.
Especially the toony ones. I couldnt stand them.
But every time i meet one. I just want a big fluffy hug. A nosepoke from those awefully squishy noses! <3

And then there's CC~
I'm a huge fan of clockworkcreatures suits. They are absolutely amazing. With some luck i'll be joining the ranks of CC-Suiters next year. (Sigh~ Hopefully before EF-21. If my calculations are correct and there are no delays.) And~ That the awefull wait will be over! ^^


The uniform

For starters. I love uniforms and all things military. I doubt that there will be any local cons with a military theme so it'd be rare for me to bring it to a con and police theme was close enough. ;)
I almost didnt bring my uniform to the con. I basically descided to do it the day before i was about to head to germany but i'm so glad i did. I was worried it might be offensive but apparently people are indeed smart enough to see i'm not serious about it. x3

I got so many politive remarks and comments. Almost like fursuiting without fur. ^_^

Alot of people asked where i got it and what kind of uniform it is.
Its a soviet captain-rank from 1983. The pin & the two medals are real.

(And random journal being random; I actually bought 4 medals and 2 pins in Berlin the day after the con. )


The future
I hope that i'll see anyone that might read this at a future con. I had a blast and enjoyed the time with every single person i talked to at the con. I only wish i had spoken to more. : >
I will be going to NFC '15. EF21 and i /might/ head to CF. : >

. . . And now if we all clasp our paws together and prey that i get into the next CC-Suit batch. ;) 4th times the charm.. ^^

And just like that i'm preparing to get my bags and go to Eurofurence.

Not only do i get to go to the second largest con in the world. (And my second con overall. xD )

So i just got home from a party with several of my closest (non fur.) friends and as a closet fur... Its kinda hard to 'keep face' when consuming large ammounts of alcohol as some may or may not know..

You know.. Not slipping back into the fun part of yourself in all the furry-awesomeness. :)
So.. We're playing a tabletop game with a translation very close to "Ink-blotch game." because that is what it is. You get an ink-blotch and you are supposed to write down every item you can see. A cicle? "Ball." One point right there.

But then there are some seriously complex ones. "Robot duck with a vacuum cleaner." I... Sure was alone with that one. ;)

Anyway! The point of this journal was. As the title says; How to spot a fur.
When i was given an ink blotch i could only see one thing... "I.. See a penis. Ergh- Dick."

"What.. Kind of dick is that?"

"That.. Would be a dog dick."

*Blank stare and no one gives me a vote - As per rule. If they cant see it i dont get a point.*
Oookay then... *Silently drinks my beer.*

So its about a day and a half since the end of Nordic Fuzzcon 2014 and what can i say.

Best shit ever? I went there with little to no expectations. Altough since i'm an absolute riot to hang out with i knew i would atleast have -fun-.

This was far more than fun! This was the best shit ever.
Everyone was super nice and i had an extremely good time! Next year will be even better as i'll hopefully have my own suit and can join in on the suiting fun.

I had a plan on writing down all the highlights but everything was absolutely mindblowingly fun.
Even the simplest and dullest of conversations had a positive spin on it. Just being there.
(Jesus. As i'm writing this i notice it looks like i'm writing it high! Con-High? )


And whats more? I'm a straight guy that have a huge problem with hugging people from the opposite sex and whats that? I hugged a ton of ém? Geez. Arent you all fucking special! D:
With the notion the absolute vast percentage (80something percent) is either gay or bi. I didnt know what to expect either but to my suprise there were some absolutely gorgeus ladies there aswell! You know who you are!! :D


What else can i say.. *taps chin as i'm trying to write it all down as i go. Not really planning; Letting the words flow.*
Oh? And the Wonderfull  Templa /completely/ changed my mind when it comes to toony suits. I went from an extremely iffy standpoint or even a plain 'meh/no' to "Holy **** ***** I want one! So i thank her for changing my opinion in a heartbeat! :D

So going from in an incredibly good mood to crushing dissapointment is kinda like being in a caraccident.

So this weekend i had my very first encounter with furs IRL. Woop woop.

I had an absolute blast as they were really friendly and fun group of 'people' ^^;
Such a relaxing feeling to be around people that shares this intrest or lifestyle rather as its a pretty big thing. :3

One of them actually suited wich was freakin' epic.
It changed my 'i want to get a suit' to 'I NEED one god damnit!' xD

Looking forward to more furmeets. Might even tag along to NFC. :3

I've been thinking more and more about my 'Sona and i thought i'd share my thoughts; And as i dont know any IRL furs (Closet fur! >.< ) i thought i'd post something here.
Not quite sure anyone reads it but anywho~

Is my fursona a bit too simple or stereotypical? Seems like there are a billion /black/ /wolves/ out there is some /runes/.
I dont like bright colours and black fits the backstory and setting i feel he fits in.
A wolf; Because its the only animal i myself feel myself connected to and share the most of my personality with.
The runes; The back tatoo/marking is Odins Heart. Just cuz' i think it looks absolutely awesome and its from norse mythology. Me being a Swede it made alot of sense.
The 7-looking marking on the face was just to fill out the plain black features. If anyone has any idéa. Please poke me about it.


Not going to go into background and the character itself as i was curious of what people thought about the appearance.

Hmpf. I really need to be more active here.
Concidering my last post is 5 month old...

The plan was to snatch up my fursuit from Clockwork Creatures and make short stories to go with some profesionally taken photos.
But that kinda backfired when they couldnt take my request. (10slots and 71 applied... D: )

Ah well. I hope i'll make the next batch and i can go with my plan. Not to mention i might actually go to a Con and meet some fellow furs as i know of none in person. :I

Kinda the shitty part of living this far north. xD

I've never. Never been focused on my body. I've always i shouldnt bother. There are so much more fun things to do with my time that i would be spending on training.

Let me start with a short description of my physique. I'm really. Really skinny. (60kg and 181cm tall.) And i don't really have much energy because of that. (No food intake. No power supply! ;) ) Anywho~
My siss' poked me a few weeks ago with the idéa we should start working out together. Swimming more specifically. (We both got an inherited joint-problem wich makes our joints prone to get dislocated under heavy stress; Ergo, weight lifting.) So swimming is ideal!
I've now Swimmed 3days 1hr each time. for a total of 3hrs. And i can already see amazing results. What. The. Shitz. Why haven't i started doing this earlier?
I feel better both physically and mentally. I dont really lose gaming/drawing/whatev time because its just a few hours per session. And when i /do/ play etc. I enjoy it so much more because the muscles are sore. :)

Super tip; Work out. Start small and /work/ upwards. Can't say how glad i'am that my siss' put me up to this. :D


. . . Now i just need to start drawing actively again... :I

Merry Xmas to all of you. It just passed midnight and it's officially Christmas! :)

Being bad at drawing sure has it's reward in the end. I descided to really put some effort into a drawing for once and take some risks and not take shortcuts to make it easier on myself. And after an hour of raging like a madman. (I'm not a raging kind-of-person. But this really made me go nutts.) i ended up with a character that looked an awefull lot like me. Not sure if it was by accident or i have some sort of hidden potential.

I just need to learn how to use SAI a bit better. I feel rather handicapped with all these tools and i use 3 of them <.<

I've always been good at the things i like. Maybe that's why i like them?
I was a natural the first time i played counterstrike for example. I could just sit down at the computer and start downing these digital soldiers. No problem!
I love languages and geography. Niether of wich is any problem to me.
Hell. I'm not even close to have the physique to be a good paintball/airsoft player. But when i'm on the field with the gun in my hand i just run for it and take the win!

This have given me a wrong sense of confidence to my abilities... Every time i come up against something i'm not naturally good at i feel absolutely awefull. The worst sense of failure and mental anguish ever! This especially comes to me when i'm drawing. I love to draw! But i'm having some major issues with it. I have the creativity to come up with things but my hands and my drawing-tools, pen/paper/tablet whatever they may be. Does -NOT- agree with what i'm trying to put down on the paper! It's like playing a game and someone keeps tugging on the mouse-cord without your knowledge.


Guess i'll just have to push through.
