The greatest love song ever written.
Posted 14 years ago"Hey There Delilah"
Over the past few weeks I've been listening to this song more and more, relishing and trembling in the pleasure/pain that results from love and heartbreak.
My BF broke up with me recently, though the still loves me and I still love him. He thinks it would be better for me of we weren't together, and because I know that he will not change his mind, I refuse to hurt him more by trying to convince him otherwise, no matter how I feel.
I hope that we will meet again, and that we still love each other then. I will always love him.

If that storm is anything like the other that shares its name, it will leave everything soaking in its own fluids, wasted out of it's mind, and PINK.

Pilgrim
Versus
The
World.
I eagerly await this movie. From what little I've seen, It'll probably be respectably funny, moderately unintelligent, horrible action-packed, remarkably original, and supercute.
If the entire movie is ridiculous and an insult to my intelligence, filled with horrible special effects and worse than this year's The Last Airbender, I won't care that much, because the characters are so terribly cute together.
Anyone else going to see it?

FREAKING HILARIOUSNESS.
Posted 15 years agoI honestly don't know why this song is so funny to me, but I think it's awesome.

It's just so funny!
Lyrics are below the video.
EDIT: To clarify, the lyrics are awful, evil, and horrible. I just like the way they're sung, not the actual message/meaning.

Lyrics:
Kak uzor na ogne.
Like a pattern on a window.
Snova proshloe rjadom.
The past is near again.
Kto-to pel pesnju mne.
Someone sang a song to me.
Zinmij vecher kogda-to.
One winter night sometime.
Slovno v proshlom ozhilo.
As if coming alive in the past.
Chi’ix- to berezhinix ruk teplo.
The warmth of someone's gentle arms.
Valsy iziskonnyx gostej.
The waltz of exquisite guests.
I veg lexix konej.
And brave horses running.
Val’s kruzhil I njos menja.
The waltz spun and carried me.
Slovno v skazku svoju manja.
As if beckoning in its tale.
Pervyj bal I pervyj val's.
The first ball and the first waltz.
Svuchat vo mne sejchas.
Resound in me right now.
Zerkala v jantare.
Mirrors in amber.
Moj vostorg otrazhajut.
Reflect my delight.
Kto-to pel na zore.
Someone sang at dawnbreak.
Dom rodnoj pokidaja.
Leaving her cherished home.
Budesh' ty v dekabre.
You will be, in December.
Vnov' so mnoj, dorogaja.
Again with me, darling.

Ironman 2
Posted 15 years agoI just got back from seeing it. It's perfectionary epicness is barely describable. I loved it. I am utterly shocked and awed by the maker's ability to engineer a movie more epic than Ironman (2008), but, in spite of my skepticism, they have done it. A wholly perfect movie, with a perfectly whole plotline and sequence of events.
That means you should go watch it. NOW.
As a side note, it was the only movie I've ever attended a midnight showing for. I liked the experience more than I had anticipated.

The Actual Title Was Too Long to Fit.
Posted 15 years agoThe Advantages of the Anthropomorphic Animal's Features As Applied to the Practical Manipulation of Bioplasma.
WARNING: As the above suggests, this journal may offend the Pope. If you do not wish to read anything that may offend His Holiness, please look away.
_____________________________________________________________________________
The anthropomorphic animal, referred to as an "Anthro" from this point forward, has many physical characteristics that make it an ideal manipulator of bioplasma. Bioplasma, also known as psi, chi, aura, and other names, is an energy found in living things. More information can be found here: http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~sai/energ.html .
TAIL:
The tail of an Anthro can act as a fifth primary limb, granting the Anthro enhanced control of bioplasma. This ability is most utilized in most feline-like Anthros due to the flexibility of their tails. Canine-like Anthros also have a tail-based advantage, as the thickness of tails in most canine species grants the canine-like Anthro the ability to draw large amounts of energy from the surrounding area into the tail and to quickly distribute it throughout the rest of the body.
EARS:
The ears of an Anthro are, in most cases, very mobile. This ability to change position enables the ear to assist in the direction and control of bioplasma; the ear's simple, triangular shape enhances this. This attribute is especially potent due to the location of the ear at the top of the head, as the head is a major focal point for bioplasma and energy in general.
MUZZLE:
The muzzle's location and shape allows the anthro to draw large amounts of energy quickly into the head and body, as well as increased focus and control when projecting bioplasma/energy from the front of the head.
FUR:
Possibly one of an Anthro's greatest advantages when manipulating bioplasma is it's fur. Capable refining an Anthro's draw*, projection**, containment***, and transfer****, fur has a great many good effects on an Anthro's bioplasmic manipulating, and remarkably few bad ones.
CLAWS:
An Anthro's claws are much like it's fur. Made of hard keratin, a claw is useful for strong bioplasma draw both into and out of the body, as well as strong bioplasma projection.
FANGS:
Made of strong, intricately woven plates of enamel, Anthro fangs are mostly useful for bioplasma storage, though they also assist in the filtration of bioplasma entering and leaving the body through the muzzle.
(*)draw- the ability to bring bioplasma into and out of something being touched directly. It is nearly always easier to draw energy out of something than it is to draw it into something.
(**)projection- the ability to bring bioplasma into and out of something not being touched directly. In this case, fur is best at strong, close bioplasma projections, such as shields.
(***)containment- the, uh, containment of bioplasma; fur is useful for holding large amounts of energy.
(****)transfer- here referring to fur's ability to rapidly transfer large amounts of bioplasma along itself to other parts of the body.

How to Train Your Dragon
Posted 15 years agoI just saw it today, and OH MY GOD IT WAS COMPLETELY FACKING AWESOME. I can't describe it; words fail me. Just see it. Preferably in theater, more preferably in 3-D. SEE IT. ASAP.
Oh, and I've temporarily put the Lycanthrope project on hold; I'm making dragons instead. They're surprisingly easy, even the fire; by far the largest complication I've had yet is the shape of the lungs.

My Muse
Posted 15 years agoApparently, Blue October is my own personal muse. I finally started writing part 2 of A Tale of Misery after listening to their song Kangaroo Cry. And then I realized that the only other song I'd heard from them- which I can't remember the name of- is what started the first part, even though I'd only heard it once, months before. So, I might have finally found my muse. Huh. I'm gonna have to listen to more of their stuff sometime...
Wolfram|Alpha...
Posted 16 years agoIs AWESOME.

I am completely in love with it. ANY information I want, I have. It rocks. It even defines "werewolf" SIX DIFFERENT WAYS!!!!! Stephen Wolfram is a genius. With a wicked awesome name too.
It can tell you the exact position of the moon on any day in history, as well as loads of other stuff. It's like Wikipedia, except everything on it is TRUE. I love it. Two minutes messing with it, and I was all "hehehehehehehehehe..." I LOVE IT.

What would you do...
Posted 16 years agoIf you saw a real, live, anthropomorphic animal furry on the street? It's an interesting scenario to think about. How would you react to that? Personally, I think I'd either faint, start sobbing uncontrollably, or hug them and then proceed with one of the first two.

Amy Lee Has Competion!
Posted 16 years agoAmy Lee, the lead singer of the band Evanescence, has had a very poor band history. After the release of Evanescence's first album, Ben Moody left, followed by every other original member of the band in the next few years. The original members, sans Amy Lee, are in a band called We Are the Fallen. The purpose of We Are The Fallen, Moody says, is to fill the hole Evanescence left. They don't. They suck. But this does pretty well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6gF.....gLJ_g&NR=1

Exodus
Posted 16 years agoHas anyone read Exodus? It's a wonderful book by Julie Bertagna. It isn't quite a furry story, but one of the characters is so furry it's not even funny. I just finished reading it, and it was lovely. If you haven't read it, do so immediately. If you have, read it again. If you remember it too clearly to read it again, comment on how much you liked it.
What Shall Become of Me?
Posted 16 years agoI'm trapped in my own mind.
I could be a writer, but I can't write well by myself on command. I could be an inventor, but I have NOTHING of ANYTHING. No partners, no friends, no resources of any kind. And even if I wanted to really try and do something, I'd be too obsessed with something else to do it. My only hope is a science that isn't supposed to exist, and technology only I can make. And if only I can make it, and it isn't supposed to exist, and I can't even build whatever I need to, then how am I supposed to prove that it does exist, and get rich/famous/influential? Or at the very least secure a decent future for myself? I'm stuck, and everything I do or am is one of two extremes that I constantly flit between. *sigh* Life hates me.
