2017 year end review
General | Posted 8 years agoWell 2017 was a rollercoaster of a year for me, I sold my house, I got a new boss at work, my mom died, my husband's grandmother died, lived with my dad for 4 months, helped get him back on his feet, bought a new house, moved to Houston, my bf sukafox13 finally moved in with me, opened a new store, and got to train a new district manager... who will be my new boss in 2018. I went to TFF and AC, i usually attend more cons, but wasn't able to this year... I'm ready for 2017 to be over, my life has done a complete 180 and I'm ready to get back to normal. But 2017 ended on a very positive note which hopefully will mean 2018 will be a good year to follow what was probably one of the worst years I ever had. Good riddance 2017.
sukafox13 finally moved in with me, opened a new store, and got to train a new district manager... who will be my new boss in 2018. I went to TFF and AC, i usually attend more cons, but wasn't able to this year... I'm ready for 2017 to be over, my life has done a complete 180 and I'm ready to get back to normal. Furocity Media To Close down internet streaming.
General | Posted 10 years agoWith a heavy heart, I am saddened to say that Furocity Radio, Growl Radio, and Furry FM will be closing down internet streaming. The main reason for this is that the licensing board has decided to raise the rates on stream licensing, and unfortunately they do not account for small broadcasters. Our Licensing costs will be doubled and unfortunately makes it very hard for us to pay our bills. We appreciate the support from everyone that has made Furocity Media great. Furocity Radio Live will still continue to do shows at cons, however as of January 1st, we will be closing down our internet streaming. The Media empire has been in operation since 2012 and continues to grow rapidly every year. General | Posted 11 years agook, I have had time to settle back in from my weekend at TFF, here is the recap...
Thursday: Flight to Dallas was supposed to be at 6:20PM. well I was on a stand-by flight as my dad used to work for Delta airlines and I get a family rate of $62 round trip. The flights looked great for that night up until 30 minutes before the flight. Another flight got Cancelled and they added 16 more people on my flight bumping me off... i was pissed. I had them get me the next flight which was at 6:10AM Friday morning...
Friday: I wake up at 4AM and drive an hour to the airport to make my flight. My flight didn't have any problems so I was on my way to TFF. I had a connection in Atlanta as Delta didn't have any direct flights from New Orleans to Dallas. So I get to Atlanta and i'm talking to my Canadian fur friend
terror-the-hedgehog who just happened to be flying Through Dallas for work at the same time I was going to be getting there.. So I catch my flight from Atlanta to Dallas, had no problems there. I arrive in Dallas around 11:15am and I head to baggage claim. On my way, I met up with Terror. We chatted all the way to my baggage claim carousel. It was awesome meeting him in person and cool that we just happened to be at the same airport at the same time. So I collect my bags and my Golden buddy dash1 Picked me up from the airport and we went to the con. We went up to the room and I got all my stuff situated then went down and got registered for the con. I met up with some of the 
FurocityRadio crew, David Frost , Echan and his mate Larry, Dash's mate Pondit, Leo Lion and his mate 
kurisu-kitsune and we all roamed around until we decided to go get dinner at BJ's grill. After dinner, we went to the liquor store and got some drinks for later. We went back to the hotel, began drinking, and after I was good and drunk, I got in fursuit and headed down to the rave. Once I got off the elevator, I saw Kenneth Rayes and Steven Miller as well as a few others and went and said hi. ginhataru saw me and gave me a hug and took a pic of me in suit and was apparently "fanboying" over me.. I didn't know I was that popular... So I then went to the rave where I met up with 
durangodingo. We danced till 2AM until I got so tired and my buzz was wearing off. So i went back to my room and headed to bed.
Saturday: I wake up about 9:30AM and take a shower and get dressed and head down to the con and roam around for a bit before Dash and I get hungry and decide to go to get lunch over a potbelly's sandwich shop. We happened to be talking to the guy making our sandwiches and he happens to mention that he was at the con the night before late and partying. I didnt catch his name, but it was cool that there was a furry working at the place we went to eat. We finish eating then head back to the con. I get a phone call from my dad telling me that my flights back for Sunday were full and I wasn't going to be able to get back on my stand by ticket.. so panic mode sets in and we scour the internet to find me a flight back... $180 and an hour later I have a reservation on a Spirit flight back home which relieved me for a bit... I had to leave the con earlier than I had wanted, but atleast I had a flight home. So we headed back to the room to suit up for the fursuit parade. Got in suit and headed down to the parade and saw my buddy
Zafuyu and we talked for a while before the fursuit parade. It was stupid hot in the ballroom in fursuit for the 45 mins they made us wait while they setup the fursuit picture. So the parade goes well and we get done, then I headed to the main entrance of the hotel for a Fur-it-up photoshoot. After the photoshoot, I went back to the room with my "entourage" and we hung out for a while before deciding to go get dinner at The Magic Time Machine.. well we get there and there was a 2 hour wait so we said screw that and went next door to TGI Fridays where there was no wait. We had dinner then went back to the con. I went to the 
louisianafurs Meet and greet, where i met up with 
hollyfaye and 
blackwolf12tails and many others. Had some really good Cinimon apple Liquor goodness before I left and went back to my room where I proceeded to get drunk once again then get back in fursuit and go to the rave. Hung out for a while at the rave, went into the headless lounge where I found Ajax Chowsky and his mate Conner Bircher as well as 
Niru and Justice Hunter and Sean Chappell. There was some kid being escorted by con ops that was smashed and puking into a garbage can in there that we were all kind of staring at and watching. was kind of entertaining... So I cooled off a bit and met back up with Frosty and we went to the hotel bar where I met back up with Gin (Corey Womack) and I had fun making him blush, So we sat around and chatted for a while and I made them all laugh in my drunken state... Then this guy (Warewolf) comes along... he was trashed... and he sits down next to me and begins to pet me and snuggle on me and im like WTF man I dont know you.. he even tried to grope me and I had to basically push him off of me... so he eventually leaves and we continue talking for 30 or so more minutes till about 1:30AM and I head back to the room and go to sleep.
Sunday: I wake up at 9:30 AM, Pack my things, and head to the lobby to say good bye to some friends that were awake and Dash takes me to the airport. I get to my gate on time and am waiting on my flight and it got delayed from 12:30PM to 1:00PM... then 1 comes along and it gets delayed till 2... then 3... then my flight gets cancelled... i'm like FUCK! I stand in line for an hour and the next flight wasn't till Tuesday... I had to be back to work on Monday... I had them book me on that flight as a "just in case" so then I start trying to find a ride home... everyone I knew that was driving had already left or were leaving Monday.. I checked rental car prices they went sky high with the flight cancellations $400 one way... so I did the only thing i could do, called my boss and told him I wasnt going to be into work on Monday... He understood so i then began trying to find a ride back to the hotel. frosty came and got me and brought me back to the hotel and even offered me his room to stay in over night. He was a lifesaver. So i got back to the hotel and hung out with Frosty, and Gin basically the whole night. Ookami Lord stopped by for a bit, I then took a shower and went down to the dead dog dance, but no one was there so we just went back up to the room and watched movies for a while until i kinda passed out in the middle off the movie all snuggles up on Gin (which was really comfy). So about 2AM Gin leaves and we all head to bed.. I slept on the edge of Frosty's bed like a dog (pun intended) and I woke up at about 7:30AM
Monday: Time to figure out how to get home. I got all my stuff and headed down to the lobby and got me a coffee from the coffee shop and talked to friends as they were leaving. I got a text from Blackwolf asking if I still needed a ride home.. of course I did.. so he "played tetris" with the luggage and somehow we got it all squeezed in and me too... the drive back to NOLA was interesting... Ice all the way to Schreveport... good thing Blackwolf's mate
huskyboi was driving (he is from up north and is used to snow driving) He had fun scaring me and Blackwolf as he drifted his car through the snow... but somehow we got back to NOLA in one piece about 11PM, I got my truck from the airport and got home around 11:30 PM.
That is about it, if I left anyone out, im sorry, but feel free to comment if I forgot anthing! It was an amazing and stressful trip but I made great new friends and have amazing memories! Thanks to all that made it special for me!

General | Posted 11 years agoSo today is my birthday. I've made it 31 years... When i was a teenager, with all the crazy shit I've done, I never thought id make it this far. Seems like time has flown by. there have been alot of good times and bad. But over all, I couldn't be happier to be a part of this fandom, have a loving mate by my side, and ave such awesome friends!
My Birthday is in 4 days...
General | Posted 11 years ago...and im not even excited. Im gonna be 31. I feel like all of my good years are behind me and all i do is work and stress about my financial problems. I really should be living life... its too short to be living so miserable. I am getting more gray hairs by the day. I hope someone will make my birthday this year better than ones in the past. Make my special day truly special in some way.
