I've been sick for weeks. On and off with severity, but it makes it hard to be upright for long. Add technical difficulties on top of that and I'm fuckin' miserable.
It should pass soon...but either way, things are still being worked on. Just...slowly, and with a lot of headaches along the way.

Things are very slow going though, as I find myself suddenly and obnoxiously caught in one of those ruts that make the tablet pen feel funny, and nothing flows together correctly. So I'm going at it very slowly, trying to make sure I don't screw anything up, and hopefully this goes away soon.

General | Posted 13 years agoI'm back from my trip to the beach, which was a very fun and relaxing venture. I probably won't be getting back to drawing til tomorrow, since I'm exhausted and need to settle back in before I can dedicate my best thinking to my work.
Even though I live just over an hour from the coast, it still feels like I've been in a different state for the past couple days. Such a different environment.

General | Posted 13 years agoTomorrow I'm leaving for a couple days to go to the coast with my mom and sister. This is a re-emptive warning, because I'll probably forget to do it later. Naturally, I will not be able to work on commissions or personal art til I get back, but I'll try to keep in contact when I can, although my phone dislikes the mobile site for FA.
I am going to eat so much crab. Hnnnnghhhh my mouth is already watering.
ALSO I am beginning to do game streaming, and will probably return to art streaming as well. I'll try to let you guys know when I'm playing/drawing for your entertainment. I'll be playing stuff like DayZ, League of Legends, probably some Diablo, and when it comes out, Guild Wars 2. Only the PvP for Guild Wars though, since the rest of what I'll be doing will be normal boring stuff, with a lot of RPing along the way.
I am still open for commissions, as always. Feel free to send me a note if you're interested. Even though I won't be able to start til after I return, I'll still be able to communicate with you about it.

General | Posted 13 years agoI'm stuck. Not in an art block, or a writer's block, even. But just in....a life block, I guess. I've got a rapidly dwindling pool of people in my real life that don't make me feel like shit about everything. Even people who I used to look to for comfort are starting to turn around in really weird ways, and I can't make sense of it. I used to want to do concept art for a career, and I'd still like to, but I don't know how to get there without bankrupting myself, and for what? A piece of paper to PROVE I can do what I've been doing my whole life. I'm too crippled by my social anxiety to get a "normal" job, but I don't know where to find the motivation to hunt for something else, especially without any qualifications. I wish I could go back to school, but I want to get a place of our own again before I do that. Money takes priority right now, unfortunately, especially since I don't even know what to do with my life right now.
Thank spirits for the internet, because without it I'd become completely cut off from people aside from my fiance, and the little bit of my family that doesn't tear me to pieces.
I'll get over this soon, I'm sure...as soon as I manage to forget the words and weirdness of people who I used to feel so close to. General | Posted 13 years agoI miss roleplaying. I miss it HARD. That's why, when Guild Wars 2 comes out at the end of this month, I will be a happy camper. Seriously happy. I can't wait. And SWToR is gonna have a free-to-play option now, so I won't have to shell out any more money, and I look forward to going back. I liked that game a lot, but no game is worth 15 bucks a month to play. I miss my Sith.

General | Posted 13 years agoOnce I finish this round of commissions and open back up, I may be raising my prices. I've literally been job-hunting for over a year and haven't gotten a bite yet, and what little money I get goes to supporting myself and my fiance while we live at home, so we don't put pressure on his folks.
I probably won't bump the prices up by much, since even a small amount would cause a significant difference to me, but there will definitely be a raise.

General | Posted 13 years agoSO for those of you who don't know (because I'm an idiot and forgot to update this place), and for those of you who even care, I'm sorry I haven't updated in a couple weeks. I've been in Arizona visiting family, and will be returning home on Tuesday (two weeks went by so quick T.T)
I'm redesigning some of my characters, namely Lucifer and Jezebel, because their design is horrendous. The "humanoid form" i sketched for Luci a while back is going to get tinkered with, and that will take over as their actual form. The six-legged shape will get redesigned as well, and made into a separate, but related thing probably.

Oh my god, feels good bro.
I'm gonna try to draw again, if I can get my ideas flowing on the digital paper. I'm bringing back some old characters. Some really, really old characters who I miss dearly.
If my writing keeps up, maybe it'll go somewhere. I've always wanted to publish something. My aunt recently wrote and published a book, so there's no reason I shouldn't be able to. I don't want to second-guess all my ideas anymore.
I feel pretty good right now.

That's okay though. I think I might revisit my roots, back when i regularly wrote fan-fiction and drew fan art and stuff. I've neglected all my fan-characters for so long...maybe I need this right now. Just for a while. I have some cool ideas in the making for some Mass Effect stuff, not to mention all the Guild Wars stuff I said I'd be doing and never did.

Tailbone turned out to not be broken. I found this out when an apparent infection located right on top of it burst and caused some pretty intense bleeding. So there were a few stressful hours spent in the hospital, but now I am pain-free and on antibiotics to keep that little bugger from coming back. That was awful.
The good thing about all this is I AM BACK. I can sit and walk and run around and draw all the time like I could before this fuckery happened. Yay!

General | Posted 13 years agoLooks like it will be a while before I can get any real work done...my doctors are pretty sure I broke my tailbone, which means I cannot sit for very long, which means I can't get any drawing or writing done. Sucks, but yeah.
It's been hurting the past week, and the last couple days it's been hard to even walk. I went to the doctor today, and got some x-rays done, so hopefully I'll be able to get something to help with the pain and let it heal.
