As living becomes more expensive, unfortunately the price of my writing must go up with it. Starting next year (that is, 2025), I'm going to raise my prices from $0.03 a word to $0.04 a word. This also means the cost of a short image vignette will increase to $20, and a long image vignette will increase to $40.

This won't affect any commissions prior to the new year, even if I don't start working on them until then.

(This is about the American presidential election for all my international friends)

I know things seem bad. The future looks scary. But at times like this, we cannot give in to despair. The powers that be would want nothing more than for us to wallow in inaction. Remember that even if you can't change the world, you can always do something, no matter how small, to make things better for yourself and those around you.

Be kind. Take care of yourself, and support your loved ones and communities. The only way we'll get through this is by getting through it together.

I normally don't journal about current events, but this one feels to important not to. For those who don't know, Dragoneer, the site owner and founder of FA has recently passed. The impact of this loss has already been better by people who knew him more, and I don't have to tell you what a loss to the community this is.

FurAffinity has been a huge positive influence on my life. I've met friends and discovered things about myself. In a way, this website made me the person I am today. And I am so grateful for that.
