Yup, so I kind of took an unannounced extended vacation from the internet. I AM A HORRIBLE PERSON. Mostly did this because I had it in my plans to go ahead and be a man, and TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY. I'm late, as usual. I needed a day or two to gather my thoughts about AC to make a full report.

So, this was my very first AC and 2nd furry con that I've attended. I have to say that I had a complete blast being there and meeting tons of people and art peoples I've admired since I first stepped into the land of the internet. I got somewhat trapped at the Artist Alley for the first few days and didn't really get to have fun until like..Sunday, which made me a little sad because I had no idea socializing could be so much fun at a furry con and I WANTED TO DO MORE OF IT. It makes me sad, but at least I know how to manage my time better next year and for future larger cons. Overall, I really enjoyed myself and hope to attend AC next year! Now to mention some awesome people I met or spoke with or whatever I FEEL LIKE I HAVE TO DO THIS.

Yeah, me and Mur are thinking about learning how to make fursuits yeah? Going to AC only made this decision a definite FUCK YEAH LET'S GET STARTED. It's kind of funny to think about though, I used to be terrified of fursuits and now here I am wanting to make my own. I'm still creeped out by the really..horrible fursuits though kjhgsd I won't even get started on those.

So yeah, I kind of wanted to begin compiling a list of supplies to get started with and to budget out how much it's going to cost. I know it'll be a lot, which is why I'm being as cautious as possible and trying to gather up as much info as possible before I get started. I've already been plowing through the lj community for fursuits for some info, but that place is so cluttered I feel as though I can't find much at all. So I was wondering if any of you wouldn't mind lending me and Mur some advice on how to get started, what are the best places to buy materials from and maybe point us in the direction of some nice tutorials?? Hellooo, just wanted to update and let you all know I've returned from AC! I had a great time, and I'll make another journal soon with a full report on everything and my commission list from the artist alley and what's up with that. Right now I'm currently in Orlando for a week and won't be returning to Sarasota completely until it's time to go back with  Dislocatedpenguin, her parents are in town for a while, so she's visiting them. C: I decided to come along and stay over  minimumtalent's place while she's off with her parents and everything ffff. It saves on our electricity bill and what have yous >_>; So, yes. Full Body badges start at $50-$60 for digital, depending on what kind of shading you're interested in getting (ex. either cell shaded like the standard badge examples or painterly like the full body badge example. Traditional full body badges would start at $60, and goes up depending on the complexity of your character.

If you'd like to try your luck with waist up badges, those I would charge $40 for digital, and $45 for traditional. As of yet, I don't have any examples of those, so these would be the first. C:

All of the traditional badges come with a lanyard and badge clip, and all of the badges that are $40 and up also come with those as well!

I'll be taking in 7 slots this time, just because it's the last time I'll be open for these for a while. I really suggest getting a traditional badge due to the fact that this week I will be at AC and it will give me something to do on the way up and while I'm just kinda hanging around in the lobby. That way I can just bring them back and scan them in for everyone. If you get a digital badge, you'll have to wait until I come back from AC and get some older commissions done first. Yeah, I'm pulling an all nighter to get some work done today. 0: Mostly because um, I have to go to Orlando this evening to take care of some business and won't return until Sunday..so that takes off a lot time for art, which is bad because I leave for AC on Tuesday. So I'd rather get everything I wanted to get done before I sleep..instead of like, sleeping, then waking up and only having so much time for art. xD; I'd hate myself.

BUT THAT'S BESIDES THE POINT. I thought that maybe to help my outrageous all nighter, besides copious amounts of caffeine and bubble gum, would be to gather some new music because I'm getting to that point where everything I listen to is starting to get a little "meh". Normally when I do this, it's not very successful because I never really post what kind of music I like so..I think I will this time.

Lately I've been binging on 80's and 90's music, you know, back tracking a little because everything in this era of our being kind of sucks for some reason, except the exceptional few here and there. I feed off of music that gives me nostalgia, like N'sync and Backstreet Boys, why, just the other day I went to Goodwill and to my surprise they had a buttload of ridiculous 90's albums and I about cried from happiness. We're talking stuff like old school Britney Spears, O-Town, 98 Degrees, Soul Decision, Spice Girls, etc. I was tempted to buy them all but..half of the music that was on those cds I already had. So. eh. Music like that makes me happy, idk why, it's so lame, but it gets me pumped. I'm the type of person who gets easily inspired by music. When my music inventory is hurting, so is my inspiration, though lucky for me it hasn't taken a blow yet and I'm still going.

So I've got a few things on my mind about AC next week (that makes me panic a little) and was wondering if I could find some answers..

I remember when I first went to FWA this year, some things about it were very unexpected and were met with consequences because I didn't know about them, like..my account be charged for overdraft fees. xD I'd like to avoid that this time so I won't get any angry phone calls from my mom. So uh, one thing I really want to know, does the area AC takes place in charge for ridiculous parking fees? I'd like to know this because I'll probably be covering these fees. I: Just curious as well, I don't wanna go thinking I can just park in the hotel parking lot and everything will be A-OKAY.

Another thing, prints, I was thinking about getting some made to bring with me. However, I don't know how well those would sell and if people would be interested in having one. If you make prints to carry with you to cons, how do you go about doing that? Like, do you just go to Kinkos and get a few made? xD; Also, how much do you sell yours for? I'm kinda new to this, so my questions probably seem silly. With that being said..If I do decide to make prints, what should I make prints out of? >_> I know I could make a few out of my Harvest pic, but that's about it I believe.

Once upon a time, my fursona started out as a black/white spotted husky/skunk/bunny, then she changed to some black anubis/wolf/gryphon thing, then to a red/black/white kitsune thing, then to some sort of dumb digimon terriermon rip off thing, then to a weird dragon/cat thing, then for a while I was some lame angel australian shepherd puppy, then to a husky/fox, then to a fox/malamute, then to a kitsune/malamute/australian shepherd thing, then from there to a malamute/fox/finnish lapphund, then around the corner to a malamute/finnish lapphund/gsd/fox, then I finally got some sense knocked into me and cut the fox thing, and went to being a malamute/gsd/finnish lapphund. Then I had some life changing experience and made my fursona part wolf, so she changed to a malamute/wolf/gsd and HERE I AM. Now I just wanna go to being a wolamute because that's easier. But I CAN'T GET RID OF THE GSD, I specifically have gsd mixed in because of some of my personality traits..

..I will never win this inner battle. So a shapeshifter I will remain.

I would totally go ahead and order internet but all of my provider choices have been shut down EVERY TIME!!! I tried Verizon and AT&T, both of them can't provide internet to our area for some silly reason. So I tried the next best thing, uh, Bright House and apparently they don't provide for us either..so we've been left with shitty Comcast service. It feels kind of painful to know you're going to pay for god awful internet service.

Hey everyone, just got back from Elliot's yesterday and had a complete blast. (8 Got to meet some new people and got to hang out with my super awesome friends. It was really refreshing because ever since I've been out of school..I've been doing nothing but sitting in my empty apartment with my roommate and nothing to do but to be entertained by the cats. (Which is always fun, right?) The only exciting thing we got to do this month was take a road trip to my house and then to New York. I: So this was reallyyyy fun, now I'm really excited for AC.

Anyways, I finally got myself a new computer desk and I just ordered my new tablet pen, so I should be able to start on commissions again whenever my pen gets here. C: We still don't have internet just yet, but we'll be getting that set up once we return from Orlando..which will be this week hopefully. Apparently Sarasota can go suck a cock because we can't get neither AT&T or Verizon to do our internet. So we have to settle with the local area internet provider, which is better than nothing at all. So yeah, everything's finally coming together, I just hate that it delayed my art schedule by a month. :/ But that's alright, eventually I'll be able to start spitting out commissions on a daily basis. Until everything's set up, I'll be finishing up the badges I owe and the rest of the sketch commissions, I kind of wanted to have those done before the internet got set up because I kind of work better that way. xD If that makes any sense.

Sooo yes, here's a complete list of stuff I owe people. What I want to try and start getting in the habit of doing is setting up a to do list once a week for myself. I got a lot done, but since I was so unorganized..there were still 2 or 3 left from that batch I didn't get to finish until school breaks. So to prevent that with you guys here, I would like to set up weekly schedules to get things done. What I would like to do is post that list in my profile, instead of my entire to-do list. Soooo, I'm back in Florida now. The drive down from New York was brutal but it wasn't too bad, I survived. I:

While I was there though..I lost my tablet pen, so I'm kinda fucked at the moment. Right now I'm using my roommate's tablet to get things done. Speaking of which, I also need a desk to work on, I kinda got desperate and hooked up my computer ON THE FLOOR so I'm just kinda laying in front of it trying to work in photoshop..which..isn't cutting it.

Sooo because of this, I need to open up for a few slots for badges. l: I can't get much done on the floor, I also can't get anything done if I don't have a pen. It kinda..sucks. So all I can really offer right now is traditional things.

So if you would like one, note me with info and such. q_q; I don't have very long here in the lab, so I'm gonna have to check back when I can get a hold of the internet at some..place that offers free wifi, which shouldn't be too long. I'll probably head over to like..idk, border's or something. (I don't have internet at our new apartment yet. >_>;)
